    I love the nuanced comparison here. As an RS 6 owner, I prioritized a comfortable and luxurious daily, that can actually be fun on a weekend drive. The M3 is definitely more dynamic, but you lose some of the refinement and luxury kit. Both amazing cars no matter how you slice it.

      Audi definitely rides with more comfort however the BMW interiors are objectively of better quality and standard.

    • @shammyh
      @shammyh ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @@Chris-yg3nj Having spent time in both modern high-end BMWs and modern high-end Audis, I'd say they were equal, or perhaps slight edge to Audi in terms of interior quality. But I'm talking like 8 series, 7 series vs A6/A8. Can't really speak to SUVs or the smaller sedans.

      @@johnguidetti5839 Pano moonroof. Massaging seats. More surfaces covered in leather. Higher end audio systems. Rear wheel steering. Air suspension. True 4 zone climate control. Some little things too... Soft close doors... Puddle projectors on all 4x doors... Etc
      If you're comparing M5 to RS 6, then yes, all the same toys/features are there, pretty much? But the M3/M4 is a class down. The RS 6 has a 50K USD/EUR higher MSRP after all.

      Yep. Another C8 RS6 owner here. I love the car to bits and it’s a V8! Need I say more? As Joe says - you feel all of the power all of the time.
      I do like the M3 touring. In fact when I get a ‘weekend car’ and swap my daily I’ll probably get a 340d; but the RS6 is just so much more refined. Although it should be - it’s another price point and not really comparable.
      A new rs6 performance vorsprung will set you back £130k 😅

    At this point I've not only gotten used to the new M3 grill, it actually became my one of favorite looks for a BMW. So I would definitely take the M3 touring over the RS6 even though that car looks incredible as well.

      I think it looks better on the full-fat M cars than all the others, but still not my favourite. I think I’d agree with you that I’d take the M3 touring, though. More of a drivers’ car.

      @@fredc9655 The problem isn't with the size of grill I don't think. I think it's that we're used to smaller grills from BMW so these bigger look out of place at least for now. With time people will get used to these everything will be fine.

Yes, everything else is magical but the thought of buying brand new and having to change springs / fit spacers and an aftermarket exhaust is just a no-go for me. Moving from my M4CS last year I so wanted to get into a G82 M4 but in the end, I just couldn't cope, so off the back of one of your other vids, I opted for an R8 V10+ lol. Joe your reviews are always very unbiased. A lot of the time Audi's get written off bc they're not the most dynamic cars, but that's the whole point of the brand. It's not the most dynamic but in turn it offers better daily drivability. If you only care about driving dynamics go BMW (not say they can't be daily driven). If all cars were trying to be the most dynamic driving the market would actually be so boring since the cars would all drive the same, so I can see why there is no clear winner in this comparison. Its more on what your values are, for me I don't mind trading off some driving dynamics for daily drivability that's why I usually go with Audi's but I can definitely see myself in a BMW in the near future too.

    The huge rivalry between them makes Mercedes, Audi and BMW build such great cars. As a BMW driver, I love the smile that all BMWs, from the 1 series to the 7 series can put on your face. The sound of the Audi RS6 is the reference for me, like a huge army of Huns with war drums announcing their arrival. Both great cars the RS6 from the side is the most beautiful estate car you could wish for. However, the rear of the M3 is even a touch nicer than the Audi. As for practicality, I myself am not a fan of big cars. For transports I rent a van, and with a car I just want to be able to park easily anywhere too, I like agile cars. My situation: I am on the road alone or together with my wife 99% of the time. These two cars are two delicious monsters, I choose the more compact BMW thats suits my situation the best. Not a capitel overhere, I suppose the maintenance costs as well as the fuel consumption is a bit better with the BMW, as far as people concern ofcourse that have 90k to spend on a car.

    I sell my 911 Carrera T and will me taking one of these. I’ve watched hours of comparisons and still can not make a decision but as that will be my weekend car to take my kids to cinema and hit the mountain passes alone to enjoy myself I think will pick m3. Bit smaller but still practical…

      @@JoeAchilles1 i did not like the new infotainment with the huge screen under the front window which was distracting to me.
      but ofc both are great cars!

    Car for Car... Is there really even any comparison here? The better car is the RS6 - it's epic and an instant classic. The BMW is just another avant.
    New vs Used is a completely different debate.
    Cost of ownership also a completely different debate. The BMW will be less expensive to own long term most likely.

    You turn off the Audi bonging on a C7 so probably the same on a C8 by pressing the steering wheel left hand controls left and right buttons or the press the scroll wheel.

    As a BMW owner for many years and fan. M3 is superb if it wasn’t for the front grille. Which does look better in real life than photos and more so in darker colours - black front grill - darker paint colours. Black paint is the best colour to blend into the grille. This and I have tried so hard - I really do not like and on a car costing 80k plus - an M car SHOULD be WOW …really want one. Whomever designed that grille and moreover those who allowed it to production as a finalised design - I really do shake my head in disappointment. On the looks the Audi wins hands down.

    Ughhhh such a hard choices... Rs6 better looking from outside, interior and multimedia i prefer M3 ( except how they install this LCDs.... ). Engine... with all the love to B58/S58 I think this Audi V8 is beast and have massive potential. Handling M3, everyday usage hard to say from one side smaller car - M3 from other bigger comfort on RS6..... Personally I went from Audi A6 C7 to BMW 3 but I think in this situation I will go for RS6 C8.

    Great video. The RS6 is the most beatiful estate there is. Sad that all other Audis are a fax paper sales man car.
    (TT excluded. That’s a hairdresser’s car)

    For me the M3 would be great as an expensive second car in the house. No comparison to the RS6 AVANT.

  • @markosthomadakis9256
    @markosthomadakis9256 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Not a fair comparison. The Audi is a tested and proven vehicle more spacious and balanced. The M3 is a small car with some added boot space. I don’t get the hype. I have tested the new 3 series and I can barely fit inside. The car is simply not a touring car. The Audi is properly designed to serve its purpose. I am a BMW fanboy but there’s a problem here and the specs are misleading.

    I do like the way Audis look inside and outside , i personally think Audi has 1 of the best interiors on the market but when it comes to Quality and Speed and agility i do think BMWs are much much better , 1 think i hate with BMW is that they dont make panoramics sunroofs like Audi , it looks amazing
