Oh my. You are #1 on my list for a "video pick me up"! I love that you keep the bloopers in, because most of us have those. Tammy, I would love to see a blooper collage video from you!! Cheers 👍💕🤗
Yay! Thank you Cheryl! That is sweet of you! - I thought about adding some bloopers in at the end of all my videos (I've seen some do that and I always get a chuckle out of them). It's just another hour of editing that I don't always have - but sometimes I do - so maybe I can start small haha
I suppose you could. I do make a large batch sometimes and hold it to scent later. But a lot of these recipes don't actually make a paste, especially the 30 min ones. of course if you are like me and you make some mistakes along the way you might end up with a paste! 😂
Thank you! I got them from SKS. - www.sks-bottle.com/340c/fin14r.html they are still out of stock though - I haven't looked in a year or more but I think they have been out of stock for quite a long time. I had to go to something else 🙄
YAY! It can be overwhelming so just take it slow! That technical chemistry stuff is totally over my head - but after reading it 4 or 5 times I think I understand some of it haha
I'm going to have to watch again. I have the books but I haven't attempted the liquid soap yet! You make it look easy! And your soaps and labels came out beautiful.
Thanks Melissa! I hope you do give it a try! The thing I had to learn is they are almost always fixable. I threw out several batches of liquid soap before I got this book because they didn't act or look like I thought they should. - I don't stress over that anymore, as long as my lye and oils are correct it will turn to soap on it's own. That knowledge really gave me confidence in making them. Good Luck!! 💖
I would add Crothix. It is sometimes hard to find but it is my favorite thickener. Some people have luck with salt water solution but I can never get the salt to dissolve and just never had luck with it.
Very cool video! I have a question, how does this part of selling handmade products work? Do I need any permits, licenses or inspections? Where can I start looking into this? Thank you!
Thanks!! It really is state dependent on what kind of license or whatnot you need. You should have insurance, and then a tax id. I just googled everything LOL - I do have a video on this topic but have since learned the company that sponsored it isn't what I thought it was so I would not recommend going through them, but the rest of the info may help you - th-cam.com/video/LdEKJ1NO2G4/w-d-xo.html
I so need to request a printable copy. I hate reading it on the computer. Rather have the paper. Old school is me. Haha. This one turned out so good. Huge fan of vanilla and cinnamon. Great scent for fall. Great job Tammy! Boo boos and all. Your so refreshing with all the things. 💕
Thanks Lori - YES to the printable copy! I'm a bit old school like that too (it is a ton of pages - but I can't help it, I just like it better in my binder) Thanks so much for watching and you sweet words! 💖💖💖
Actually you don't, either would be fine - I just like to do the zap too - I think it must just be a habit or maybe just an extra insurance that the soap is done LOL
This video was just recommended to me. Glad it was! I noticed that the expiration date for the discount code was June 2023. Any chance you will be getting another discount code? I would love to try this recipe! Thx
Hi Cindy, I don't believe they will extend it or give me another one. Sorry - but good luck if you decide to go for it anyway! (or try it and see - maybe they didn't add the end date LOL)
Hi Tammy! I have purchased the book read it and made 2 batches. Both over time separated. I was wondering if you have ever needed an emulsifier? Do you superfat any? Im going to try again. Its so dang frustrating
dang Laura...I have never had a liquid soap separate on me. You should not need an emulsifier. I superfat at maybe 1% at most. Which recipe are you using? Maybe I can help to figure it out.
@Walnut Creek Bath Boutique it was the lots o bubbles one. I need to double-check my superfat. I know i was supposed to lower it. That's why I was wondering what you SF at for liquid. No one I ask has had any issues. So maybe i did something wrong . . . Twice, lol. It came together perfectly, though. I was just talking to someone on tiktok, who just got the book and made a batch and she also said her batch with FO separated. So now im thinking maybe the sf combined with the FO was just too much. They also didnt separate until the temperature in the house got warmer.
@@laurathompson3040 you know after I read your reply I dawned on me I did have a LS separate on me once! It was a vanilla scent, and it was probably after sitting for at least 2 months. I don't remember the temp or anything. But it does sound like your SF in combo with a misbehaving fo might be the problem. Let me know how it goes if you give it another go!
oh man, that stinks! I'm sorry to hear that! I wonder why that is happening to you. I have had fragrance oils break my liquid soaps before. Honestly I have pretty much stopped selling liquid soaps. I don't understand it but they just don't sell well for me. I only sell in bulk now (40 oz min purchase). This decision was hard for me but I feel it will be for the best. Are they good sellers for you?
What is more important? Trace or emulsion? Isn't it possible to reach a trace without proper emulsion? And isn't it possible to reach emulsion without a trace?
I love your honesty. You crack me up when you make a mistake. That’s very encouraging for me because I make a lot of mistakes 🤦♀️
LOL - I'm just glad I'm not alone in the mistakes department haha💖💖

I love this so much I ordered the book.... Thank you for sharing.
You are so welcome! Good Luck! There is A LOT of info in there LOL
Hello
Thanks for sharing, I love it
I wonder if I can keep it as paste & dilute it later?
I suppose you could. I do make a large batch sometimes and hold it to scent later. But a lot of these recipes don't actually make a paste, especially the 30 min ones. of course if you are like me and you make some mistakes along the way you might end up with a paste! 😂
Where did you get the rectangular bottles? They are SO nice!
Thank you! I got them from SKS. - www.sks-bottle.com/340c/fin14r.html
they are still out of stock though - I haven't looked in a year or more but I think they have been out of stock for quite a long time. I had to go to something else 🙄
I'm loving it!
Thank you for this. I will try it out. Got the Ebook last week and took advantage of the discount code you provided

Looks wonderful! I'll have to give this a go some day!
Thanks Mandy!! 💖

What do you add to make liquid soap thicker
I would add Crothix. It is sometimes hard to find but it is my favorite thickener. Some people have luck with salt water solution but I can never get the salt to dissolve and just never had luck with it.
Does the ebook ever go on sale? I've seen some beautiful soaps using the recipes.
I don't know if they ever go on sale, sorry - I do know the discount code in the description is good until June I think.
What type of stove are you using to cook the soap?
hello! Sorry I am just getting back to you - I'm using this one from Amazon amzn.to/3Dq2j8E
What oils were used in this recipe? I might’ve missed it but I didn’t hear them listed
My Braun stick blender is AMAZING!!!
I think I looked at Braun - I ended up with a Vitamix and so far am in love with it! 💖

WHATTTTTT you can make it liquid😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲.
🤗
Why do you need to do the zap test after a pH test?
Actually you don't, either would be fine - I just like to do the zap too - I think it must just be a habit or maybe just an extra insurance that the soap is done LOL
What blender was that?
It was the All Clad - an expensive disappointment 😫
Hi may I ask, will it be difference consistency if I use single pomace 00, rather than single evoo? TIA
Please i also need your e book some

May i know for this recipe sis
Please after the salt what is the next ingredient you pour it in.
Salt and sugar were added together and the. I added some liquid soap I had made earlier in the year. This just helps it trace faster
I make it at last 😍

@Walnut Creek Bath Boutique I will thank you Tammy ❤️
It looks like liquid gold and you have a fantastic nose for fragrances so I'm sure it smells divine. Lovely addition to your shop.
why thank you CL!💖
After 3 almost 4 years mines are starting to break. I’m so sad

OMG! I thought I was the only one that didn't like the very vanilla from Candle Science. 😅
ugh! Right?!?! Can't Stand It!!! 😂
I bet you were glad it wasn't a double to triple batch.
haha - yep! so glad 😂
That very vanilla from cs is awful I agree
ugh - YES! THE Worst LOL
Honestly saying I didn't understand anything...
