@@yunga8305 I bought a 2004 2.0t with 104, 000 miles, 1 older owner and the original receipt for £20,000. All for £450. I have tinted the window, hydrodipped my wheels, made headlamp eyebrows and a debadged grille, fitted some window deflectors and colour coded a few parts. It has embarrassed plenty of newer cars in the looks and performance department. And some of those are costing more than £450 per month to buy. Check it out on my Instagram.

@@TheScottishSprayer I bought the 2008. S60 2.0t from the first owner from Germany with 170k km. A class higher than mercedes c, audi a4 and bmw 3 which I owned before. Amazing build quality and the most comfortable seats even among premium class cars. I came across this car by accident and its the biggest surprise.

I got 14 years old V70 over my 7 years old Astra J that I got from new and I couldn't be happier, I LOVE the Volvo (which is not a surprise, since I knew exactly what I wanted and it's hardly the first Volvo that I have). But the car is just so nice. Quiet. Smooth. Spacious. And even though I intentionally got a 2,4i without turbocharger, it's not underpowered. If fact it has exactly the rate of power you need to not distract you.

Recently bought a 2013 S60 R-Deisgn, sitting in the works car park next to the likes of BMW, Audi and Merchandise, it’s aged much better than its counterparts (not actually equivalent in my opinion), plenty fast enough and drives lovely, still gets looks and work colleagues asking questions about it. It’s the quality of car which people wish they had, but they choose the badge over the car.
If you want to roughly know what your car will be thought of in the future, just look at it’s predecessors.

If you are gonna buy a used one of these today, you'll see that it is still in decent state and won't take much maintenance to keep it crisp. Whereas likes of Audi and Mercedes, never mind the BMW, oh boy do they eat lot of oil and gas. Everything breaks, including the brakes, error lights that are still working are all lit. And the rust, it's all over. Pieces of junk now, at least those that people are willing to sell. Volvo still goes as the trusty rock of ages, through scorching heats of southern Europe as well as arctic winters of northern Scandinavia. Even after mileage equal to ten trips around the world. Rolling, rolling, rolling....

Volvo 2.5TDI(not the Audi V6 one) can easily reach 800.000km mileage. It's the same engine as in VW Transporter etc. It's simple engine based on classic fuel pump. There's also 2.4 D5 engine which doesn't sound like classic diesel engine(check it out), the downside of that one is that's more complicated than 2.5TDI and its based on common rail which can be reliable depending on quality of fuel, you shouldn't have problem with that. I saw people selling 2.4 D5 with about 600.000km mileage.
