The platform handled really well for a saloon. The 2.0L ecoboost engine pulled hard enough with a little bit of lag if the current vs target speed delta was large. The 2.0L ecoboost engine had V6 fuel economy.
@@martincarr4204 The 2.0 Ecoboost is actually very reliable... if you get a 2013/14 model. 2015 they changed some of the design on the block, leading to the infamous coolant intrusion problem.

Nice! I have a 2017 Titanium with the 2.0T. I recently got Steeda springs and have had my eye on the CAI. Now I’m thinking about the strut tower brace and rear sway bar. This car is my daily and I want to make it more fun to drive. Thanks for the video! 😎
I had a 13 1.6 eco with a big fiesta st turbo, intercooler upgrade and custom dp. It also had some steeda goodies like the steeda strut tower bar 🙌🏽 EDIT: there is a tuning option go with torrie from unleashed
I have a 2014 2.0 Ecoboost SE. Love the looks and handling of the 2014 Fusion. The only thing that I would bring up as a concern is the hard shift from 2nd to 3rd, it can be quite a kick in shifting. Any thoughts on this concern of mine?
Maybe change the transmission fluid, or replace the transmission mount. This ford sealed transmissions are very delicate and have to be maintained regularly.
Had a 19 titanium and the engine grenaded itself before 45k and I never got better than 19 mpg. Idk if it was a lemon or what but it never ran right and never felt right even after an engine replacement. Still a super awesome car but I’m not sure about the platform.
My only nitpick is probably the fact that the steering is kinda heavy. Not sure if the one I drove was defective, but the electric power steering was kinda heavy and hard
Have a 16 Fusion SE 2.5L with tech and cold weather packages. Pretty good car. I have a bunch of your suspension and chassis parts. I have H&R springs and a K&N intake. The one thing I wish I could find out is if any of the aftermarket motor mounts that were made will work on the 2.5L when they all say 1.5/1.6/2.0 and then the 2.7TT. I could have gotten a Titanium 2.0T AWD, but at the time I wanted something I wouldn't modify. I did it anyway....just no IC, no exhaust, no DP, no tune, no turbo upgrade...I was able to cut myself off and only spend a little of what I would normally spend. The 2.5L is slow but it's reliable. My 14 Cruze 1.4T is a bit quicker because it's a few hundred pounds lighter and has a bunch of bolt-ons...no turbo and no turbo planned for it). It looks good being slightly lower with aftermarket wheels and tint...it's not fast or even quick...but I'm fine with that. Really disappointed that they don't have any other cars though...would consider another Ford if they had cars...maybe a Mustang would work for me, but only an Ecoboost.
Check out DIY Bushing maker I’ve used it to make custom mounts for my SHO, did my drivers side trans mount, and did the control arm mounts which REALLY made the car feel tight and responsive when I turned the wheel, and no bump steer.
Had a Map sensor go out, I've replaced the motor mounts and valve cover gasket. But that's it. Only on our second set off brake pads also. Love the car.
Have a 17 2.0 Ecoboom Titanium. At 35000 miles the engine light came on during a trip to Georgia. When we got back to sw Florida took it to Ford. Bottom end, the short block had to be replaced. Apparently a cooling path issue between the cylinders was a design flaw. Was replaced with a 18 and over short block that had an improved cooling path. Also drive shafts are weak on these. Have gone through a couple in only 61000 miles. We get asked if we r spinning the wheels (burnouts), my wife is not the type (her car). Fuel economy is not great, would’ve been more reliable and just as economical with a good NA V6. Only thing saving us is an extended warranty which is up soon. The car goes before that. And it wasn’t just us, my son owned a 17 Platinum. He had 2 trans rebuilds, driveshafts, and the ecoboom issue 2 times!! The second time they used the 18 and over block and was ok after. But he got rid of the car quickly after. And no, we are on top of maintenance so it wasn’t lack of care. I’m sure your parts are fine but the Fusion platform and the reliability are not.

With a compression ratio of 9:1 you can get away with mid-grad fuel. Would also recommend the steeda coolant pump as the factory unit is cheaply made.
