The grabber paint job looks better on the focus than it was on the mustang. How did you get your intake snorkel so far down in the grille? Mine sits near top just under hood :/. I am puzzled. Are there different length snorkels?
Most mechanics say trans fluid change in these manuals is not necessary until u need your clutch replaced is this true ??
They’re way to featherweight in terms of the clutch and the gearbox, it freaks me out because I I slowly let up the clutch and add a bit of gas bitch is already rolling from the clutch alone (hill&roll assist)
those wheels look perfect on the st👍 great choice
Awesome video man! Definitely helped
Very helpful since I just bought one
Any suggestion about getting a Branded Focus ST? Should I just look at why specifically it was branded?
Hannah Hawk what’s branded mean?
Great video dude!
ST2 has projector headlights too. Only the ST1 has reflectors.
Depending on the year..
Waiting to hear if my Mini is totalled or not, if it is I may get the ST, but which year is the best and which year should I stay clear of
Get anything 2014 or newer! The newer the better
@@tomasmartinez3936: Luckily she wasn't totaled, but man, $6,600 in damage for hitting a dog
Rewatching this makes me happy to have an ST of my own! My build is all done and on my channel if you could give me your opinion on it Cameron!
Going to look at big turbo focus st built engine new engine with 46k on it and the turbo has a 20k on it there are no receipts for work besides Venmo payment and told who built it and all I have is the listing for built engine for 13k what do you think
where did you get your stool you're sitting on in the last 5 minutes of the video from?? awesome video though man really informative
I have a question is the engine have a timing CHAIN or a rubber timing belt and is it attached to the water pump please. Whenever I buy a car if it has a rubber timing belt I change the belt and the water pump so I'm hoping this engine has a timing chain. Please advise
It has a timing chain, not a timing belt
I get my hands on a 2014 st for 4000 with 140k miles. The only issue it misfires on 3rd gear and doesn't go over 4k rpms. Getting code p0012 and p0315. Is this easy fix?
@@hix9306 all I know it has to be reprogrammed with scanner to reset the crank and cam sensor . I forgot what they call it
@@hix9306 if your truck is causing a misfire and/or your motor has no power that might be it
@@hix9306 I'm not sure what your motor is doing but to me that sounds like pinging or engine knock . Try to use better octane to see if it goes away other than that for that code your cam sensor to be relearned(timing) w a scanner
It’s called misfire count relearn, or neutral profile relearn.
How can I send a DM. Do you work on anyone's car? I can come from Vegas. It's a fiesta that needs a swap.
The ticking is the direct injection, it's loud.
i have a big problem so my cousin just got a 2014 st and i honestly fell in love with it and i have always liked rs’s but honestly i really want to get a st should i?
Save the extra money on mods for the st!
I'd like an RS but the ST engine is better. RS engine is open deck. Not great. I'd rather buy an ST, modify it a bit and have alot of money left over.
Weirdly my clutch is heavy af! And I’ve driven plenty of manual cars. I thought it was stock when I bought it from the dealership but maybe mine isn’t? 🤔
No way it isn’t. The only clutch lighter than this that I’ve felt is a base model 2017 Honda Civic hatch and
@@CameronAlford i disagree that the ST clutch is super light. I would just describe it as "medium" lol. The Corolla, Civic, VW Polo, Nissan Sentra, Scion tC, etc, are all much lighter. But the ST is pretty light for a *performance* car, much lighter than the Mustang for example
crashed my zx3 se focus. So now im saving up for a ST lol
I'm looking to buy a used he said
it’s 2013 st2 I bought it stock with 32k on it it’s now at 68k and raising. It lowered on springs and new struts probably 15k miles on them. It has 2.5inch straight pipe from the cat back. Can come with a 3inch catless downpipe and an accessport
Got other small mods like sound symposer delete and fswerks short shifter with solid shift cable bushings and solid shift mounts
And I also have a Cobb RMM that’s not on the car"" its red and looks clean. I need a daily and drive a 2006 rsx type s. But need a upgrade. Does his car sound ok for a daily. I wanted completely stock but his price and miles are hard to pass up he is asking 13,000
I have mine, for 17k stage 3 with cob accessory tune stratified e30
Intercooler mountune
air intake and Cobb filter MBRP downpipe and catbackexhaust,
James barone short throw and shifter, snorkel, everything is good , nothing to worry, runs great, just can’t keep with the payment anymore,
Please do a 300zx build next 😬😳
I've seen the kid who owns that car in Tucson. I love, just absolutely love that color. Blue is my favorite and I want an ST so bad, I want the ford hatch that goes burble burble pop lol. I just have a 2016 focus S right now, which I still like my car, but I as soon as I can will be trading it for an ST. I can't wait!
So glad I got an ST, I was considering a Civic si and it was so slow
I prefer the look of 10th gen si coupe with only a tune im walking on st's
@@luigitouchette421 with the same price tune the st would walk the si tho
Daniel Sargeant I think the ST’s sound better too
@@skiamerica2008 agreed! They r very Nice
Luigi Touchette lmaoooo syyyyyyke
thank you for a straight forward video... lots of info man, i appreciate it!
Do all st3 have sunroof? Or are there st3 without it?
Great video. Thank you.
Should I buy one white 173,000km for 10k CAD???
As a chipotle worker it is indeed chipotle music
Changing the oil at 3000 miles is a waste these days. Even with conventional oil, you can go 5000. There are oils that will go 10,000 or even 20,000. The Focus ST has sensors that evaluate the oil quality and will tell you when to change it, it's not based on a mile interval.
whats the song at the beggining?
I get one in Tuesday.
Is it normal for the engine to slightly flutter when your sat idol. The needle is just a bit under 1000 which is normal but I notice very slight dips? Always had Honda this is the first Ford so not to sure. Wondered if it was to do with the turbo 🤷♂️
Very informative 👌🏻
this is a St1 but what year model?
Did you remove the hood liner or did you buy it like that?
There is no hood liner LOL. It's a thing.
The clutch on my 2016 st is so heavy… very very touchy though
My Mustang ecoboost dip stick looks identical, and i only ever filled the oil to the top of the cross marks, until i checked my manual, which states to fill to the second circle, and not to the top of cross marks. Did i read the manual wrong? Where does everyone fill their oil to? Cross marks, or top circle? Great video, great content brotha!
The pictures from ford on mine were wrong but my car came with 2 manuals. One for the base model and one for my model. I picture was like something from a ikea manual lol
Do you guys think this would be a better or more reliable daily driver than a Subaru WRX?
big time.
@Cameron Alford Awesome. I am currently saving up for a Focus ST in a separate savings account and will be following your playlist late next year. Will be exciting, being a complete car beginner at the moment. I've already started watching to get an idea of some car world things.
Hey I didn't get if the symposer delete is here as a stock piece or as a modification, can anyone clarify that for me please? Much love thx :)
Awesome videos Cameron thank you!
The sound symposer is a factory feature. The symposer delete is quick, cheap mod.
In different countries the car may not have a sound symposer from the factory
I own a weird spec focus same chassis mine a focus se, base cloth seats but heated, sync touch screen, sony stereo and sub with ambient lighting all factory how i bought it from ford weird custom order car
Excellent!!
Thanks bro
Bro why are you not running the best oil in this
Is 95000 miles on a 2014 ok to buy?
Definitely, as long as it has had good servicing and has never been heavily modified. He said that they can last for well over 100K miles if maintained properly.
100k miles is nothing if it's had basic maintenance regularly.
Thank you
What kind of wheels are those
Rotiforms

Why not get an rs?
Ummmm price maybe??? Duhhh
You think that’s the number one factor? With the mods he’s done? Wake up fella
@@sander16v11 for the majority yes it’s like a 10k difference
@@moistcritical3193 I agree the price difference is high. Seeing how much had gone into this car, I’d be curious to see hear his reasoning for going this route.
