They definitely improved the drops, earlier I got a LARGE crop plot as opposed to the medium.

Medium crops are great wym? You can put them in your right most slot and the pegos will take them.
Okay so Syn I have to tell you the moschops is why you're glitching while riding the boat or rather if any part of the tame is near you while driving this glitch happens. If you put the trike on the smithy and put the moschops side ways a little more forward or better build out some floors and ceilings on your raft it'll help a lot moving tames around and having more space.

Yep, this is the problem. Any dino near the boat rider will make this "bug"
its because there's no foundation. tames on a raft with no foundation and that's what happens.
If he put foundation down that wouldn't happen, even if tame is near the driver.
I was so mildly annoyed when he moved every creature but the moschops lmao
Yeah the game "bugs" when it has to calculate alignment for anything more than the rider on the skeleton of the raft,
Tames on raft should be sat on structures; preferably foundations, to minimise the issue...
I know it seemingly makes no sense, but there are slight differences in that a tame on a foundation can be dismounted(from the raft) by the environment... so the coding for their alignment differs slightly between on the raft or a structure

Syntac, I love this style of episodes where it’s not all edited and cut out. This series feels like proper progression because each episode in almost near just straight up raw footage. I would like to cont seeing these episodes where we follow your whole progression. Keep up the great work!

Generators dont use wires, if a structure needs gas you just need to out it in the generator and not inside the fabricator etc also you can place turrets on walls, ceilings too

Syntac, if you put your beavor on wandering it will farm wood automatically. You can do that, track it, and whistle to follow when inventory is full (it will stop gathering when inventory is about 75% i think
Also works with others doedicrus harvest stones thorny dragon wood and thatch gigantopithicus fiber hespo gathering fish and lays eggs otter fish and pearls moschops rare flower fiber mushrooms berries thatch wood silk organic polymer if near dead creature therizino almost same as moschops but better giga on aggressive gathers tons of meat many but not all dinos eat corpses giga does tho and its really strong so recommend him snail makes cementing paste and organic polymer I believe oviraptor collects eggs and helps them lay them dung beetle fertilisers and oil giant squid produces oil I thought roll rats can do something similar but im not 100% sure should use it with a leash so they don't die

My first thought was using the pillar as a place to build a spiral walkway down to the water and at the bottom building a dock to help with bringing stuff up when you go rafting 😊
sounds beautiful but very unpractical for the game. Just build a ladder and jump down into the water/climb up for the beginning
@@frankthecat1671 well yeah I don't think he should pull a building project like that right NOW! But in the future if he decides to stay here long term the spiral or a elevator down to a dock would be a cool thing to speed up moving dinos up there.
Spiral staircases make you climb up and down faster than free fall...

So many places on the island have increased the foiliage so much that you can't even tell what it was in ASE without the map.
You should go get a bear or 2! They got the POW, wide range of resources it can gather, speed, and most importantly it has the FLUFF!

I don’t know about anywhere else but i was always taught that the pillar is called a stack from geography it’s formed by erosion taking away sediment over time it’s called this because it’s at the coast I think inland ones might be called buttes but I could be wrong
Edit: my only problem with this is they usually form on headlands as they need erosion from waves to attack it from both sides and it doesn’t seem like that’s the case here but it is just a game I think they put more of a focus on looks as opposed to factual correct and it does add to a more fun game

When you were talking about the drops being OP, apparently according to a PvP yter I watch, the crafting cap is higher than it used to be, maxed out melee weapons have 755% dmg

You probably aren't able to harvest a lot of creatures, because the hitboxes are "improved". But what's cool is, that you can now headshot anything with anything. Like, you deal a dilo more damage with a pike when hitting him in the head. Even creatures deal other creatures more damage, if the damage was dealt in the head-area. I wonder if bosses then also do more damage, because your dinos are always face-to-face with them???

The base location from a viewpoint is absolutely stunning, don't know about practically though 😂 i can't wait to see what you do with the power going forward and I'm still looking forward to going into the snow. Great info on the beaver, that's going to be super useful

Just a heads up smaller creatures tend to clip into the terrain I have lost lots of stuff to pegos and they clip into the terrain and I cannot get it back, if you can kill them with a ranged attack, then they don't take as much knockback as a melee and improves your chances of them not clipping in the terrain.
been loving ascended so far! im a bit further along than syntac (or atleast his vods) just moved all my dinos to the location im gonna set up my main base. this maps been great love that while some of the older base locations have changed theres loads of cool locations for new ones :) even found a "cool" spot in the snow biome near some waterfalls.. keep up the great work syn!

I stopped playing ASE like a year ago since PS4 has the most annoying amount of frame lag at the most anyoing moments...but Syntac making me wanna redownload the game and play it eventhough ima be lagging alot....so if u heen tryna get people back into playing Ark and getting people to enjoy the game once more......ur succeeding thus far man....love the videos continue pumping out the content stay safe man and try and enjoy it yourself aswell❤

Whenever that raft glitch happened i put all the dinos on the raft facing forward and it stopped. It seems to fling you in the direction of where your tames are facing. That was years ago at this point so no idea of thats still the issue.
I want to preface this with i love your content and what you do. I have not had any problem with your ways to play the game. Mods etc. Ive always hated your stack mod. It is a guilty pleasure seeing you and the guys struggle with how things actually weigh and expand your inventory it is marvelous. Nothing but love but i had to say how much im enjoying this lol.

You can actually use the beavers to farm wood without a saddle, just send them near a tree and they will harvest it on there own

Enjoyed your videos in ASE, and those were what got me to start playing it again, though have to tinker with graphics so it looks right, not so much an fps issue as a graphics one. I hope with the new ASA they focus on fixing the current bugs and how the new graphics are working/not working for players. Really enjoying the new videos for ASA, as always they are entertaining, informative, and fun to watch. Look forward to more.

Hey syntac if you need a multi use creature get a stego, they harvest a bunch of wood and a good amount of berries if you put it in heavy mode.
So pissed it’s not out on console yet and I wouldn’t even be surprised if it gets delayed again because there is no contract stopping that now
In its current state you’re better off with it not being on console unless you’d only play single player, servers really need some work

@@a.l.4852 because if the game isn’t released at all then they can keep delaying but if it’s out and just not finished they can’t leave it like that because people have spent money so they’re trapped to improve on it like the contract
The game is so unoptimized rn that even a series x would get like 20 fps, it would be barely playable if they released it for console without more optimization

I was looking at that pillar and thinking it would be great as like a flyer landing platform then having a small bridge over to the main section. It doesn’t look to be too pillar needed spacing wise.
Playing for the first time the past 2 weeks, and the spot you chose for a base is exactly where mine is!
I made my starting base close to where you are making yours. Just a little SW along the beach near the river. I also thought of building where you are. It really is a beautiful view
The raft misbehaving with dino hitboxes is one thing that proves that this is without a doubt ARK. If the trike and moschops were to be placed atop a box or the smithy it would have been fine lol. Just looking at the wood structure engrams it looks like they've integrated most of S+ fully and added Atlas style building, I approve!

One one hand, I really want to see a baby Megalodon. On the other hand, the very moment that I do, my friend is most likely going to start singing "Baby Shark".
I was watching another Ark video and the guy put stone platforms across the raft. Either 3x3x2 or 3x2 with a clear place for him to stand by the tiller (can't remember which). He also put ramps up to the platforms for easier animal loading. Anyway, he could cary all sorts of animals. It was pretty ingenious.
They also added small caves along some cliffs that are pretty well hidden behind trees and foilage that have small metal rocks in them, I found a couple east of green ob near the swamp that had about 100 metal ores worth of rocks (with iron pick) in them.
Syntac knows what's up. He knows the Moschops is the greatest early tame there is!!
i built a base in the same spot you did in ASE on my first time playing, that cliff looks so much better in ASA

My idea for that pillar next to the cliff; landing platform. It's almost perfect for that purpose.
One of the stone wall pieces is really cool, there's a secret door option you can use. Just one option I found really fun
