I have a name suggestion for the Pteranodon: Painranodon because this to get this thing tamed you have to go through some of pain in the *ss situation so i think it would be fit to give it that name lol

Syntac a shrine to the ark dodo god you must build it you wish your luck to change :p
top left of the taming tab there is a drop-down menu that has an option called "tames in progress". Once selected, it will show you all of the dinos that you have KOed without needing to feed them.
Just a note - once you select track you have to double click M (or map keybind) and click on the dino then you can see it on the map without having to place food
and click the gps icon under their picture to add dinos as a Point of Interest for the real time tracking! Clicking the frame only tracks on the map

23:06 It's nice now being able to get prime meat in a pinch from baby dinos. I remember vividly in ASE early-mid game trying to get enough prime to tame a creature, but also having little luck finding a creature that gave prime that was also easy to take out.

Also after selecting tames in progress, u have to open the map and click on the track creature to activate it (not the most ergonomic way ikr but thats how u track it before feeding it)

Death by rex would be pretty quick compared to a theri, so i'd have to go with the rex.
Also dying to a Rex is a much cooler way to go.

Most people fear being burned alive more than they would being executed with a bullet to the brain. The reason being, burns hurt, a lot, and for most, being in agonizing pain for your final moments is arguably worse than something quick and near instant.
From a real/literal perspective the arks are terrifying very few things here will truly kill you fast enough for it to be painless. Imagine that every ounce of your body being destroyed, eaten, broken, shredded, etc and not getting the potential release of death and feeling every ounce of it. Then just suddenly waking up in bed again or on the beach again. All because of some ghost lady who wants you to save earth and won't let you die.
Probably wouldn't be able to feel pain by the time you're dead.

Tbh I think that, although it might be annoying for you, it is fun to have a series where things aren't as easy. ARK content became just a bunch of pros just completely dominating this game. And I love to see you struggle a bit here in Ascended.
The Pego coming to steal the magnifying glass in the middle of the Microraptor-induced chaos was so perfect. All you needed was an Ichthyornis to somehow swoop in, a raptor to pounce and pin you, an anglerfish to breach and hit you before running off, a Yuty to come down to the mountains to fear roar, a Purlovia to jump out of nowhere to stun, an Onyc to come up from a cave to give you mega rabies, and a Noglin to cross time and space to possess you, then you'd have a perfect storm of ARK bullshit.
You forgot about the random battery heavy to finish you off

It seems like they made a rather helpful change to the microraptor. After the stun wore off from when you were stunned off of your sarco you got some kind of wooden shield icon buff that lasted for 30 seconds. My theory is that the buff stops you from being stunned again by any microraptors until it wears off (sorta like the freeze resistance buff you get once you have been frozen by something like a mana) since the second microraptor failed to stun you right up until it ran out (and its rather unlikely that it would have missed you over a dozen times while you stood still when it almost immediately stunned you the first time)
Can confirm that it was a stun block through my own testing. It also occurs if you get hit by a purlovia or baryonx as well, not sure but it might also trigger for the jellyfish stun as well
The first Pteranodon was like a harrowing look into a version of the game where the AI can actually pick and run from fights.
The reason you couldn't dismount during the microraptor attack was due to the "CC immunity" buff you get after being stunned. Dismounting counts as cc for some reason

Have you tried uploading the Sarco to an Obelisk to see if it fixes the glitch?
Sadly that's not going to work. The glitch is a de-sync between client and server. Client is saying the turn around attack was made but server for some reason isn't reading that and is trying to "fix" you into looking the right direction which is why the sarco is moving left/right like that. Dismounting will update the sarco to the correct direction.
This is part of the whole "Slow Frame Detected" problem (ARK's version of MC's TPS); either it's the server software's poor optimization, or hardware that can't keep up with game (not very likely reason but it is ARK/Wildcard so.)

The ones that give oil have a blue-blackish tint, dont remember the color of the metal ones

While wild babies make it more convenient for getting prime, I like it because it somewhat brings maps like The Island and the Center more inline with maps that have sheep everywhere (Aberration, Valguero, Rag, etc)
When you’re taming carnivores on those maps, what do you do? You chop up the nearest sheep and feed mutton! On the island, now we just go massacre the nearest family of trikes or turtles!

Back in the day I had a beautiful blue mutated raptor called "Blues". Until a Therezino got to it while i was harvesting some stone. I made a shrine for Blues and put a chest down and filled it with Therezino claws until the end of ASE. Therezino is the enemy. I stand with Syntac.

I understand the curse of the ARK Gods. I feel all of the pain with troodons, I've had troodons kill a quetzal when I had them landed on the ground while gathering resources.

Oh hey, Evo's (assuming it's him) built up in one of my favorite Island base locations. However, I personally like to build more up on the hill next to the hollowed out log.
It's a very central location and it's also surprisingly safe, nothing really goes up there to attack you due to the overall landscape (at least in SE, I don't know if SA has changed that).
Highly suggest watching Evo's content to find out (assuming syn won't mind an evil plug here), he's great and love how he builds. That location is not safe 😂
The guys are just great and if you watch all of them seeing them mess about with each other is hilarious

Downloaded this on my pc because i got influenced by Syntac, as soon as i tried loading in a world the game crashed and my fps was 15. I couldnt stop laughing.

hey syntac, you actually can track dinos that you are about to tame, without feeding them. you just need to go in too the tracking list tab and under "filtertype" you can choose "tame in progress" :)

Bears are amazing. They're one of the best tames. Great fighters once you up their HP. Also one of the fastest tames when on flat ground.

I tamed a pteranodon yesterday, and it did the same weird head thing when it first got up. I think that's the position their head is in when they're on the ground and it takes a moment for them to straighten it out when they get up. Kinda funny, though!

idk if you will see this syntac but there are a number of creatures messed up, one example is alpha raptors, because of their size increase and change to the ai. you can now walk behind an alpha raptor with a pike or a sword you can dispatch off of it without taking any major damage, although you might throw up irl because of the spinning but it is a fantastic of way of dealing with alpha raptors early on.

You can track knocked out creatures without feeding- top left of the tracker, go to Tames in progress, and click the little marker icon, not the whole thing itself, or it won't track

If you changed the game difficulty AFTER the initial map generation... you need to use the DestroyWildDinos commands, or kill any low level you see lol...
only new spawns will reflect the new difficulty setting.
He did a dinowipe with the command as he said. That's why he was so confused.
You need a mod to fix the levels. Its about the difficulty of the map itself it seems. Have messed with EVERY single setting and conmands on our server, nothing worked. Had to install a mod that adjust dino level spawning then dino wipe.
if you want the taming progress bar to show u can put food in and immediately take it out without starting the taming progress.
