    Ohh how wonderful that you mentioned Mr. Goggins. I was always curious if you would diagnose him as an enhanced codependent. Great video Kenny, I love your style and the way you present the information - seriously great job. Greetings from Poland.

    Your videos are sooo great! You have made many missing connections I have tried to make for years by studying other material. When I broke my ankle I screamed out “I can’t take this anymore! I give up!” Because I am always trying to keep up on the treadmill of family issues and I needed time off (a break haha) I could see it coming.

    Another point on animal love: The reason puppies and animals are so easy to love is because they are safe. They are helpless in this world without a care taker. A person with abandonment issues therefore can safely love the animal as it is incapable of leaving them.

    Nice comes from the Latin word nescius (“ignorant”), which is also the origin of a lesser-known English word, nescience (“ignorance”). The word took a trip from Latin through Old French and Middle English before ending up in Modern English

    Traumatized persons in ongoing misuse must be very careful if they cry or yell to much when they are close to their dogs who love them a lot, they take on your pain. They often get sick too and die of cancer in that period, as they spend all their life energy to try to make you happy again and they get so desperate if their love doesn’t work. I heard this a lot from highly traumatized depressed persons…so if you are alone with the dog in the car - do not yell or cry infront of them- they do not see anyone else in the car and think it’s about them. They get depressed too. Get somewhere yelling/crying where you do not hurt anyone unknowingly.

    The animal love insight is on point. Paramedics brought in a man who later died to our ER. He took a months worth of insulin in one dose after discovering his cat was taken by animal control. The Paramedics found his note by his bed which read that he didn't want to be on earth without his cat. Crazy

    Which book do you recommend most ?
    What was the author?
    You recommended 2 other books.
    In which order should we read/study/apply them?
    Did you talk about Melody Beattie ???

    • @kennyweiss
      @kennyweiss  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I do not recommend Melody Beattie. You will not learn anything about codependence from her.
      I suggest Pia Mellody. Her three books are on my website and on my recommended reading list.

      @@kennyweiss - Kenny, thank you so much for your swift reply (I was a bit afraid you wouldn't check these comments any more/this channel or older videos).
      Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. It is highly appreciated here. I am going to check out your website & your reading list !
      (most codependency books seem very surface to me, while self-help books with loads of scientific or research terms also do not work for me, it needs to be practical as well as insightful)
