Big deal if you're comparing the fold 3 to the fold 6 so what, look how long it took to get there and they still won't put the spen in the damn phone. The Chinese phones are a lot bigger than the fold 6 and it only took two years to get there. At least they are listening to there customers Samsung could care less what we want it's take it or leave it we don't care.
That was an incredible comprehensive comparison from old to new. I myself have a Fold 4. I have just encountered for the second time, the screen protector lifting from the center of the phone. Outside of that, the phone has worked as it should. Well, I decided to trade in and get an ultra. To my surprise, I immediately was missing the capabilities of a fold phone. I contacted Samsung, and they allowed me to return the phone. I am now waiting for the 6 fold to arrive. One of the immediate disappointments was trying to unlock my phone with a screen protector. The sensor on the screen did not work nowhere near as well as the sensor on the side of the fold. I was also disappointed with there being one speaker facing your face versus both speakers exiting the side of the phone. Now, unless you're the poft marshmallow man. There should be no issue with allowing the side speakers to use your cupped hands as a form of redirecting sound, which ultimately helps with amplification of the sound waves. I also found it strange that the ultra 24 screen brightness just didn't seem to be as bright. Now, this, of course, is because if you're a user of a Fold device, you most often will use your device in an open position. The overall experience of searching through the internet and the format of which will be presented to you is far better than the format of any regular phone for that matter. Well, I hope my 2 cents help someone make a better decision. Well, there's one positive thing I did take away from experiencing the S24 Ultra, and that was how incredibly light the phone felt. The last time I had a phone in that form factor and size was a G NOTE, and when you had the G Note in your pocket, you were reminded it was there every step of the way.😂 We'll take care.I look forward to watching more of your content.

Squaring off the phone made a huge difference. Even though it is relatively the same size as previous generations the front screen now feels good enough to use as a standalone comfortably.
I just got the fold 6. It's my first fold. I got the 1tb version on Samsung with my employer discount. It cost me 880.00 it is crazy how fun it is to play with.
I upgraded from my Galaxy S22 Ultra. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my Z Fold 6 so far. I jus got it last month. Only thing I miss is the better, AMAZING camera on my 22 Ultra. I miss the HIGH detail & also the 100x zoom! (I zoomed in on & captured the fckn MOON before! Crazy distance! 😂)

The Z line has been overly critiqued, even leading up to the leaks, but we are glossing by those same issues that came with the other phones that were released after the Fold (I'm looking at you iPhone 16 and Google Pixel 9). I upgraded to the Fold 6 from the Fold 4. While factory resetting my Fold 4 to trade it in, the factory screen protector on the inner screen delaminated. 😅 Thankfully it still qualified for trade in. I am glad I skipped the Fold 5 and waited for the Fold 6.

This is by far the best comparison video for Z Fold Series. i've been watching lots of videos to consider if it's worth upgrading my Z Fold 3 to Z Fold 6, and this video really helps me making my decision to upgrade.
Coming from the Fold 3 this is a huge upgrade for me! I loved my 3, don't get me wrong, but there were a few things that bugged me all the time about it, that the fold 6 has addressed. I do wish they hadn't taken Live messages away. But , the Ai software more then makes up for it. Whether your an Ai fan or class it as gimmicky, I believe its here to stay and personally Love it! I use it on my PC for advertising and now I'm having too much fun with it on my fold 6. I found Noticeable differences in the Sound Quality and Brightness from the 3 to 6. I also love that its square, making the phone feel that it has a bigger outer screen. Great Video @Techisode TV ! Love your detailed, honest review!
@fatherdrip3220 My Fold 3 actually held up well. I still have it. Decided to keep it, for a back up. I did get a pretty good deal on my 6 when I got it through my carrier. The Fold 3 was a solid phone for its time. Like I said, alot of the things that were good, but not the best, are soo much better in the 6. Everyones going crazy about the Fold 6 SE, but I personally don't get all the hype. 1, its not available here in the US. 2, no S pen support & 3 imo thinner isnt always better. I like that this is thicker. Makes it feel & seem more durable.
I left from the fold 3 and the fold 6 is the best phone I've ever had. The bigger front screen is really gold and very much usable with ease than ever. Phone is really very snappy too. Screen is ever so sharper and brighter. Good job Samsung

More like the fold 2, It's basically the same exact thing as the fold 2 Just slightly changed with the same damn hardware. Samsung should be ashamed of themselves and I should be ashamed for buying both the five and the six. If the vivo or xiaomi was here in usa I would have bought them instead. One UI is just too good to lose though

I just upgraded to the fold 6 from an s21 ultra. While i do miss the amazing camera, i watch more shows and play more games than i take pictures. So the fold for the larger screen was a no-brainer to me. And i really love the split keyboard when the fold is open. Ive only had my fold for 2 days now and i absolutely love it. Im slowly getting the home screen on the inside the way i want. Eventually ill get the front screen layout done too. And the internet speed on the fold 6 is so much better than it was on my 21 ultra, especially where i work the building is concrete brick so i always had connection issues. I have noticed that i dont have any connection issues on my fold 6 at work.
Accidentally killed the Fold3 screen so I bought Fold6 few weeks ago. Can confirm everything said about Fold3 in this video. I enjoyed Fold3 a lot and didn't want to upgrade this year, but man, Fold6 does deliver huuge value comparing to the 3yo phone, especially about outer screen size, lightness, battery and the upgraded hinge design. Camera is faster, but I didn't notice any big quality upgrade as I liked the Fold3 colors reproduction a lot. The whole device seems much smoother and doesn't get as hot as the old one (can anything be hotter than SD888?).

My Fold 4 was replaced twice. On both occasions the device stopped fully opening after a long-haul flight from Delhi to London! But the 3rd device i received was spot on and nothing happened after long-haul flights. Also don't bother with those spine protectors, they make the opening and closing stiffer for a day or so if you're lucky until it starts to come off. £10 down the drain.
I've got the S22 Ultra, I still have 9 months on my contract so will most likely get the Z Fold 7 by then but I've been looking into the Z Fold lines since 5 so thank you for this video.
Great video, but are these phones still having issues with the screens cracking at the hinge point? It was a real problem with my F3 and Samsung refused to fix it after a year. They are a good idea but when folded the screen is to narrow to use daily, honestly the S24 ultra is the way to go IMO, thanks

The camera on the s24 ultra is the reason im not going to upgrade to the fold 6, i had the 4 and man soon as you want to take a pic you realize your camera sucks, so you go watch TH-cam with the screen open to feel good about yourself 😅
2 weeks ago (Oct 24) I bought a fold3 brand new for £529 uk. Up until now fold phones always interested me but i was too scared to drop £2k on a newish technology so I waited.....Now I cannot imagine going back to a slab phone. My only regret is not getting a foldable earlier. I'll keep my fold3 until it dies and then I'll get whichever iteration is current. To end my comment I will say that the fold3 performance in October 24 is still excellent and I would say to anyone considering getting one just go for it. You won't regret it.
I've been using the fold 3 as a main device since launch and i gotta admit, i didn't expect it to last this long.. Oftentimes in a rush i kinda slam it shut, it has been dropped twice from waist height without a case and 4-5 times with a bulky case and its still in like-new physical condition.. I came from an iphone and those things break very easily in comparison to a samsung fold.
That's the Flex window icon, which gets some improvements that add to the value, but I break down which phone is best in each category and whether or not it's worth the upgrade depending on your specific needs. So for some people, it's a massive upgrade, but for others, I wouldn't recommend it. Unfortunately, the video can't be summed up in a sentence. :)
Awesome video, great comparison. Using the S-Pen for taking lengthy notes on the Fold 5 is really annoying due to the crease. Yes, you can apply more pressure, or else strokes are missed. In landscape mode, you can do that, but the problem is you can't use multi-window, one for note-taking and the other for reading from textbooks or PDFs. Hopefully, this crease issue is fixed in the Fold 7. For this, apps like Noteshelf 3, Metamoji Notes, Inkredible, etc., are useful with auto-scrolling zoom in the writing window. The cover screen is not good for those with big fingers. Typing on the cover screen is hard, although you can do swiping on Gboard or gesture keyboards like Minuum are useful. Hopefully, Samsung will make a bigger cover screen, somewhat similar to the Huawei Fold in the Fold 7. And the biggest problem is the S-Pen doesn't work on the cover screen. I used to take quick memos on my Note 3, Note 5, Note 9, etc., but now I miss this feature. You have to unfold it every time you need to take a memo. And taking the S-Pen out of the case is annoying. Overall, it's a great device. I hope there won't be any green line issues or screen flickering issues in the future. I had these issues on my Note 9 and Tab S4.
I just upgraded today from the S23 Ultra. The fold 6 have great speakers compared to my S23 Ultra but on Camera and Battery and charging speed falls behind 🥲. But is cool the experience on the Fold 6
I was hoping to upgrade to the Fold 6 this year. I've got a Fold 4 and was eager to see the exact design we got, but with an integrated s pen. I feel it's not different enough for me to spend that much money, so I'm seriously considering the Magic V3. At least it's bigger (main and inner screen), thinner, lighter, bigger battery and you can use the pen on both screens!
iPhone was using the CPU for the render, while the other phone were using the GPU hardware codec. Not a real comparison. You need to disable hw acceleration when encoding videos.
What we really want to know is do i keep the inner screen protector or will it eventually mess up and cause the black line of death down the crease????????

The big problem the inner screens still separate. I loved my fold 5 , but the screen separate on 2 of them. When reading on it. It happens allot.
I upgraded from the 3 and it is a huge difference. Especially if you get the case that has the hand strap, it's a game changer

Performance-wise, the Fold 3 is still quite speedy for daily use, but the Fold 6 is just perfect. I'm really pleased with the upgrade.

And the internet speed on the fold 6 is so much better than it was on my 21 ultra, especially where i work the building is concrete brick so i always had connection issues. I have noticed that i dont have any connection issues on my fold 6 at work.
Accidentally killed the Fold3 screen so I bought Fold6 few weeks ago. Can confirm everything said about Fold3 in this video. I enjoyed Fold3 a lot and didn't want to upgrade this year, but man, Fold6 does deliver huuge value comparing to the 3yo phone, especially about outer screen size, lightness, battery and the upgraded hinge design. Camera is faster, but I didn't notice any big quality upgrade as I liked the Fold3 colors reproduction a lot. The whole device seems much smoother and doesn't get as hot as the old one (can anything be hotter than SD888?).

Im still using my fold 1 from 2018.....love how small it is.
My Fold 4 was replaced twice. On both occasions the device stopped fully opening after a long-haul flight from Delhi to London! But the 3rd device i received was spot on and nothing happened after long-haul flights. Also don't bother with those spine protectors, they make the opening and closing stiffer for a day or so if you're lucky until it starts to come off. £10 down the drain.
I've got the S22 Ultra, I still have 9 months on my contract so will most likely get the Z Fold 7 by then but I've been looking into the Z Fold lines since 5 so thank you for this video.

Great video, but are these phones still having issues with the screens cracking at the hinge point? It was a real problem with my F3 and Samsung refused to fix it after a year. They are a good idea but when folded the screen is to narrow to use daily, honestly the S24 ultra is the way to go IMO, thanks

The camera on the s24 ultra is the reason im not going to upgrade to the fold 6, i had the 4 and man soon as you want to take a pic you realize your camera sucks, so you go watch TH-cam with the screen open to feel good about yourself 😅

2 weeks ago (Oct 24) I bought a fold3 brand new for £529 uk. Up until now fold phones always interested me but i was too scared to drop £2k on a newish technology so I waited.....Now I cannot imagine going back to a slab phone. My only regret is not getting a foldable earlier. I'll keep my fold3 until it dies and then I'll get whichever iteration is current. To end my comment I will say that the fold3 performance in October 24 is still excellent and I would say to anyone considering getting one just go for it. You won't regret it.

Does the sharp corners get uncomfortable after long periods holding it
I've been using the fold 3 as a main device since launch and i gotta admit, i didn't expect it to last this long.. Oftentimes in a rush i kinda slam it shut, it has been dropped twice from waist height without a case and 4-5 times with a bulky case and its still in like-new physical condition.. I came from an iphone and those things break very easily in comparison to a samsung fold.

That's the Flex window icon, which gets some improvements that add to the value, but I break down which phone is best in each category and whether or not it's worth the upgrade depending on your specific needs. So for some people, it's a massive upgrade, but for others, I wouldn't recommend it.

Awesome video, great comparison. Using the S-Pen for taking lengthy notes on the Fold 5 is really annoying due to the crease. Yes, you can apply more pressure, or else strokes are missed. In landscape mode, you can do that, but the problem is you can't use multi-window, one for note-taking and the other for reading from textbooks or PDFs. Hopefully, this crease issue is fixed in the Fold 7. For this, apps like Noteshelf 3, Metamoji Notes, Inkredible, etc., are useful with auto-scrolling zoom in the writing window. The cover screen is not good for those with big fingers. Typing on the cover screen is hard, although you can do swiping on Gboard or gesture keyboards like Minuum are useful. Hopefully, Samsung will make a bigger cover screen, somewhat similar to the Huawei Fold in the Fold 7. And the biggest problem is the S-Pen doesn't work on the cover screen. I used to take quick memos on my Note 3, Note 5, Note 9, etc., but now I miss this feature. You have to unfold it every time you need to take a memo. And taking the S-Pen out of the case is annoying. Overall, it's a great device. I hope there won't be any green line issues or screen flickering issues in the future. I had these issues on my Note 9 and Tab S4.

Fold 6 sounds the best.
I just upgraded today from the S23 Ultra. The fold 6 have great speakers compared to my S23 Ultra but on Camera and Battery and charging speed falls behind 🥲. But is cool the experience on the Fold 6

Although it looks much nicer, agreed, having the square corners heightens the chance of screen breakage, if dropped.
I was hoping to upgrade to the Fold 6 this year. I've got a Fold 4 and was eager to see the exact design we got, but with an integrated s pen. I feel it's not different enough for me to spend that much money, so I'm seriously considering the Magic V3. At least it's bigger (main and inner screen), thinner, lighter, bigger battery and you can use the pen on both screens!

iPhone was using the CPU for the render, while the other phone were using the GPU hardware codec. Not a real comparison. You need to disable hw acceleration when encoding videos.
