I love my fusion sport. I think it will be a close race.
The Sport is AWD with a twin turbo 2.7 V6, 325 HP, 380 Torque vs the RWD Ecoboost with a single turbo 2.3 4 cylinder with 310 HP, 350 torque. No surprise which accelerates the quickest in its best mode.
Cant wait to see the Fusion Sport vs Accord 2.0
I wonder it would do against the K5 GT tho
Awesome video as always 👌 👏.
The fusion would win because it’s a boosted V6 and the accord is a lightly boosted 4 cylinder.
Accord is dope af but would not win, the fusion has been class leading even still being discontinued
I've raced a k5 gt in my sport. I had the unfair advantage since mine is tuned with added bolt-ons. I got him off the line due to awd. I kept gapping him until I hit 60. We talked at the next light. He never knew about the sport and was very surprised.
compare this video to the 2.3 Mustang vs Accord video and you can see the Fusion would win by a lot from a dig. The roll races seem to show an even match up or even an Accord win.
@@nissandude even the GLI beat the ecoboost HPP which has more HP than the one accord race
“And we got em lets go” thats my bro!!!
I'm not gonna give it away, but I have a fbo tuned sport and I've been up against a few ecoboost mustangs....
Have you ever race a stock charger/challenger RT?
@Random Uploads yes, about a week ago actually. A charger rt 5.7. He spun off the line. By the time I hit 60, my car was well ahead of his. The rt is heavier, rwd, and has less hp than mine.
@@troye43 yeah I heard the fusion sport stock can beat an RT cuz it jumps off the line.
@Random Uploads the awd is the deciding factor in most of the races I've been in. I also have a 93 tune, a bigger fmic, and other upgrades with play a huge part.
Oh my you got your hands on a Fusion Sport! You gotta get that up against the K5GT.
That's what I want to see as well !
Yay finally !! I’ve been waiting months to see this. Excited for the tuned one also
Dope Content Gentlemen ! Love the intense intro !
That look on the bearded driver's face is priceless lol
Sam I would like to see the Taurus sho that one is fast too
Have a sport tuned by unleashed on 93.
Am guessing your future vid will show the difference. It’s amazing how the things goes 0-60
What have you raced and beat?
@@AkronKid330
Closest races
The 6.4l srt8 jeep - slight pull the entire time
6.1l challenger - pulled to start and he came back. But it was 95+ that day. So I suspect in a 70 degree day I might have been able to keep him back. Both vehicles sounded amazing. Jeep had a muffler delete not sure if the challenger had anything.
Things I handled easily and was surprised

@@YourBestFriendforToday man that's awesome. I love sleepers!
I own a first gen 2010 Fusion Sport LOVE IT! talk about people not knowing a Fusion Sport existed- doubt anyone remembers the first gen SPORT from 2010-2012?
I have a 2016 fusion se Ecoboost makes 247bhp in sport and I'm looking forward to giving her more HP love the car and will have it forever
These races are more fun than the high hp cars. Fusion vs accord next
I appreciate you bringing the sleeper out..I have a 3.0 mkz
I raced a Civic in my 2011 Fusion on my way back from school, and maybe it was because they backed off, but I won.
It's surprising how fast even the stock Fusions can get, especially with 0-60 in 6 to 8 seconds
That fusion is a great sleeper, because it definitely doesn't look like it will be fast, but it surely is, relatively speaking.
Epic sleeper because there are so many lame variants of Fusion all over the road. I would love to own one!
I really like your review and comparison your videos are straight to the point using all modes traction on traction off it really let you know what car to buy compared to other cars awesome video
I’m buying a sport later today! I’m thrilled
Fusions are pretty fast cars up to 145 they pull. Orlando area a few tuned. Straight sleepers
I have a 2015 ecoboost fusion and love it. I've always wanted the black on black sport!
When i worked for Ford in '05 i drove the Mach 1, which made a lot of noise and shook like crazy!... Years later i bought a '16 Fusion SE, which reminded me a lot of the Lincoln Mark 8 i had yrs ago...2 months ago i got a speeding ticket in the Fusion... Yup! The Fusion is FAST!
I have a tuned sport and have beat several 5.0 non 10 speed Mustangs at the track. The 10 speed and bump in hp really makes a difference.
what numbers are you getting with the tune. I bought a Fusion Sport in July 2020 but traded in shortly after because the gas was a killer. But I miss it so much and just got a fully remote job so I am going to get it again. Even in this crazy market its still such a value.
I have a murdered out 2010 SEL fusion v6 3.0l w exhaust work it’s such a great car interior is two tone peanut butter seats and black trim and dash it’s such a sleep it gets up! Wish I had the 2011 fusion sport I love the old body’s they look so much better looks more sporty
Really really nice race Sam! This makes me really curious about the GLI vs ecoboost! Hope to see it soon
Yes please post that race Sam!
Sam good race, the turbo Fusions were fast. Thank you for sharing. Another good race to see would be the Genesis GV70 2.5t sport prestige vs Porsche Macan 2.0t.
I have both vehicles and would expect the one with bigger displacement, more turbos and all wheel drive to win.
I know I’m late but I need to see the fusion against a Q50 😭
I'm writing this before I see the races... I'm getting the feeling the 10 speed in the Mustang might take it. We'll see.
I’ve been waiting forever for this video Jesus upload more of the sport
Putting the 10 speed in the fusion sport would be killer. Too bad Ford killed the car.
Ford doesn’t have a 10-speed for FWD applications.
@@ghostwrench2292
They have a 9 speed for transverse applications, right? Better than the 6 speed they have on the fusion sport?
I enjoy this video so much you should have the accord race the fusión
Great job Ford, you took a car that had so much potential and blew it. Even GM is trying to get rid of the Malibu yet are still selling them out every year.
Nice race! Interesting to see the 2.3 and 2.7 run. Sam that hair is on point mate! Your next calling car could be acting. 😁😁
Thank you
Nice! Now just waiting for the Fusion Sport vs Accord 2.0t
Ford Fusion Sport. The one with the 2.7 that can beat a lot of hot hatches down the 1/4 mile. Ford says it makes 325 hp, but it consistently beats 330 hp Ecoboost mustangs that also weigh less. My guess is that it makes closer to 350.
It's the torque.
I want to see the fusion against the k5 gt and a acura tlx type S
Accord 1.5T vs sonata 1.6T please sam I hope you will see this comment 😊
Would love to see this same race with the Taurus sho. Stock and tuned
Nice video! Can you make a video with that Charger scat pack Daytona again or the new charger scat pack wide body with Mickey Thompson radial tires for better launch vs The new Tesla model 3 dual motor no 2000$ performance upgrade or with it.
That would be very interesting race because I have a 2018 Scat Pack Charger Daytona 💪 🚗 👍 🍻
Can we see a 2013-2014 Cadillac ATS with the 3.6 in one of these races?!?!
Would love to see an actual tuned FFS vs. 2.3 Ecoboost Mustang
The tuned fusion would dust it. Especially with CAI/tune
@@AkronKid330 CAI doesn't really do anything (if you read the fusion forums). But I definitely would love to see two FBO versions race
I own a Fusion Sport and it is truly a sleeper. Did you use 93 Octane for the full performance of the Sport? Great video. Can't wait to see the Tuned version in action.
MY WIFE RECENTLY BOUGHT A 2019 FUSION AFTER TRADING IN HER 2005 FOCUS AND SHE LOVES IT!...BUT I WONDER IF YOU HAD THE FORD PERFORMANCE VERSION OF THE FORD MUSTANG WITH 330HP WHAT THE RESULTS WOULD BE!...I AM JUST SAYING!...GOD BLESS AMERICA! 😇
Good race! Can’t wait to see tune for tune.
Well if you didn’t expect it, then the Fusion definitely won lol.
As a 2.0t accord owner I have to give it to the FFS! I want to see it against the k5 definitely!
Good match up. I'm thinking the Fusion wins from a dig, and Mustang wins the roll race but it'll be close.
Fusion takes both. 100%
@@overknight5278 more like 50% 👍
@@overknight5278 clearly you didn’t watch the video
@@oHypBasto lol i didnt…. It wasnt released till the morning after. Shocked it lost tho, i have a fusion and im up with 5.0’s. But im FBO 💀💀
Great video! Hyundai Veloster N vs Mustang Ecoboost next please!
Please please please! Lincoln Mkz 3.0tt awd same engine just bored bigger with better turbos for 400hp
Nice race, would love to see a 2014-2016 tuned Impala vs a fusion 2.7 v6
Specifically a limited Impala
Or even a 3.6 Impala limited vs like a charger SE
Seen ur other videos of the new civic vs the Elantra the Elantra seemed a lot quicker how would a 2020 mazda3 non turbo do ? Maybe a drag race for the slow cars!
I watched the first run. Went to carvana and cancelled my eco order. Searched for fusion sport awd and bought LOL
Lol
Ha! Smart. I think the fusion is a great looking car. People on the streets won't see you coming
@@AustinDashes 😂😂
When’s the video for the tuned fusion?
Soon
Can we please get a Genesis G80 on here lol
Yes!!! The 5.0
Do more races with the Ford Fusion Sport
Could have thrown an RS into the mix to make it even more interesting.
It’ll be nice to see a v6 challenger or charger vs the 2.3l ecoboost v6
Kind of curious to see this Fusion Sport up against the Accord 2.0T and K5 GT/Sonata N-Line now. All stock preferably. Pretty sure the TT V6 of the Fusion will take it though.
It might not take the k5 gt or n line sonata depending on how good of a launch those can get lol
Well the K5 Spanked the accord so it’ll spank both of these cars
@@sharktin240 that particular video I believe he couldn’t get the launch right. I had a gt as a rental and my friend has a 2.0t EXL so that’s even lighter than the touring and I destroyed him
@@joshm237 no he got the launch right. The K5 is just absolutely faster in every way. Trap speed of a car says it all. The K5 traps as much as a TYPE R. Even when the K5 was behind it would catch up with ease.
@@joshm237 trust me I’m not even a K5 fan. I just know stock it’s faster than the accord and GLI
Well this is gonna be interesting
Love the ford fusion sport content 👏👏
great content as always
The Fusion Sport was the true spiritual successor to the 90's Taurus SHO, moreso than the modern day Taurus SHO was.
The Fusion Sport is a proper replacement for the Mondeo ST220.
Plz do a Taurus sho lol against a 5.7 or something haha
"no manual shifting" I have an Ecoboost, you have to shift yourself when you're in sport with the paddles. Which is why the first race did what it did. Good for the fusion tho, I assumed that would happen
That's not true, if tuned and you put it into sport mode and just tap the paddle down while keeping it in 1st, you can unlock the full length of all your gears while still shifting automatically right before redline
Ecoboost vs RT or Veloster N
Why didn’t we get to see the Tuned Fusion perform? You need to test a Tuned Ford Taurus SHO
What more potentially exciting than a ford fusion sport vs an infiniti q50 3.0t...both awd.
I'll like to see the 2017-2020 mkz AWD fare with the 3.0 twin turbo
Would be interesting to see how each would do with a tune ..
Good stuff.
@Catholic Firefighter True that, haven't looked at either in while though. Quick search: th-cam.com/video/ii_fkXhg73Q/w-d-xo.html
11.03 at 121...not shabby for a stock turbo ecoboost Mustang.
Off the top of my head and with just tunes, I've seen 12s out of both cars but will take a closer look. I remember a tuned Fusion 2.7 doing 108 in the quarter and that's a bit quicker than the 106 I usually see out of tune only 2.3ts. I'd venture to guess that a tuned 2.3t would whoop a stock 2.7t and then who knows after tuning both. As you can see though, the 2.3t can be pretty mean.
Love both of these cars but my complaint about the Fusion is it's not made anymore.
Edit: Brandon DEFINITELY needs to get going. lol
I'll volunteer my Fusion Sport to take on anything you like.
