Volvo is one of the most underrated car brands in the world. Many people forget that they made the P1800 and the Bertone bodied coupes.

Kind of.. thre was an italian chap helping design the P1800 and the Bertone coupe was made by...well, Bertone.

@@taunokekkonen5733 Well not really. The Volvo P1800 was designed by the very Swedish Pelle Petterson who trained under Pietro Frua, It's still his design although you can totally see the influence from Ghia and Frua cars from the period. When it comes to the Volvo 780 Bertone I'm gonna point out that Jan Wilsgaard was collaborating with Bertone to reach the final design.

I'd have to say SAAB is one of the most underrated cars around. I have 2, a 2005 9-3 2.0T ARC with a mild tune pushing 275 whp, almost the same as the turbo V6 aero model in the line up. My 2009 9-3 is an auto, has zero turbo lag and even stock, it's still fast and most importantly, both have been 100% reliable. But I really do like the inline 5 the Volvo offers. Can't deny that.

I've had a S60R and all I can say, it's absolutely fools safe at any conditions - sunny, rain, snow, ice. All the time you've got the feeling that Newton's physics doesn't work anymore, the car just goes where you want it to go.
Should I say, what happens when you drive M3 over limits on ice? Very, very expensive experience...

Other than the turning radius, my 2005 s60r was one of my favorite cars I have ever owned. 300hp and AWD that got an average 24 mpg in a car that felt like a comfy armchair, and could eat at least a Nissan Z in a drag, all while being safe is a great combo.

Used volvos are great in america because they lose their value quickly. You can pick up a $40k+ car for less than $5k with a little over 100k mi on them. Just make sure you know how to turn a wrench because the dealer will take you to the cleaners.

I’m looking to buy my first car and I’m thinking about a S60. When I was younger my dad had a 02 S60 and I just remember it being a really good car. My parents offered to give me their old 08 Highlander with over 250k miles and a broken AC system that will cost over $2000 to fix. (I live in Virginia so an AC is basically essential in the summer) I’m leaning towards the Volvo though. just because who knows how many problems the Highlander will have. Most of the used ones I found are around 5k and have less that 100,000 miles on them.

And thats why you get the prior year A4 or S4 B5 or RS4 B5. (the B6 S4 doesn't have any flaws so to say, the chain guides issue is on all FSI V8s, A6 C5 and the Facelift models of the A8 D3 2007-2010). The T5 has so many issues, the stupid girdle plate that hold the cams and acts as a valve cover and uses a sealant and that you literally roll on with a paint roller from Volvo, and it doesn't stop crap. The accessory belt has a tendency to get misaligned during heavy loads, and gets sucked into the cam belt behind the crank pully, bending all the valves. The rear heater hoses break from age, and the car overheats, the radio connection for all the modules in the car is fiber optic, and as it ages from vibrations it cracks and is guaranteed to happen on all of them, especially the C70 (Waste many hours testing all the lines to find the break and pull the interior apart to replace the line). The interior of them also don't age well at all unless kept in a garage its whole life. The NVH from the mounting system for the trans and engine is horrendous and feels like a diesel truck, the transmission are built like glass, and limit the torque in 1st and 2nd gear, they will start to slip around 100k to 150k miles with heavy use. The front and rear both suffer from extreme tire wear due to incorrect factory camber that isn't adjustable without buying adjustable arms (this applies to almost all Volvos of the era). I hate working on them.

It's very fun to drive, and it's always great to see the surprised looks on the faces of muscle car drivers when you stay right by their side at a set of lights. Despite the low ride height, I've found the suspension to be quite nice, and it even handles dirt and gravel roads quite well. The only thing I don't care for is the automatic gearbox. It shifts at the wrong times and randomly decides it wants to downshift into third gear while doing 70 mph on the motorway, so I always have it in sport. Other than that, great car!

But remember that the poles had no chance to break the war version without turing and vice versa. The real story is of course unknown but i know for sure that the poles had no ability or resources to build the machine that broke the lorenz cipher because if they did, it would be them that would have kept computers a secret or exploited it for themselves or sold the technology to the usa as part of war reparations as the uk did.

Love my Volvo s60! She still looks good and gets me to work everyday safely. (2002 with 170k Miles) EVEN THOUGH, the dash array only comes on when it rains (no gas gauge, no MPH, no Odometer, sucks). EVEN THOUGH, the turn radius is wacky and always rubs my tires. EVEN THOUGH, no matter how fast I go, people seem to ALWAYS get right up my ass like I'm a Granny.
EVEN THOUGH, she's been leaking oil somewhere for the last year and I've been getting crazy smoke out the exhaust under heavy load since then, like when going up hills/ quick acceleration. (Sorry if you behind me.. Admittedly I've been neglecting her.)
But there is something about this beautiful work horse that just doesn't stop. She is insanely reliable. She is very comfortable. She absolutely LOVES the cold and the snow with some classical music. (I'm not kidding you!) This is why once you own a Volvo, you buy more. They are built solid, very safe, and just run.
