Nice video ! So I drove a RS6 C7 for over 100,000 miles. It was a C7 (2013). Got in 2014 and let go in 2022 (boo!). It had the Litchfield stage 2 system and was an epic 730 BHP beast ! In 2015 I got this car for 64K with 11,000 miles. Prices have gone crazy! Thing is, it is not just the purchase price you need to consider. Ignore the fuel, that is obvious. 5 Sets of quality tyres ( about £1500 a ago if you want serious rubber), 5 sets of pads and discs (about £3k a go), even the spark plugs are expensive (to fit). Anyway - still love the car. A great car but the purchase price (or loan) is just the start !

Heard that this RS6 performance is now faster than E63s and M5comp 😮 We need a drag race between them on your channel once the embargo is lifted Joe!!
That's what I want to find out, but as of recently I don't have hope in the current gen Audi, the c7 performance generation was the best, it really stood it's ground against all variants of the m5 and e 63, Audis claimed 0-60 of this generation performance variant of the rs7/6 is STILL slower on paper than the m5c and e63s let's hope thats not the case on the drag
I think it’s still gonna be slower than the M5 competition because at the end I don’t think Volkswagen will allowed this RS6/RS7 to be more powerful than the panamera turbo s, and the M5 competition is faster than panamera

NC500 just before the season opens is epic, no traffic, very few other cars, no caravans, and when I did it with my mates, no police (though we kept to the limits obviously!!)
I delivered to the Mini dealer on park lane last week in a 60ft car transporter, first time i'd driven in london at all, was a real experience 😅

Always loved the RS6 and still do. Wouldn’t get a red one and don’t like those aluminium trims on the outside. By the way Joe, the link to the M3/RS6 video did not appear for me. (I’ve already watched it anyway). Looking forward to the first drive video.

Always been a big fan of the RS6. First video I watched of Joe's was an RS6 review what seems like many years ago.
I'm so pleased mine and other peoples wages have multiplied in line with car prices so that we can all afford a new car of the type our respective governments are seemingly forcing us to go for. Who'd have thought we would be taking about an Audi A6 Avant body that was in excess of £110,000.

Embargo Joe. Its been out 2 months. But whatever Audi want I guess. Awesome just to see you get close and personal with that insane car. I saw the price and thought ohh i dont know. Still think rs4 is the best value for money car they do. But nice to see the daddy. And see why its the daddy. Insane car
Did this drive 2/3 weeks back on a Saturday in our Porsche 911 Carrera 4S ad also noticed how clear the roads were all the way - it was a very very relaxing drive even with the odd piece of exercise on the autobahn 😉.
Then headed off to Switzerland for the week also with some fantastic driving roads and little traffic

Really rate the red on titanium trim; pleasant change to the usual black on black RS6s on the road.

Not that it isn’t stupid fast already but to stay relevant, Thank god they increased the power.
The Rs6 has been lacking a lot in terms of performance. A normal M3 Competition is faster than an RS6. They should have given the Performance variant more power. An M5 is still going to be much faster.
Can’t wait to hear your driving impressions… this must surely be the last RS6 I am still waiting to see if this is really better than a C7 RS6
Audi hinted at an even more "Extreme RS6"... possibly based off the RS6 GTO concept that recently came out... we shall see.

This thing was on the german configurator for like under a week, only a couple of days. Since then, it hasn´t been available, and not even the normal RS6, or the RS7 (also both models not available). Yet in the UK, you can order them. I don´t know what Audi is up to these days.
U could order and config it for 5 hours.

@Joe Achilles - just a quick one on changing the speedo to KMs for mainland Europe, does it also change the readings and calculations in the Sat Nav?
You can change that in the Waze settings but yes. The default sat nav measurement units change to kms too when you change it in through mmi settings.

Why would you buy a base and then spec it up, instead of buying the higher trim levels where it comes standard?

@@JoeAchilles1 I must be missing something! I imagine this would cost similar money to a vorsprung but misses some of the nice trim bits, unless you actively wanted to avoid the carbon bits
Audis RS models have really upped their game in recent years. Time was BMW M (in particular) and Merc AMG cars would regularly spank the RS equivalents in tests as drivers' cars. but that is no longer guaranteed.
Wdym? This small upgrade isn’t going to help Audi. The M3 Touring is a lot more modern, cheaper and faster than the RS6 and this RS6 Performance may be a bit faster but not much and even then u can make ur M3 Touring even faster with lighter M Performance Rims and Titanium exhaust.
@@rennteam8815 Don't get me wrong. I'd take the M3 Touring over the RS6 too (although, they are not direct competitors, as M3 is A4 size and RS6 is M5 size - even if there is no M5 Touring). My point is, Audi RS cars have got much better in terms of their driving dynamics in recent years, and not as hopeless as they once were.
Awesome video. Unpopular opinion, the wheels don't fit the car at all. They make the car look slimmer and the design of the wheels would better suit a SUV

Absolutely love @joe but I can't watch vids on these types of cars. Not his fault but too many cars are unaffordable and in 'dream car' territory without actually being very exciting. Audi should pick a name for their sportier models and stick with it, their lineup is getting confusing. Other than that the car looks so much better with those wheels, they're miles better than the stock ones.
