    We don't like immigration agents - the ones' that aren't authorized by ICCRC and qualified to help you with your application in exchange for money - first of all, it's not legal to do that, and second of all, it's so easy that you don't really need paid help! We are a young couple who started their Canadian Immigration journey in 2018 and moved to Canada 3 days before the pandemic hit in March 2020. Over the course of our application, we have seen so many people getting screwed over by greedy / fraudulent and unauthorized immigration consultants who promise you the world in exchange for thousands of dollars and deliver a whole lot of NOTHING; to an extent that in many cases, the applications get rejected, due to their negligence.
    Therefore, we are taking matters in our own hands. After months of research and our own experience of applying for a Canadian PR, we came up with an e-book series & this TH-cam channel which would include - errors to avoid, perfect sample documents (my own) and alternate ways of immigrating to Canada - 100 pages of absolute goldmine between these 3 e-books - no filters, no premium versions to these ebooks... everything is out there FOR FREE, for you to read and execute the process yourself! All we are doing in these ebooks is sharing our experience of applying for PR ourselves / structuring and pointing you in the right direction via various different resources that are available on IRCC's official website. The TH-cam channel will compliment the e-book and add some personality and entertainment to the entire process :-)

    That fail fast bit- you're spot on. If you had to learn about something, say a business, you'd have taken classes which is also expensive with no chance of measurable return because you'd as it is have to invest in the business. There maybe some advantage in monetarily, time or experience but nobody can say that for sure. So it's always a good idea to try

    By the way, payment doesn’t go up but your interest part increases and your equity part in payment shrinks. When you come up for renewal, and if you not paid enough equity to maintain that payment, you might have to either increase your amortization period again or your payment. In Canada majority of us are locked for 5 years so we will be affected when renewal comes. Also the only way our payment can go up if interest surpass the qualifying rate. Which can happen but chances are less. Right now that interest rate is around 5.4 percent.

    • @Potatotalkies
      @Potatotalkies  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not true my friend :)
      Most mortgages are adjustable variable rate. Do check with your bank which one is yours’ ARM or VRM. qualifying rate is 5.25%

    • @abhinandanmadan
      @abhinandanmadan 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Potatotalkies , you are right but i was specifically talking about variable mortgage with fixed payments. I can’t agree or deny which one people take more or which one more get offered by Canadian banks. As I have all three with my 3 houses. It comes to which lender or mortgage broker you go to. All three come with their own advantages or disadvantages.

    This is what happens when you print money and pay to the people who already have enough of it . Your fiscal deficit increases along with inflation. It's nothing that can't be controlled but it may take several years . Love from lucknow sir. ❤

    Canadian government has done extremely well for last few years to keep most Canadians in DEBT TRAP. Navjot ji: By increasing salary by 20K and qualifying for100K higher mortgage, are we not increasing the DEBT trap for new immigrants? Increasing house prices are only helping older immigrants but newer immigrants are getting their hands badly burnt.

    • @Potatotalkies
      @Potatotalkies  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends. If I use the 100K to buy a 500K property, it appreciates to 700K - I sell and pull out 300K before taxes and pay off my primary accommodation almost 70% and be debt free in 5 years 😀
      So, the moral of the story is - we can either use this maths to blame the govt or use it to make more money - it’s up to us and how we think 😀

    I applied for WES ECA in Dec'2020 and my ECA is on hold since Jan'2021 due to verification of my degrees/transcripts. My masters degree has been verified by IP Univ. and replies received/logged in WES system. However, verification for my Bachelor's Degree from DU is pending for a year despite me paying the DU verification fees also. WES has been repeatedly sending requests for verification to DU and DU has also been replying but for reason, all these replies are being rejected by WES. WES is saying their process if confidential and not telling me anything. And, DU ppl showed the replies to me on their computer screen. But, the ECA is still on hold due to this. What should I do???

    I am using your app and it asks if i have foreign work experience. I want to understand if this foreign work experience is similar to the work experience which I have here in India or will it be if i work somewhere else outside India which is going to be counted as foreign work experience.
    I am wondering this because on immigration website it is mentioned that any experience which is outside Canada is foreign experience.

      I find it funny when people think Potato Talkies are the root of all evil and booming prices just because they have invested in 3 houses. If you have been in Canada for a while you will know people from South Asian/other communities have 5-10 houses or more already here. It's the way capitalism, money and equity work.
      They are sharing helpful tips for people to do the same and not just hoarding up silently. It's their hard earned money, their savings and more importantly, their life which will be affected if they default. Most of the hate is a case of sour grapes. I'm in the first time house hunt myself so I feel everyone's pain but there needs to be action from the government + central bank to bring sanity to prices.
