I bought a brand new 2017 ST3. I change the oil every 5000 miles. I put the highest grade gas in it since I bought it put in a good air filter K&N. put on a cat back exhaust everything else is stock replaced the spark plugs brake pads alternator I have 130,000 miles on it and I haven’t had any problems with this car. Very happy with it.
They're solid if you don't mess eoth them too much. Even if you do upgrade turbo intercooler etc you have to get a really good tune. I wouldn't let anyone but Edge Autosport tune an ST.
You see I like this. Anyone who changes their oil at 3000 miles idc who you are we can be friends. These newer vehicles have all kinds of plastics in the timing drive and oil breaks down over time. When the oil breaks down it loses its lubricity and it doesn’t provide much of a coating like it should. This is smart for any vehicle I don’t care how new or old.
Great video! You should make a video of how we know if our car js misfiring or how to know the car is running rich or lean as well as how we know know if our car is pulling timing and all of that, I think that would be a such a great info video to watch
When my purge valve went bad the way I could tell was after I filled the tank up it was hard to start or didn't want to stay running for about 30-45 seconds and then it would clear up. Only time it acted funny was directly after a fill up.

1of the "issues* with running a higher ethanol content fuel, while gaining more horsepower, your combustion chamber will carbon up a lot easier/more, especially on a direct inspection/force induction engine. Ethanol burns cooler and is a "dirtier" fuel that contributes more carbon buildup, something that already an issue for direct injection engine.. A quality 89/91/93 octane gas would be your best bet.. unless you spend the $$ putting in a somewhat pricey carbon/fuel cleaner additive often to your tank. Just an fyi & a factor to compute y'all 👍😁
I have a question. There is a 2014 Focus ST3 that I’m looking at 167k miles on the body 127k on the engine. Ford dealer replaced the engine at 40k miles. The guy has a stage 2 clutch and new billet flywheel. He’s selling it for $9,500. Worth it or not?
