My favorite is Suicune. When I was a kid, my first game was FireRed and it was my mission to complete the National Dex. My dad bought me a pocket-sized handbook that had every Pokemon in it with useful game information for all Gen 3 games. I browsed through it just for fun and, when I saw Suicune, it immediately became my priority to hunt it. Especially when I saw you could get it in FireRed if your starter was Charmander (which it was). I chased it down maybe 5 times and could not catch it because I didn't understand how roaming Pokemon worked. I thought that if it ran, it was gone forever and I only had 1 shot. The reason I thought this was because if you defeat a Legendary in FireRed, it disappears forever. So I did the only thing I knew I could do to GUARENTEE that I catch it 1st try...I bought LeafGreen, played it until I got the Master Ball, traded it to my FireRed, chased down Suicune again and used the Master Ball. I then proceeded to grind it to lv100 on 7 island and I transferred it up through the generations as time went on. I used it in the Battle Frontier to get every silver symbol/print possible. It is such a fun Pokemon. :)

Thunderbolt has 100 accuracy, while Thunder has a bit less, but deals EVEN MORE damage, allowing you to one shot guys you have no right beating so easily. Furthermore, Jolteon has annoying moves like Sand Attack, Double Team, and of course, Thunder Wave, a move that used to have 100 accuracy and turned your opponent's badass guy into a pushover who's slow and misses half the time. Also, he had Pin Missile, which was the only decent Bug move and thus the only decent move that was super effective against Psychic types. Also, Electric only loses to Ground types. So yeah, Jolteon is a badass and for that reason alone, he's my favorite Pokemon. He also manages to be cute and cool at the same time, which is impressive tbh. He's like a cooler Pikachu.
Noivern is excellent, it's easily my favourite gen 6 mon! Love it. If only its evolution level was more practical for a playthrough of a game that has it.
Espeon all day every day. Eevee was my favorite before gen 2 was released. When I got a copy of silver and my eevee evolved into an espeon, I was in love. New fav from that moment onward.
Never gonna get over how clean the new intro is. (I guess it's not "new" anymore but I've been watching for almost 10 years so it still feels new to me lol)
My favorite pokemon is lesser appreciated but always loved by me and that's spinda. Its goofy smile, wide use of punches and confusion attacks, cool ability like being unable to be confused and its over 2 billion variants I just love the little guy
I have a fondness for the bug types, Kricketune is my favourite bug of all, not because of its cry (though that's part of it) but because when I was younger it just captured my heart through getting that last hit on garchomp. It's the only Pokémon I have ever considered using across gens, even upon hearing black and white, transferring up my beloved Manchester.
Gardevoir for me, I loved its role in Mystery Dungeon and the design is pretty great. Also Ralts was my first ever solo run in Sapphire, which was a ton of fun (and frustration) too.
It’s so wild to me that I was like, 15 when you shared your original top 10 video and I was soooo excited to watch it when... and here I am all these years later getting excited to watch your top 25!!!!! Thanks for being a part of my personal Pokémon journey, your channel and online presence has been such a wonderful light in the community for so many years. Happy Pokémon Day!!! 💕
I never thought regis were cool until regieleki literally became my favorite pokemon, overthrowing my childhood favorite keldeo as that was my first event mon in gen 5
Back when I first played Red, Charizard was my absolute favorite, and my mom got me a stuffed Charizard and Bulbasaur at one point. I hated Bulbasaur, but as time went on, I started to like it a lot more. Then a friend told me that if you choose Bulbasaur as your starter, you breeze through the first two Gyms, so I made the switch and never looked back. I named my Bulbasaur in LeafGreen after my dog, so I'm never going to wipe that save, and in Mystery Dungeon Blue, I chose Bulbasaur as my buddy. To date, he's still my favorite and I don't ever see that changing. Second favorite is Weedle because of a hilarious story a friend and I came up with in college after several drinks.
Crobat will always be my number 1. Back in the day, playing gen 3, I didn't know Zubats made it all the way to Crobat, I thought it ended at Golbat. As Zubats were always looked down, I decided to train one to see how it would fare and I was decently surprised by the uses I found for Golbat. I will never, ever, forget the shock and thrill when I saw Golbat evolve. And after Crobat came, learning that it evolved through friendship a bit later, it was as magical to me as it had evolved because I decided to believe in him. It was almost as if he was saying thank you. I will never forget that child like wonder and magic I felt, and for that Crobat will always be my number 1. He is my lead to every battle and the heart of any team I make.
Diggersby has always been one of my favorites. You just gotta love the cocky smile and his tiny little hands. He was my favorite X and Y pokemon, is still one of my favs
People... i beg you, inform yourself when the time comes. Inform yourself if there really is a significant change or not in the Quality. If many Reviews say that its just the same Trash-Quality and not worth buying: Have the spine to not buy it. Have the spine to not be that companys little 'B'. If we accept even slightly better Quality than Sw/Sh had, we will only create our own grave.
@@loturzelrestaurant Dude...I don’t listen to reviewers that much. I just want to play Pokémon. And not to be rude, but it sounds like you’re pretty easily influenced by others. Have you even tried SwSh? How do you know many people like me don’t actually love the games? Maybe you need the spine to take initiative and make your own opinions.
@@dachking6657 Not really, buddy. You really just have a really simple view on all this. "I just wanna play pokemon", yeah, buddy, go figure. We want Quality and if you, for example, accept and even promote trash-quality, for example sword and shield, then you make it worse for yourself and also for all of us. I'm not 'easily influenced' but 'INFORMED'. Giant difference much?
@@dachking6657 Yeah, i played Sword and Shield. Its objectively the worst trash this franchise has ever produced and thats kinda fact. But you dont know enough and youre not informed enough to even know this common knowledge, i suppose. Youre just the kind of fan that is a Bi### for Gamefreak - you give them money, no matter how they treat you. Nooo matter how.
Solgaleo is my all time favorite, coolest looking legendary with the most badass theme ever, while most legendary have beautiful and grandiose themes, I love how Solgaleo and Lunala have an upbeat techno theme which really differentiates them from other legendary, it also makes sense since they are other dimensional beings.
Even through all these years and all these different Pokémon, I'm glad to see you also have a favorite that's stuck with you since its inception! My favorite in that camp still is Spheal, which was definitely a love at first sight Pokémon for me!
My favorite for the longest time has been my starter and arguably the most forgotten of the bunch: Torterra. He's always overshadowed by Infernape and Empoleon and isn't even all that great in the games. But with a unique typing and one of the best designs in the game, I will love it for what it really is: a badass continent tortoise; and something I'm looking forward to in the diamond and pearl remakes.
I am an infernape guy, and I always will be. I already know what I'm gonna nickname it in the remake. But if it weren't for the nostalgia, if it was me, now, all these years later choosing for the first time? I reckon I'd pick Torterra. Badass continent turtle indeed
Now here's someone talking about my favorite starter. But overshadowed by Empoleon? I always found him the least talked about of the Sinnoh starters in my experience.
@@EvilLobsterKing That's probably a bit more fair. but now that I think about it, the sinnoh starters in general are some of the least talked about starter pokemon.
@@chriskendall1619 More accurately, nobody cares if you do like the results. People don't like hbox winning lmao. That one set was hype to watch but it doesn't balance out the endless sets of slow camping that usually happens.
@@chriskendall1619 yeah, crying on stage for a fighting game is pretty cringe. The only person who is capable of that is the premier narcissistic, prima Donna himself; Hbox. Z trigger + up > down + B isn't exactly "hype". Especially when he copied the playstyle from another top player, Mango. With that said, Leffen winning Evo was the most hype.
My number one is Espeon. I like psychic types as a rule, and I like small animals I can theoretically carry, so why would't I love the small, carriable psychic type?
Love your content Josh! My favorite Pokemon is Sneasel! Love how confident he is even though he is so small. I feel like a Sneasel could walk up to a Tyranitar and say, "I can take him!" with no hesitation :)
Lillie: “Some people believe that the Gen 4 remake was never going to be the made, and that the cycle is broken. But I haven't lost hope. I still believe that somehow, the Pokémon company will return to save the world."
My favorite Pokemon is Milotic. I remember the first time I saw it on Cynthia's team. I was mesmerized by its beauty and its wonderful battle cry when sent into battle. I also love the unique way Feebas evolves into Milotic and how rare it is to find. Also, its Pokedex entry really gets to me. It will calm any hostile emotions you're feeling. And also, in times of war, it shows itself to soothe people's hearts and minds. And in today's day and age, we really need something like that in the real world.
Galvantula is my favorite pokemon. Spamming thunder with wide lens making it near 100% was so fun during my first BW and BW2 playthroughs. It also helped me in a good amount of nuzlockes and finally sticky web teams are really fun to play imo and Galvantula is my go to sticky web setter. So many fun memories I have with this cool and adorable electric spider
"I'm just glad that everyone is happy and that nobody on the Internet will ever have to fight about Pokémon ever again." Um... You might want to look at the like/dislike ratio for the Gen 4 remakes, Josh...
Apparently sword and shield were so bad that it is physically impossible for game freak to ever make a good game again, according to 50% of twitter at least.
Thank you for making and sharing this video with us! JWittz, I've been watching your videos for years and it's helped me appreciate the Pokemon series a lot more knowing some of the history and lore behind the franchise. But they're cheesy and funny in a way that appeals to my inner child that first fell in love with Pokemon all those years ago. I wish you all the best and hope you'll continue to create interesting and fun content, Pokemon-related or otherwise! Thank you again!
I was always a fan stoic edgy bois as a kid, so two of my favorites are Mewtwo and Zangoose. I love the giant claws and red face marking on Zangoose and its sprite has the perfect expression. I also love Houndoom and Mightyena.
Magneton will always be my favorite. It has always had my back in the games, and somehow seems to make it into every regional dex. (outside of B/W Unova)
Glad to see my favorite, Chandelure, make the list! The design captivated me at first sight, spoiled to it before the release of Black and White in the west. I ran one in game, and a convention shortly after release led to me commissioning a hat of the shiny form, and building a friendship, springboarding into further unique challenges that the artist says she's enjoyed.
Ok I change favorite Pokémon weekly, so I’ll just give a general “best 5” Excadrill (mostly from Clay’s, and it’s an amazing sandstorm sweeper) Staraptor (I’m practically addicted to aggro looking sweepers and it can actually work like that in the story) Feraligatr (the only starter I will defend until the day I die) Swanna (the most frustrating stalling tactic I’ve pulled off in a playthrough, and the satisfaction of defeating a terrorist organization and a god with an angry swan is endless) Rayquaza (personal reasons, TLDR is I got to the top of sky pillar to catch it the day my St. Bernard died) Sableye/Snorlax (my dad’s favorite Pokémon, and I enjoy myself both a gremlin and a chonker)
Drowzee has always been my absolute favorite Pokemon. I have always been fascinated by its powers, its odd appearance, and how threatening it was to me in the Pokemon anime. Drowzee isn't to everyone's taste, but I love it so much.
My favourite is Garchomp. Just the way this land shark powerhouse can sweep entire teams and it being basically the final boss of the Platinum Elite Four made it my favourite. Whenever I play through Platinum, I like to imagine it has a rivalry with my Torterra.
My favorite poke is a tie between poliwrath and politoed. I’ve always loved that whole line despite only using them one time in a game. The biggest reason is that as a fairly young kid I got good at drawing them before almost any other Pokémon and I was really proud of that. And now, majoring in art in college I still draw them fairly often, and include them in Pokémon art whenever I can find a reason to. :)
Jesus christ you were my childhood as a kid way back during the pokemon black / white and pokemon x / y days. God the nastalgia hits hard and the videos are still as good as I remember. Keep up the work man. Edit: spelling errors my b
Crazy enough, my first Jwittz video was that top 10 pokemon video. It's crazy how much the channel has grown since then. I've had a couple changes in my own top 10, but Scyther is still my favorite, and has been since I was 10.
Milotic is my favorite. I went through the painful process of catching a feebas in gen 3, but it wasn't until the gen 3 remakes that I actually got to use one during the main story. The design is amazing, and any Milotic I've ever used has carried my team super hard.
Jwittz I just wanted to stop and say that I’ve been watching you vids since I was in elementary school and through it all you’ve remained one of my favorite youtubers. I’m now in my second year of college and it’s great to see how much your content has grown. Keep up the great work!
As a kid, I probably would’ve told you that my favorite Pokémon was Jolteon. But as time has gone on, I really fell in love with Mawile. I used one on my team way back in my first Ruby playthrough 17 years ago and when playing through Omega Ruby, the sheer power of Mega Mawile really made me fall in love with this cute little deceiving monster. Mawile’s design is the perfect blend of unique, scary, cute, and fun, and Mega Mawile makes it even better. I have a collection of Mawile merchandise now with a page full of Mawile cards, to Mega Mawile card sleeves I scoured the internet for, to my Mega Mawile plushie that has really helped me through some rough times(especially in this past year). Mawile is just great!
since I started with pokemon at like 4 or 5 years old, my favorite has swapped a bit over the years, but my current and most long time favorite is starmie. Second favorite is gyarados, third favorite is spheal. Starmie has been my favorite for 10 years now, so I don't think it'll change again. I love water types, and the purple and gold color scheme with the gem is perfect to me. I also love the starmie and staryu personalities in the anime.
My favorite Pokemon is Absol. As a kid, I had a really big fear of thunderstorms and tornadoes which has its own story I'm not going to get into now. When I read Absol's dex entry for the first time and saw it was basically an EAS system that knows before anything else when something bad was going to happen, I attached myself to it and dreamed of Pokemon being real so I could have my own therapy Absol. Ever since then it's been my favorite Pokemon.
@@jaxu i guess im confused, what are you hoping for news wise? Its too early for mechanics news since the next set is full of crazy crap. However I believe we will get Platinum Arceus 2.0 next year, hopefully bringing back the multitype deck that never got its chance back in 2010
For the longest time, my favorite pokemon was Blaziken. Ever since gen 3, I've always loved its falcon chicken hybrid design, and I love how powerful it was. Gen 5 came around with speed boost and I loved it even more, but then gen 7 came out with a loan ninetales and Blaziken had a tie with one of the most majestic pokemon out there. Then gen 8 and cinderace came out and for a while, that became my favorite pokemon. Its libro ability and awesome soccer rabbit design won me over. However, with Blaziken no longer being an Uber, I m starting to use and appreciate it a lot more, and Blaziken is my favorite again.

"No-One will ever complain about Pokémon again."
Oh no, my good sir. You presume too much.
whooosh
@@OtakuUnitedStudio “Whooshing” yourself?
@@EWOODJ The “ No one will complain again” was sarcastic so Flamestar320’s comment missed the joke.
I want Pokemon to die not gonna lie. I've just lost hope that the series we'll get any better now.
@@EWOODJ No, because I was able to pick up the sarcasm Josh meant to convey. Apparently more than one person thought he was actually serious.
I'm more of a Regibigassdragonskull guy myself, but both are really cool
Flygon for me! always loved that they turned a dragonfly into an actual dragon.
Mudkip, however, is def my favorite starter of all time.
Snivy is my favorite, the pokemon that made me want to play pokemon. Didn't evolve it and it's still on my copy of Pokemon White 2.
you,sir/madam/genderless entity have refined tastes.
I still refer to Snivy as Smugleaf. It will always be Smugleaf to me! (Just like Marill will always be Pikablu to me.)
Why didnt you evolve it how did you beat the game
Agreed and same
@@sarahross975 Serperior is also very bad in battle, so I don't think evolving it would have helped too much
"Mewtwo. Oh, hey! It's our final man-made monstrosity!"
LIAR
True. He did forget about the "Man-made" Fossil Fusions that Galar introduced.
Lugia got me into pokemon as a whole, so I think thats the best pokemon
Definitely one of the most majestic
I concur
Bulbasaur is one of my favorite pokemon and I love its evolshons and I cute
I can’t wait for the Diamond and Pearl remakes, my all time favorite Pokemon is weavile, it’s cool and hits real hard
Ironically I'm not excited and my favorite is Emporeon
You are a person of taste.
@@PeruvianPotato emopleon is my 2nd favorite starter
Happy anniversary everyone, and i hope you have a good time with the new games!
it’s time to end the furret escalator stream
hearing the original top 10 voice clips makes me nostalgic wtf😭 love hearing about ur favourites!!:)
this brought back so many happy memories, Jwittz shaped my childhood, this was awsome
Diggersby has always been one of my favorites. You just gotta love the cocky smile and his tiny little hands. He was my favorite X and Y pokemon, is still one of my favs
Diggersby is underrated as heck.
DO NOT CALL DIGGERSBY A HE! ALL POKEMON ARE TO BE CALLED IT, NOT HE OR SHE!
Maybe their diggersby is a male thats why they said he
Are you serious you realize a good portion of pokemon have genders right?
Glad to see a fellow Chandelure fan. I never got the whole inanimate object Pokemon hate. They have been around ever since gen 1.
that's just from stupid people that don't understand how pokemon works.
Onix, Geodude and its evolutions comes to my mind along with Magnemite, Magneton and everyone's favourite explosive mimics.
I guess you could say it's LIT
But not wick
I like Chandelure a whole lot, too.
Glad to see some Chandelure love.
People... i beg you, inform yourself when the time comes.
Inform yourself if there really is a significant change or not
in the Quality.
If many Reviews say that its just the same Trash-Quality
and not worth buying: Have the spine to not buy it.
Have the spine to not be that companys little 'B'.
If we accept even slightly better Quality than
Sw/Sh had, we will only create our own grave.

Its really amazing.
I feel like it's different every time I think about it, but Sneasel is always there as a favorite Pokémon.
God, it's nostalgic to hear you mention The Many Faces of Mewtwo.
Still my favorite video of yours
This is literally the fastest I've ever got to a video.
DIFFERENTIATES IS NOT A REAL WORD! DON'T YOU MEAN DIFFERS?
Marshadow is my cute little shadow boi and is suuuuuuper underrated. Also yes I am salty he was evil in that movie.
havent seen you in a long time man happy to be seeing ur videos again! ive been a fan for a long time
I'm amazed this ISN'T already on the channel. Props to ya, JWittz.
@@DeadlockDrago I definitely feel like people talk about piplup a lot, but the evolutions less so
@@EvilLobsterKing That's probably a bit more fair. but now that I think about it, the sinnoh starters in general are some of the least talked about starter pokemon.
torterra superiority rise up
Putting puff up that high then liking how she plays in melee while showing that absolutely depressing evo set. I can't do it, man.
"depressing"
He literally showed one of the greatest evo sets of all time.
Nobody cares if you didn’t like the results.
@@chriskendall1619 More accurately, nobody cares if you do like the results. People don't like hbox winning lmao. That one set was hype to watch but it doesn't balance out the endless sets of slow camping that usually happens.
@@Jarekthegamingdragon so you said it was depressing, and then said it was hype to watch. Pick one, you can’t have both.
I wasn't expecting a Pokemon and Ghost of Tsushima crossover but here we are
"The Tale of Sensei Lucario"
Ha! Thinking that Legends: Arceus is anywhere near as good as Tsushima!
My number one is Espeon. I like psychic types as a rule, and I like small animals I can theoretically carry, so why would't I love the small, carriable psychic type?
Mine is Umbreon
sounds like we're destined to meet in a battle of glory
Love your content Josh! My favorite Pokemon is Sneasel! Love how confident he is even though he is so small. I feel like a Sneasel could walk up to a Tyranitar and say, "I can take him!" with no hesitation :)
Favorite Pokémon: Sandshrew... though I have a recent soft spot for Glaceon and it’s cute bangs
Lillie: “Some people believe that the Gen 4 remake was never going to be the made, and that the cycle is broken. But I haven't lost hope. I still believe that somehow, the Pokémon company will return to save the world."
How does Lillie feel about Gen 5 remakes?
Just like there’s hope out there for Star Wars
My favorite Pokemon is Milotic. I remember the first time I saw it on Cynthia's team. I was mesmerized by its beauty and its wonderful battle cry when sent into battle. I also love the unique way Feebas evolves into Milotic and how rare it is to find. Also, its Pokedex entry really gets to me. It will calm any hostile emotions you're feeling. And also, in times of war, it shows itself to soothe people's hearts and minds. And in today's day and age, we really need something like that in the real world.
My favorite is Mew. It’s just so versatile and cute as well as mysterious.
My favorite is blaziken because I used it to beat sapphire over 8 years ago started my long journey into this fandom
My favorite Pokémon is actually Nihilego.... Hehe
*Lillie soon smiles like her mother*
Gee... I wonder why!! (Coughsarcasmcough)
My all time favorites are Ampharos, Scrafty, and Appletun.
"Nobody will ever fight about Pokemon on the Internet ever again"
In a video about the absolute most subjective part of Pokemon
Best satire ever
"I'm just glad that everyone is happy and that nobody on the Internet will ever have to fight about Pokémon ever again."
Um... You might want to look at the like/dislike ratio for the Gen 4 remakes, Josh...
joke
Why do I feel like Josh meant that sarcastically?
Apparently sword and shield were so bad that it is physically impossible for game freak to ever make a good game again, according to 50% of twitter at least.
Pretty sure he was being sarcastic and/or implying that Pokemon fans are never satisfied
The likes and dislikes look good tho
I also love Houndoom and Mightyena.
competitive zangoose
Magneton will always be my favorite. It has always had my back in the games, and somehow seems to make it into every regional dex. (outside of B/W Unova)
Didn't expect to see garbodor at 1, but ok.
Especially tied with Electrode, Delibird, Swalot, Wormadam, Carbink, Bruxish, and Greedent.
Garbodor with its ability to just shut down most stategies due to sealing abilities is OP, I'm surprised they kept it at unlimited for so long
Chesnaught has always been my favorite Pokemon. My first starter ever from Pokemon X and I definitely feel that it’s underrated.
Aegislash is my favourite!
Great pokemon, awesome typing, sick ability and mechanic, my main in Pokken and I use it on competitive teams.
Hydreigon, love dark types and I remember grinding a whole week to evolve my first one.
As a kid playing Gen1, my favorites were Bulbasaur and Dragonair.
Such a perfect update to a classic video I’ve watched so much. Guess now I’ll give that one a rest and rewatch this over and over.
Ok I change favorite Pokémon weekly, so I’ll just give a general “best 5”
Excadrill (mostly from Clay’s, and it’s an amazing sandstorm sweeper)
Staraptor (I’m practically addicted to aggro looking sweepers and it can actually work like that in the story)
Feraligatr (the only starter I will defend until the day I die)
Swanna (the most frustrating stalling tactic I’ve pulled off in a playthrough, and the satisfaction of defeating a terrorist organization and a god with an angry swan is endless)
Rayquaza (personal reasons, TLDR is I got to the top of sky pillar to catch it the day my St. Bernard died)
Sableye/Snorlax (my dad’s favorite Pokémon, and I enjoy myself both a gremlin and a chonker)
Your video in 2012 was one of the first videos of yours I ever watched when I was 11. Glad I'm still watching in 2021
Drowzee has always been my absolute favorite Pokemon. I have always been fascinated by its powers, its odd appearance, and how threatening it was to me in the Pokemon anime. Drowzee isn't to everyone's taste, but I love it so much.
Who are you, MandJTV?
My favourite is Garchomp. Just the way this land shark powerhouse can sweep entire teams and it being basically the final boss of the Platinum Elite Four made it my favourite. Whenever I play through Platinum, I like to imagine it has a rivalry with my Torterra.
NGL, whenever Ditto was transformed into a person in the Detective Pikachu movie, I couldn't look at the screen. It made me that uncomfortable
Machamp! Wish I had a big pokemon lifting bro. Happy pokemon day everyone!
Jesus christ you were my childhood as a kid way back during the pokemon black / white and pokemon x / y days. God the nastalgia hits hard and the videos are still as good as I remember. Keep up the work man.

Mine too
I never expected my favorite Pokémon to make this! I love Silvally!
My three favorites are still Hypno, Jirachi, and Mienshao. Nothing's changed since Gen 5
I’m just glad that Pokémon is finally getting better

My favorite pokemon is Flygon. I don't even really know how it became my favorite. It just did.
I used to have a plush toy of one. I lost it during a move. I was completely devastated. Hopefully one day I'll get it back.
Its mine too! My first time seeing it was the jirachi wish maker movie and I loved its cry
Great to see a video of yours again and happy 25 years of pkmn
My favorite Pokemon is Absol. As a kid, I had a really big fear of thunderstorms and tornadoes which has its own story I'm not going to get into now. When I read Absol's dex entry for the first time and saw it was basically an EAS system that knows before anything else when something bad was going to happen, I attached myself to it and dreamed of Pokemon being real so I could have my own therapy Absol. Ever since then it's been my favorite Pokemon.
