    Hi - I have colorectal cancer stage 4 and I'm getting FOLFOX-4 treatment. My vein port worked fine the first rounds. But then I experienced pain when needle was reinserted. Most likely due to some side effects I have. The nurse recommended Emla or also called Tapin (in Norway). Is described to contain lidocaine and prilocaine (25mg / g + 25mg / g). Packages include ointment and cover patches. Put on the skin in the area you expect to get the needle at least one hour before. I didn't feel anything 👍. I was surprised that the needle was in place. But talk to your nurse or doctor first. Best wishes from Norway - Stay strong 💪🙂

      Kyrre Kvernmo keep strong. Not sure if avastin is available but I heard that is a good drug for your cancer along with ironetecan. Ask your oncologist and maybe some research into it to see if it can be helpful. Sending you positive vibes from the Caribbean

    Hey Shannon, good to see you again. Hope everything is fine. We had such a beautiful blue heaven today and with light green leaves it was so beautiful. Luckily it is cold, so I can study. Last years we had terrible heat waves... My dad is okay. They got everything out. But one day he was really depressive... Now he gets to get slowly back on track. He lost weight and muscle mass. You probably remember the recovery from the liver surgery. It is not easy. But he is at home now, no homesickness and my mom is around. So he will get proper food ;) I am hoping for the best. There are still some rocks on the road but I think we can see the happy end. Take care Miliko :*

    Good to see you again fellow warrior. I pray for you daily. Just asking but can you possibly get the Neulasta onpro? Its the on body injector then you won't have to go all the time for the shot. It's easy peasy with no pain and 45 minutes of total rest time when the beep goes off to inject. Glad to see you are well but sorry about all the pain. Blessings over you always.

    Why would addiction to pain meds matter? Also, how do they treat the tumor in your arm?

    • @shannonwarr3625
      @shannonwarr3625  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t think they worry so much about addiction since it is taken as directed for the appropriate level of pain. I have had radiation for my arm, but that tumor grows slower than the ones in my lungs so they concentrate more on those.

    Um may I ask how long do you have to take these pain medications are because I did take the lauded in all and I ended up addicted to them also um is this going to mean that you have a long life to live or is not guaranteed

      I take the extended release continuously. I have been given 2-4 years to live, but no one has a crystal ball.

    I really wish u can try taking some alternative treatments and eat strictly plant based. I know a lotta people tumours shrinked like crazy and some were cancer free even after stage 4. Stay blessed though!
