  • Jill Ciminillo drives the 2022 Infiniti QX60 and shares her list of 5 things she likes, and 5 things she doesn't like. Tim drove this SUV late last year and loved it, but Jill found it more to be a mixed bag; much improved from the previous version, but still in need of additional work.

I've owned my QX60 for a week now and have absolutely zero issues with power. I actually find myself speeding most of the times and have to switch to ECO mode as to not speed. I am also just coming from a Lexus LC 500 which has a naturally aspirated 471hp V8 engine in it that pushes a respectable 0-60mph of around 4.7 seconds. I don't know whether it's because the shoes she is wearing or her particular vehicle or not.

We bought this car! Thanks for information! We have none of the issues you mentioned, which is curious? In Atl especially, the highways are treacherous. This car handles beautifully. The headrests in the back are maneuverable and removable. The buttons work well. We love this car❤

your issue with the power when you floored the gas pedal was because you weren’t flooring it all the way… so when you floor, there are actually 2 levels. kinda like an OD button under the gas pedal, so when you floor it, you can actually push down again and you’ll feel a click (2)you didn’t recline the 3rd row seat, you have it on the upright most position. it actually recliners some 14 degrees.. makes a HUGE difference (3) I’m with you on issue #3 (4)?? not sure it’s an issue with buttons, you’d still have to look. (5)😂😂 i can’t help you.
-PS, you guy do amazing videos. if you can let me know if the remedies i pointed out helps, it’ll be awesome. thanks

@@jillciminillo I cant say if this is exactly the issue, but most new vehicles have a driving mode. Normally ECO mode drives this way and you would need to change it to a sport mode. Here is how to adjust the drive mode. th-cam.com/video/-_wykPWOtYo/w-d-xo.html

Jill, I really appreciate your perspectives. My wife is also petite at 5’, but wow, those seats look like they are going to swallow you whole.
The biggest issue we have when looking at an upscale replacement for our ‘13 Highlander is seat comfort, and not just the driver’s seat. We’re only interested in contenders with a strong v6, hence pushing us into the premium models, but even so, seat comfort has varied significantly between brands/models.

I also owned the Qx60 for 3 months now and also have absolutely no issues with the power. I also find my speeding most of the time. I find this review makes no sense and this woman is trying to outdo her colleague with the review and have the last word. She is trying to find faults about this wonderful suv. This is the reason I’m no longer subscribed to this channel.

Mine started losing the black plastic trail pieces around drivers door. Started in front of mirror on highway. Week later the large piece behind driver window flew off. Look like black double stick tape peels away, then plastic clips snap. Still waiting for service to tell me if it’s a warranty issue? I would assume so? Just go check yours before they come off.

I’m 5’1”. This was an EXCELLENT video for me specifically since I had no idea how bad of a driving position and nightmare this car would be for me!! And it’s gonna be MY car, not my husband’s. Guess I gotta cross this one off. Also, the headrest on the 3rd row is HORRENDOUS. When my in laws come I would be the one in the back and I would be in such a bad mood sitting in an uncomfortable position. THANK YOU SO MUCH for giving an honest review!! I also saw a consumer complaint about the lagging when passing and I thought well maybe that was a fluke. Good to know it’s actually not a fluke before dropping all that money!!

I compared, and test drove the QX60, the Acrua MDX and the Lexus RX. After carful consideration, we decided to go with and purchase the QX60. All three of the cars were great, but the QX60 was better in most categories--it's bigger, more luxurious, quieter, and has a much better infotainment system (the MDX trackpad is awful). Plus, the QX60 is a better looking too (subjective).. We don't understand what you mean by the lack of power (it's got 300hp)? The headrests adjust. The smooth flat controls with haptic feedback are great. We didn't experience any of the issues you mentioned. It seems our were reaching and looking to find things wrong with the vehicle to support a Acura/Lexus/German bias?

I’m 5’1 and currently drive a Chevy Tahoe. I don’t need all the space the Tahoe provides , so I’ve been looking at a crossover option and the QX60 is such a beautiful car. I’m super disappointed to see how uncomfortable your driving position is. I’m spoiled in my Tahoe having adjustable pedals. I LOVE that feature. I’m not sitting right on top of the steering wheel. I wish more car manufacturers incorporated adjustable foot pedals. It makes such a difference. Where’s the suggestion box for adjustable pedals to infinit?

Jill, just wondering on the petite size person does the steering wheel move in and out like in the palisade?? That could help getting you farther from the wheel…Also does it have a CVT or a real transmission?? Would not consider any vehicle especially of that size with a CVT.

You passed on a good deal based on one stranger's opinion on a vehicle she doesn't even own, and probably drove for a weekend or two? The only thing I might have agreed with was the 3rd row headrest, but even then, there is a workaround if you recline the seats. They can recline quite a bit it, it's not rocket science. At the end of the day, take it out for a test drive and see for yourself. Try not to listen to someone on TH-cam whose only qualifying traits is their height lol.

This is the first time I've watched a video by Jill. I'm impressed with her evaluation of this car. Why? I'm in agreement with what she said. It's not that the car is bad - it isn't. It's just not special, like a luxury vehicle should be.
As a previous owner of an Infiniti, I know there are things that I both like and dislike about their vehicles. I know this will get some people upset, but I find that their cars are simply not as good as Lexus or Acura; the companies I consider to be their main competitors. I've owned many Lexus cars and I feel they're the best Japanese Luxury brand. Notice that I wrote brand - here's what I mean. If you combine all the aspects of a vehicle company, Lexus beats both Acura and Infiniti. Longevity, reliability, cost of ownership, depreciation, comfort, quietness, power, elegance, handling, build quality, ergonomics, etc. All the things that I think of when buying a vehicle. The Infiniti I owned came between two Lexus cars. I'll admit that I made a mistake buying the Infiniti, because I liked the uniqueness, features and power of the car. In exchange for those things, I gave up a lot (most of the things on my list above).
If you want an honest opinion of the car, I feel that Jill did a great job. I am definitely going to listen to other reviews of hers.

The issue regarding touch controls and piano black is a common issue across all manufacturers and not just Nissan. I am not sure why this trend doesn’t go away as it is no safe while driving, if you think Infiniti is bad you should try Audi, Cherokee and few others, at least Infiniti gives you AC and radio knob and also haptic feedback. I think hands down the best user interface belongs to Mercedes GLE.

  • @yankobakalov

I disagree with two things. Firstly the sensitivity of the dashboard is better than the more sensitive touchpad of the Lexus - try to choose something if the road is a bit bumpy. About the power - yes it's not the most powerful car, but here we have an adaptive gas pedal. That is, if you drive leisurely for a long time, the car will behave like that, and if you need to accelerate quickly, you must switch to sports mode. But if you drive aggressively, the car starts to behave like that and you don't need sports mode. About the driver's seating position is a long topic and my wife sits like that and I always wonder how she sees the dashboard.
