MY SHELL COLLECTION: A quick look at shells I have collected throughout recent years!

- This week's video is a little different than usual! SO MANY of you all have asked about my shells(where do I store, how many do I have etc.) So, come along with me and I'll take you for a little tour through my collection, and all of the great treasures I have collected throughout recent years.
I plan to do a much more thorough look at shells I have from specific areas in the future, but since so many of you have asked about my shells, I thought I'd share!

I also have a large sea shell collection. I use two antique cabinet buffet and dresser. I also have put my shells in large antique jars. They're all over my house. You have a lot of beautiful shells. Thank you for showing them.
If I had the chance to build a display for all your shells, I could probably spend hours doing it and never get bored!
Having just built a display shelf and subsequently reorganizing my shell collection (1/10th what you have) I’d die happy exploring yours while doing the same! Wow! Just WOW!

That is a really nice collection you have there! I'm actually starting to get some of my finds organized and displayed but more to go. The problem is space. LOL!!! I've really been enjoying your videos the past few weeks and love getting to see some places I may never get to. Perhaps others have mentioned this, but maybe you could get some more shells displayed/organized by utilizing some of those window plant shelves? If they can hold heavy-ish pots full of wet dirt, they could probably hold some of your larger shells and definitely support some smaller shells easily. Or maybe they could even hold some containers of smaller shells. It wouldn’t help with all that you have, but you and any guests would be able to enjoy seeing them. Just a thought

I’ve heard apartments are pretty small in NY. How are you so blessed to be able to travel to these beautiful places. When my daughter went to Puerto Rico she didn’t find any shells but she brought me some me sand.
Hi friend - I actually just recently moved out of NYC, and back to New England(where I'm originally from). Once I get settled I'll be thinking of some better ways to store my shells!
As for traveling, I have been fortunate to have a job that has pretty flexible time off - I just have to plan the trips well in advance. Most of the more exotic spots I have been to were only 2-3 day visits and I just cram in tons of shelling! I film everything and then sort through and organise my content when I return home. A lot of what you see when I upload was filmed over the past year, sometimes 2 years.
Sharing these adventures and experiences with everyone is why I created this channel. If someone isn't able to make it to the beach, hopefully they can find enjoyment and peace through my content.

Please show us a video of these shells displayed ! They are so beautiful its sad to see them in baggies etc. If you could even find several glass containers for the best of them it would be fantastic. Also maybe we could see your shells that you have at your parents house sometime!
I definitely have a plan to show more of the shells specific to regions, just thinking through some interesting concepts...stay tuned!

Very cool! I was wondering two things. First, where in South East Florida did you find the ones in the blue cooler and where's your favorite spot in south eastern Florida to go shelling? Secondly, where were you at in that beautiful shot of you looking over at that view and that awesome blur water at the end of the video?? Absolutely gorgeous 😍 ❤️
I have actually shelled in quite a few spots in south and south east Florida - the Jupiter area, Delray, Virginia Key and Key Biscayne to name a few. Though I will admit, I am much more familiar with Florida's west coast 😀
The shot at the end with the blue water is Turks and Caicos, specifically the island of Middle Caicos.

Oh thankyou for shareing❣ it must bite not to have enough room to display them all. There was a guy i found that has an oustanding collection n he actually had some big ones hanging from his ceiling. Now how he did that i do not know. He also used these one pronged n up 4 pronged plastic stand that varied in hieght. Well, i guess you probably are already versed well in how to display but i thought i would share these ideas. I really like the shelving you have, not so deep that it takes up floor space. Ever think about a shadow box with many little cubicles for the tiny's? Or a picture frame? Oooo, black background 👀. Sorry, my mind is on overload, 🤦♀️. Thankyou again, 'hugs' ❣
Interesting concepts! The black shell display case is actually a repurposed essential oil bottle shelving unit - I collect those too, haha!

🐞Are those two large lighting whelks considered albino? Thanks.🐞
These would not be considered albino, IMO. Albino is defined as a total lack of pigment. I have found that as Lightning Whelks age(and the larger they get), the more faded their color becomes. These guys are just old, large and beautiful!

Wow! How do you get them all home{? On the plane?
Hello! I have never had any issues at the airport with some shells stored safely in my suitcase. With that said, I can only speak to my experience - if you are traveling to another country and plan to bring back shells in your suitcase, I would research the local laws of the country regarding collecting.

I am planning on moving out of NYC soon. When I do, of course all of my shells will come! Once I get settled, I will think of some cool ideas!

Hello! I am not sure I have a favorite spot per se, but I would say I'm pretty partial to a shelling experience in my home state of Maine - there's really nothing else like it IMO. I also have had amazing experiences camping, and shelling on Cayo Costa in Florida!
