Awesome to hear! I can definitely see why it may be a tough upgrade for some, but the Fold 6 genuinely is better as a whole (which it should be haha)

Keep up the professional and awesome work! I also trust your judgment because you are a real heavy user of the Z Fold series for both personal and business needs.
Let me add by saying that what I respect in Samsung is that they have already brought (and will further bring) nearly all of these Galaxy AI features to older Fold series such as my Z Fold4. This way, we customers who have paid a premium price still feel like we are valued for our investment and loyalty.
Great video and comparison had the Fold 4 and upgraded to fold 6 wow what a difference, love the boxy frame and it is now close to perfect foldable in my eyes.... Lot more real estate ..

Yeah, I went ahead and upgraded from the 5 to the 6 myself. I've promised myself that's it for a bit though. I went from the 4 to the 5. No issues at all with the 5, but plenty with the 4. I'm crossing my fingers the 6 is just like the 5 as far as dependability. I am not remotely sorry I upgraded again though. Incredible device. Great video...again.
Great, fair review! I agree with all you've said. It's a great refinement over the 5 and not a complete change. While on paper the changes are minor, to me, experience-wise the 6 is much better. For those who haven't experienced a folding device or are upgrading from a 3 or 4 (or slab), this is a fantastic phone to have. I'd say even for those of us crazy enough to upgrade year over year, it's still worth the change. Like you, I personally prefer and love the boxy design. Was watching this on my 6, outdoors, and not once did the crease get in the way. On the 5 it would've been an issue. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Many thanks for the great review. I have hardly heard any positive reports about the Fold for the reason that too little development has taken place. But I just want to know if it is a good phone. You have helped me a lot and I will buy it now. Thank you and keep up the good work

Unfortunately... not on the 5 nor 6 😭
The 5 and 6 switched from a capacitive sensor to an ultrasonic sensor. This removed the ability to use gestures. I hate the ultrasonic sensor on my Fold 5 and dearly miss the sensor on my old Fold 4.

Thanks for another great video. I've watched a ton of videos comparing the 2 phones and by far yours is the best. Having them side by side really showed how much better the content looks on the outer screen. How are you liking the watch?
Hi Dave, I recently received the Fold 6 in the crafted blackm(512 gb) . I had the Fold 4 for a several months and it was nice but it froze a lot. I turned to the S23 Ultra and it great as well. I got it to schedule meetings, signed contracts, and for everyday use. Strangely enough, I haven't used the camera yet on the phone. There are so many other things I'm still experiencing. I love the sketch to image feature. I can't draw but my sketches have been ok that AI have been able to detect what they were lol. I've used it quite a bit. At first, I was going to return it but I've given a change and I like it. Can you do a review on the Flip 6? Great video.
I feel like you are answering the question of whether the fold6 is better than the fold5. That is a no-brainer. Now compare it to the competition
Mine is back in my tech drawer. Its a great device that i'll go back to once in a while to switch things up and i hope everyone that has one enjoys it but i kept comparing it to my Pixel Fold and my OnePlus Open more than going "this is the foldable for me." Which is the same problem i had with the fold 5.

Speaking of overheating issues... If i watch YT for even 10 minutes my fold 6 feels like its going to combust its so hot...same with charging it. Im lucky to get 4-5 hrs SOT with this happening. Ive had the 3 folds before this and never had an issue. Im sending it back unfortunately but do have a black one coming. Hope its an isolated issue.
That said coming from the fold 5 on paper this is barely an upgrade...in reality it really is. So much about the 6 is better.. front screen seems WAY bigger on it and agree about the cameras..the shots are better especially zoom shots
Version 19 of TH-cam has a ton of issues that result in excessive heat and battery drain. If you revert to Version 18 it fixes everything, except TH-cam will automatically update back to 19 eventually (even if you disable auto updates).
There are several threads about this if you search. I've submitted numerous feedback through the TH-cam app. Hopefully they revert to the version 18 codebase. Point being, it's not an issue with the Fold.
I loved the fold 6 as well, but i couldnt get past the camera.. i had to go back to the s24 ultra.
Try turning off your always on display if its not that important over battery. I got avg 7 hours now vs 6 hrs SOT.
It’d be nice if you made a social media camera test with these foldables to see if they’re as optimized as the S24 ultra

Coming from the fold 4, love the F6 except just coming from a concert and my friends' iPhone took much better videos than my f6. Much better and i tried all the settings lol

It doesn't surprise me either and the F6 does take really nice up close videos but was still shocking to see the zoom quality difference between two flagship devices.
Also did you see the new update for phone link? Now your phone is shown in the Explorer-like a drive o. The host computer.
Not a bad device but the battery 🪫 is not large enough… I have to bring my charger with me

Holding the Z Fold 6 to the Z Fold 5 definitely feels like a completely different phone in your hands. The screen colors on the Z fold 6 pop more, and the pictures look clearer. I received it today, so im waiting to see how the battery life goes.
I luv the folds!! But the camera for me is not good. I take pics of my kids all the time and the S24U give me blurry photos. That's why I'm thinking of switching to iPhone.

Depends on what camera he's using. Some manufacturers allow you to monitor and control your camera through their proprietary app.

Hi there! Currently. It is naked haha. But the official case from Samsung otherwise. Although it's a bit pricey, might find a 3rd party on Amazon!

Samsung really dropped the ball on upgrading the battery not even one bit... even if it was a 300 milliamp upgrade, I would have been happy. 😢
So you're one of those people who would never be happy. They increase it by 300ma, you'd want 500ma. They increase it byn500ma,you'd want 750ma. Get over it, if your battery is that bad, try getting off your phone.
@willbuschmann bro, they didn't upgrade the battery for 3 generations. That's pathetic. The flip 6 upgraded 300 ma and apparently it's making a huge difference. Do some simple research and you'd see how competition in the fold market is beating Samsung now 🤡

have this and the OnePlus Open. The Open is better in so many ways. But, I got this for future trade in value (OnePlus value isn't close) and for 3rd party accessory support. I'm missing the larger screens, the cameras, and the anti glare screen protector of the Open... But mostly, I'm missing the charging speed and battery size. In that specific order. The battery size and charging speed is pathetic and almost criminal. Samsung has been resting on their laurels for far too long. Basically every other manufacturer has passed them up in hardware and OnePlus has in terms of multitasking software. I think I'm going to keep this phone though, specifically for the $1000 2yrs from now trade in value.

As soon as you have kids you will buy a Pixel or iPhone. Samsung cant shoot unblurry pictures of fast moving objects like kids
Nah! buy a mirrorless real camera for the kids no phone camera can or ever will come close to a one inch sensor phones use pixel binning
Fold 5 here and not only do I have a dedicated DSLR for photos (which I honestly done use very often) I also grabbed an Osmo Pocket 3 which has been the BEST investment I could have made in capturing family moments!

Boring phone . Could have got 99 percent of the thing on any fold from 3 upwards. Got rid of my 5 and returned the 6 . Got the open and damn it's the best phone I ever bought .
Do you think this is really worth upgrading from a Fold4? I still feel like the hardware and software weren't a big enough change/revolutionary in order for upgrading. But maybe i expected too much? Im still pretty happy with my Fold 4 but i do notice how bulky it is with my dBrand case. The Samsung deals right now too! So torn... 🫠
From a 4? Absolutely. From a 5? Not even a little bit, especially if you got one of the matte Samsung website exclusive models of the 5.
