We may have just figured out where Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Pokemon Let's Go Eevee take place on the timeline! It's a pretty big 'what if' theory, so bear with me. Yes. It was hinted that your Pokemon "traveled through space and time from the Unova region" when transported to newer games. Wormholes shown in Alola (non-Mega timeline Emerald Boss Anabel being in Mega timeline S/M/USUM) and Hoopa's powers in ORAS (dragged Looker to Hoenn timeline with amnesia) are somewhat similar to the Pokemon Bank in connecting generations.
The lore is the best thing about pokemon honestly.

As for the events and everything that happened in B&W 2 it still happened in a mega-universe in the past. You just have to assume that the remake already existed (which at some point will probably happen. The next one D&P is already being made).

You left out a small tid-bit, necrozma is the way he is because of ultra megalopolis! Basically they used him as a giant battery sucking all of his near infinite light, hurting him permenatly and preventing him from retaining light and is what keeps him from retaining his ultra form.

Where, for the love of Mew, did you find out chronology of Megalopolis? For all we know they might've stolen all of its light to use as energy and only then it retaliated.
They stole all of its light. If it has light - why would it need to consume an endless amount of it? It can just eat a small amount, if it even eats light. There's no point for Necrozma to endlessly consume light if its energy storage isn't endless, like it is when there's a hole in it made by the people of Megalopolis. Necrozma just wants to restore its natural form and then kill everyone who made it suffer for eternity. Not like that last part is good, but it is understandable.
@@farresalt4381 oh I said Necrozma was female because others called it male, it’s definitely an it/they since legendary and only a few legendaries have a gender. Now to be honest this was a while ago so I have little idea what you’re talking about, but I’ll try nonetheless. I like to think of necrozma like mega gengar, unable to control itself. From what I’ve seen in videos, it consumes light endlessly to return to a form we call ultra necrozma, a being made of pure light, as it’s called. However, it cannot stay in this form for long, therefore it needs to consume more light. The alternate universe megalopolis did use them as a battery, but (as were told) it’s because necrozma is the only form of energy left in that universe, which makes no sense if rushing water still exist or wind still exists. Now, we were told this by the inhabitants of megalopolis so it could be a classic tale of conquerors bias, telling the tale in your favor. Honestly, though, take all I say with a grain of salt, I just woke up from a bad sleep, so I could be prattling on without proof.

However, -I disagree- what I wanted to say is that the only things I found out about Necrozma is that:
• it was injured by ancestors of the Ultra Recon Squad in an attempt to steal its light;
• it was trapped in its prison in Megalopolis by its people, namely - Ultra Recon Squad;
• its blackened state is unnatural and a result of its injury, which inflicts severe pain on it and makes it unable to contain light.
Now, you could speculate that Necrozma was first to gather all the light in the world of Megalopolis and only then their ancestors decided to "steal it back", but to me the way it is worded makes me think that they're likely the first ones that got greedy and tried to steal its energy. And they paid for that greed.
Haven't watched the movie myself though, maybe it's more explained there?

I refuse to believe they planned this out since before Gen 7 or Let’s Go. But it makes so much sense that I could see that being the case.
The idea of this universe not being the first one blows my mind.

More like A POKEMON THEORY
You know, the library in Ula’Ula island mentions an invasion by Necrozma in the past that was repelled by the Tapus, during which it merged with Solgalao/Lunala. The only reason Necrozma would do this would be to achieve its Ultra form, a form more powerful than Arceus. Assumedly the Tapus stop this, but with Ultra Necrozma having as much power as it does, we could have another AZ situation here. Imagine, it’s ancient Alola. Necrozma shows up and eats Solgaleo/Lunala, archiving its Ultra form. The Tapus rise to defeat it and separate it from the creature it ate. They succeeded, by the massive amount of energy released splits the universe in two. One where the original set of events transpire, releasing so much energy for the worlds Pokémon to absorb that they can Mega with only be somewhat close to their stone (and thus no one realizes that Pokémon can hold items, because seriously, what a weird idea) gives us Lets Go. The other, where the Tapus prevent Necrozma’s Ultra form and we eventually reach the Mega timeline as we know it.
What do think about that?
Everything is correct but necrozma being above arceus is incorrect by lore standard's
I will concede that how ever neither are Yvealtal or Xerneas, and yet they split the timeline when they were used in the ultimate weapon. So being as powerful as the Pokémon god is not an explicit requirement. Thanks for your input though.

yah, and then Arceus chucks Necrozma into Ultra Space because of the whole "Base stats higher than a god". It's similar to Giratina; big creation dragon gets to big for it's britches so Arceus throws into another universe till it calms down.

I'm genuinely just still confused as to where did Necrozma came from. Was it created by Arceus or did it come from another universe that Arceus didnt create? It can travel through dimensions right? as in, alternate timelines?
I think that when Arceus created the universe, Solgaleo, Lunala, and Necrozma were made to create light, hence the "Light Trio" name. Cosmog form nebulae, Cosmoem act as proto-stars (not fully developed), and evolve into light emissaries of suns and/or moons. Those Cosmoem that generate massive amounts of light become Ultra Necrozma, who then creates more and more stars throughout the universe.

@@robbob7840 Or most likely, the Light Trio came to be after their concepts existed, just as the Weather Trio which Hoenn myths state that they were born from the intense pressure of Earth's mantle (Groudon), deepest depths of the primitive ocean (Kyogre), and somewhere up in the atmosphere (Rayquaza), maybe even from meteorites/water particles, as these are described as Rayquaza's diet (though maybe not as Rayquaza isn't a Water nor Rock type).
As far as we know, the only Pokémon that preceded their concepts, being directly created by Arceus, were the Creation Trio and the Lake Trio.
Dialga and Palkia are described in Sinnoh myths as the creators of matter, and matter is energy so they may as well have created photons (light).
Now I'm aware that myths aren't facts, but considering that all the stuff said about Dialga, Palkia and Giratina is literally true as the gen 4 games plot shows, paired with the fact that Dialga/Palkia actually created a tiny galaxy out of nothing pretty much proves that they're the origin of matter.
I think Necrozma is something of an “Elder being” that was originally benevolent. It was not THE creator, but it was viewed as a protector and source of light. But after it was betrayed, it was more or less driven insane, and no longer able to produce light, instead consuming it. In the S/M timeline, it fled and crash landed at 10 carat hill at some unknown point, while in USUM, it was sealed in Ultra Megapolis, until the seal was no longer sustainable

With BOTW supposedly taking place after all three *split* timelines and Hyrule Warriors not being canon, Fire Emblem... being Fire Emblem, and Pauline not aging even slightly since the original Donkey Kong, a complete retcon would make some sense.
Also, having a set end point for the Metroid series (Metroid Fusion) kind of limits the potential of progression of the Metroid lore, barring the Prime series, and let's face it, a timeline where Metroid: Other M exists is the worst timeline.
Nintendo did express their preference for fun gameplay over a gripping story in most cases, so a clean slate could help quite a bit. Retcon the bad, fresh up the old, and bring in the new with one clean and understandable plot point in a pseudo-canon multidimensional party fighting game that's only really referenced outside of it in Kid Icarus: Uprising and not really anywhere else in a Nintendo IP.

@@NPC_5120 No, in the Japanese games and Origins anime, the rival is Green because the games were red and green. In English games and Origins anime, the rival is Blue because the games were red and blue.
It isn't it's actually it's own thing because Red still doesn't speak and uses a different team in his appearance in the mega timeline (SM)

The Anime and the Games have a different canon.. almost no connection aswell outside the obvious..

that's the issue with the Multiverse theory: it killed the pokemon continuity just so that Masuda could create remakes while going "lol lore, what's that?"
besides, if you want my theory, the game would take place after the events of Gen 1 (Gen III remake) and your character shows up during or after Red and Blue's Sevii Island excursion. (my guess is that they may try and set up a narrative but for all we know LGP/LGE may not be part of the pokemon canon).

Plus Meltan and Melmetal. Though this also brings up the question of how there are outfits designed after the Eeveelutions from future generations, if they aren't obtainable in Let's Go.

The games DO reference to other games happening at the same time (Such as Gen 3&Gen 6 happening while Gen 1 happens, and Gen 2 while Gen 4.)
Yet there are some plotholes here and there, we ain't sure where the other games are stationed, only knowing that Gen 7 happens nearly a decade after Gen 1, 3 and 6 (Due to grown-up Red and Blue) and B2W2 happening 2 years after BW, but that's all we actually know.
The split universe was explained in ORAS' delta episode, canonically by Zinnia.

So what im seeing is that in Ultra sun and moon, Necrozma ended then restarted the universe then lets go came out starting out as gen 1 again. And lets go is the same universe as red and blue but differentish events occoring in lets go.

and it totally makes sense that a region like Kanto would be more scientific and less religious/spiritual than Sinnoh or Johto. I think taking into account a region's culture is also important interpreting how they explain the pokemon world. Like how in Kalos mega-evolution is seen a result of the strong bond between trainer and pokemon but Alolan see mega evolution as something very painful.

Having played one of each pair, I'm sad to say not enough is different in a positive way to justify the USUM purchase. Also, while overall they changed too little, they also changed certain things arbitrarily and weakened the plot a fair bit.
I don't regret it, but would advise against it.
Buy it for the difficulty, quality of life changes and wormhole ride.
I LOVE usum(i think my favorite games) but i would just save your money for sword and shield

So after watching this video like six times because I stinkin' love it, it's just the right blend of hopefulness and despair to resonate with me at this moment in my life, it occurred to me: What if Necrozma's desire to become Ultra Necrozma is because it has only ever been Ultra Necrozma for the split seconds before it creates a new Big Bang? It wants that feeling of completeness, but each time it achieves it by consuming light, the energy is too much to contain and it remakes the universe; it then goes about trying to suck up all the light again, so it can be whole again, and achieves it for a moment before the universe gets reset once more…because it turns out that that is its purpose. It IS the Big Bang personified. Only by finding energy other than light, in the form of compassion and friendship, can it be completed without exploding into a new universe. That would both make Necrozma's existence a very sad one, and make its redemption at the hands of Player Character or Ash an unnatural disruption in the natural order of the universe…s. Maybe? I dunno, it's just a theory. But like, the whole "It used to be Ultra Necrozma and then one day it just wasn't and started eating light to become Ultra Necrozma again" thing never sat well with me - why did it stop being Ultra Necrozma in the first place? If that is its natural form, why did it lose it? This theory provides the answer: it consumes all the light in a universe to be complete, and becomes Ultra Necrozma for a moment before exploding into a new universe and beginning the cycle anew. That's really depressing. But it works, and answers one of my big questions from Gen 7!

and to answer his question, it would be Kirby. Since Kirby is canonically the strongest being out of the entire roster.
However, it would be hell to make since they would have to constantly deal with Enix, Platinum, and whoever else has a hand in putting their character in the game.
