I've never had problems using the cheap $20 wireless earbuds I bought off amazon 3 years ago. I can't fathom how people justify spending hundreds of dollars for something slightly better.

Dude, I've tried Raycon earbuds which broke after 2 months, then tried Senheisser earbuds cuz I had some extra money, which also broke in 2 months. They were like $200 btw. Now I have these $36 earbuds that I honestly like more and they have lasted longer. Somehow they charge way faster than those 2, last way longer in battery life, sound pretty much the same, and they even have a little display on the charging case to show you what % charge the case is and if the earbuds are in, how charged up they are. TOZO Tonal Dots are great for being so cheap and honestly as good as these hundred-dollar earbuds. Raycon say they are 'half the price' but that's only because the other 'expensive' brands are like $200+, so Raycon could still be $100 and not be lying. Ngl the Senheisser earbuds were the worst of the 3 while being the most expensive. They lasted for the shortest time and when they broke they had this ear-piercing noise making it pretty much impossible to use them again.
By the way all of the headphones that go directly into your ear are really bad for your ears. Headphones that go over your Ears are way healthier.
They are good, but sometimes they can be kinda crap. I've had one pair that wouldn't work without both earbuds out of the case, so you couldn't listen with only one. I've also had one that would lose sync with itself, so one earbud would play a second or half second after the sound played in the other ear.
I just bought the newest raycon ones that are supposed to be really durable. Not because I wanted to be like, a status symbol, but because I need an earbud which won't break when I fall asleep wearing them and eventually roll on top of them. Which is why my earbuds usually end up breaking
I beg to differ. Hi-Fi headphones (not to confuse the ones using shady marketing to appear good quality) are genuinely better than wireless or cheap wired headphones in terms of sound quality. But to most people it doesn't matter, they use what is cheap or accepted the most in society.
Good sound can come cheap, the IEM market is a great example of this.
I have one over-ear headset for gaming and one pair of Bluetooth Aftershokz and have never so much as touched airpods. Always thought we they were stupid

I work the tech department in target, & I can say that an overwhelming majority of sales come from just airpods. I have even had a significant amount of people return to buy a replacement pair about every 12weeks.
I use Dacom Bluetooth headphones. They're pretty cheap, have a battery that lasts a whole day, and I can wear them while I'm in the shower. Oh, and they're also pretty hard to lose cause they're connected together by a short wire. I've been using them for about a year and a half now, I think. Maybe a bit less, and so far haven't noticed any problems.
Apple customer are the dumpest people ever and those anti loss thing were fun to sell. 😂

I always get a kick seeing everyone using airpods in public...knowing full well they've all been ripped off.
While i find BT earpeace usefull, with no cables and i can hide them in my Work earmuffs to listen music, i still have 3 different kind ones, with 1 lost on all of them. Decided not to buy expensive ones after i lost my Beats Pro earplug. Just buy cheap ones instead for 20€
I have a decent headset for gaming and the Sony MX3000s or whatever for listening on my phone.
It's still not $500 combined. Jesus.
I just use 20$ j-lab wireless headphones, cheap, 3 sound settings, lasts a long time.
Don't need like 100$ ones, but also SOMETIMES like near streetlights it loses some connection, but its a minor annoyance.

They weren't airpods, because fuck that. But I did accidentally flush one of my earphones after I got done pissing and reaching over to flush. They were just as expensive and I was furious. So now I only buy the ones that wrap around your ears.

Apple has the inability to make earbuds and pods the size and shape of the normal human ear. Haven’t used Apple earbuds/pods since the Shuffle (the long stick one) because they hurt my ears if they’re in my ears for more than 10 minutes.
The only Air Pods I have are ones that I found on the ground in the case, and the previous owners didn’t set up the FindMy thing so I literally cannot give them back, and they’ve been sitting on my desk, out of battery, for a solid 3 months now.
Honestly I have always stuck to jabra earbuds when it comes to wireless, are they the cheapest.. no, the best sounding, probably not. But unlike apple and many other brands they sell replacement cases and singular ear buds and their support has always been great unlike a certain fruit company which is known for making as difficult to repair or replace parts as possible.
I have a pair of 65t jabras from 2018 that still work flawlessly to this day despite going through the washing machine more than once.
Smart watches are such a scam...
Make one that isn't just a midi controller for your phone... And I might consider it.

I never wear air pod shape headphones. Shit hurts and bruises my ears too much.
Few things: I don’t care about regular AirPods or AirPods Max (this one is stupid, imo).
But I have not seen any other wireless headphone connect as seemingly to a phone than my AirPods (or the Pro in my case). Mind you, I have had androids for years until last year. I have tried every single Samsung galaxy sinxe S9+, I have had Lg g5/6, the MacLaren one plus, and one of the Huawei and Xaiomi phones. I have also tried multiple wireless/bluetooth earbuds from Sony, LG5, Bose, Sennheiser and Samsung. Nothing beats how seamless the connection is between the AirPods Pro and any of my apple devices (never tried it on my watch). Unless they can release something as good as that, I’ll be stuck with my AirPods.
I loved the Sony XM4s and XM5s (both headphone and earbuds) and would have loved to keep using it if not for some specific problem: I can’t use it as smoothly as I can with my AirPods. They do have the best ANc and sound (when you get the equalizer set up properly)
Although, I’ll probably be back to an Android fold next year so it’ll be the Sony ones again

To be fair, it looked to me like it was a hard battle before other brands could beat the sound quality versus the Airpods/Pro. Now, they've pretty much caught up and even overtook Apple on that end. There's probably never going to be anything actually "revolutionary" with regards to the "TWS" tech though until we reach a breakthrough with minuscule size battery technology. At the end of the day, it's electricity that's driving these mini in-ear speakers.
Yeah but Apple doesn't have to compete because they can make it so that only their headphones work on Apple products, and all other simply wouldn't connect. Sure, most people would be upset but Apple customers will fold easily.

Wire phones are better for watching videos, playing games and the like because latency. Plus you can walk, run, ride bike etc with no worries of losing them.
But I did get earbuds (not airpods) for when going to the gym, since I always end up getting myself tangled on the wire.
I wanted a smartwatch just to be able to make my own watchfaces. Then I got the maimo r and I can't use the programs to make custom ones...
I had a HTC phone for about 10 years and it finally broke, and now i've discovered that modern phones don't have Audiojacks for Headphones anymore, in an attempt to scam people for converters.
I thought i was safe buying a samsung, but have recently stumbled across the fact that samsung nowadays doesn't make Sturdy phones, they make Discount Iphones that don't break as quickly. but still in under a year.

I was thinking of switching phones recently and I found phone sites. You can search and some phones are still made with headphone jacks. I was seriously considering the zenphone but switching is hard for me.

If you break a Samsung and it ain't a fold or flip, you did that, most likely on purpose. Even my fold, that I've dropped multiple times on concrete, is perfectly fine.

Look, I both love and hate my IPhone. It’s made in China and it’s made out of something weak like paper mache or Raditz. Then I have to spend a ridiculous amount to replace it or worse upgrade to the newest model when it breaks. The reason I like it is because it is easy to use. Because of planned obsolescence is why I typically avoid the new phones, hell Moist Critical has a video on the newest IPhone’s durability where the guy testing it was able to crack and crush the shell casing with his bare hands.
