Good research with this list ✌️ I worked 7 years for the company that supplied the loan vehicles for customers with broken down Land Rovers (Jaguar). The stories I heard from customers would make your head spin. Many of them told me they didn’t even make it home from dealership after collecting their brand new car. I can unequivocally promise you that Land Rover, although stylish and comfortable, are the most over priced, over hyped heap of junk on 4 wheels. They have factories in the UK, Brazil, US, Slovakia, India and their quality control is literally non existent. They do make fantastic adverts though which is why people keep buying them 😂

I've got a net & blocks for the trunk and no hooks or holes to place them and I saw same year and model with the hooks 🤷‍♀️ same with the sound system! I drive a 2010 Lexus ES 350. I am the third owner I bought it used with 114k. Seven years of ownership, the car only has about 165K on it, these engines are unbreakable as people say do the regular maintenance on the engine. There are things that need to be replaced on my car, like the lower control, arms and bushings, which are extremely expensive, but even with those things semi broken, you wouldn’t even know from the car just by hearing some bumps how many people can say for a 14-year-old car with 165K miles still drives like it has 5 miles on it. That’s reliability.

I dont see why people are paying premium prices for this vehicle. The key fob wouldn’t work unless i was 1-5 feet away. New Toyota vehicles are having major issues. Have you heard of 100k engines they will be replacing in the Tundras? Or the transmission issues with the new Tacomas? I have seen two separate instances here on YT from two different car review channels where a new Tacoma had failures. One was on TFL where their 4WD system had a component that failed and the other was a manual transmission where the clutch failed from a simple downshift lol. My employer has some new Prius cars in their fleet and they have glitchy infotainment units and the cars interior is very cheap plastic. Getting in and out of that car, you are prone to hitting your head. One of the couriers who drives one is only 5'1 and she has hit her head getting in/out of that Prius. Poor design.
Toyota has had major issues too that the fanboy cult seems to overlook lol. Toyota has had to replace whole frames in previous generations of their trucks/SUVs because they would rust and rot out. They also had trouble with engines burning oil, in particular the 2AZ-FE engine. My employer had some vehicles with that engine and out the 8 we had, 3 of them burnt up the oil and had seized engines.

I also have other vehicles. All I can say is my Jeep is pushing 13 years old now. I bought it used when it was 5 years old and haven't had to replace a engine or transmission like the new Tundras have hahaha. Anyway....
Go ahead a drive a newer (2022-up) POS Toyota if you want. They are no longer reliable with their new turbo engines and transmissions both the auto and manuals. I wasn't even anti-Toyota before that, just pointing out that even Toyota had major issues going back years. I would consider buying a 5th gen 4Runner as it's the only vehicle they made recently that is both reliable and not a total snooze fest to me like the rest of their lineup if not for the over hyped "Toyota Tax" 🙄.
But facts are facts and they are having major issues with their 2022 and newer trucks. Don't worry though, your cult mindset will keep you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside about Toyota vehicles, even if they have become very questionable in quality and reliability. You should've known it was all downhill for Toyota when they couldn't even produce their own engine and chaisis for the Supra hahaha. In case you didn't know, the Supra is a a BMW Z4 chassis and BMW B58 engine.

Toyota/Lexus engines have a combination direct and port injection. They also have the Atkinson cycle. All these things make for improved efficiency, a long life ,and no carbon build up over time which causes a variety of problems. The Atkinson cycle makes for improved thermodynamic efficiency and has been around since the 1800's. Why doesn't everyone use it in their engines? Its costs a little more to make it that way. Toyota has a well earned reputation for reliability. They have earned it.

I have a 21 GMC 1500 Denali & I love it. The only issue I have had with it is the fuel pump going bad. Thankfully, it was still under warranty. I’d also like to add that I get anywhere between 18-20MPG. It’s not great- but considering I have the 6.2L & 22” wheels on 35” R/T tires it’s pretty good. The 2017-2020 models had transmission issues but that was also when the 10-speed transmission was introduced so I’d say that some issues should be expected when introducing a new component. Other than that- great trucks. Also the Silverado does have a bigger payload but only by like 100lbs.

Jettas, Passat, another golf. Think they were all made in Germany then if that makes a difference? My 2014 TDI Touareg is still amazing after 10 years and only 160k miles. Gonna keep driving it til they drag the diesels off the road :)

2018 Jeep Wrangler Trail Rated.. Not that bad. We have one in the family about to hit 100k, only issue so far was the rear doors had to be replaced because they became hard to close. Steering is fine. Fuel economy sucks. Not rusting yet, but it is garage kept. Around the sharp freeway ramp not so nice if there are big humps due to it wanting to "skip" and wobble if youre going faster than 35, but ok if you're not going excessively fast around the ramp. So far, no engine or transmission problems. We maintain our vehicles properly. All and all, I ain't mad at it.

  • @TheLbls1

Very good comprehensive list except for #2. I have a real hard time believing that the GMC is an unreliable choice. You can have component failure in almost any model and brand. This is the unfortunate luck of the draw. No one can predict getting a poor component (except at the factory. Factory personnel should be weeding out poor builds). However, GM's reputation of building fine light model trucks is almost legendary, and its reputation will back this. It is because of this that I will say to take all reviews with a grain of salt. Do your own investigation; compare models and interview actual owners before drawing a conclusion.

G'day it's Steven from Down Under
I must be living in an alternate universe, though I agree with many of these points I certainly do not agree with some.
This doesn't appear to be accurate data or it is subject to North American alone.
Chinese owned and made cars are swamping world markets and creating a lot of damage to much loved legacy brands, and once European owned brands are unfortunately owned by the Chinese or Indians now.
Volvo definitely has issues there is no doubt.
Range Rover has a "decades" old reputation of being unreliable, however people still buy them...go figure.
Volkswagen is also known to have many, many issues and it's all catching up with them in a bad way now.
Sadly for our American friends it's a well known fact that most American cars aren't up to scratch.
Nissan and Mitsubishi are mentioned here which is a surprise to me, now I don't own a car from either brand myself though the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is an impressive vehicle to say the least, and to my knowledge the venerable Mitsubishi Mirage sold here up until recently, had a maximum 5 star ANCAP safety rating and none of the claimed issues mentioned in this video applies here.
To my knowledge the Mirage did exactly what it was designed to do as a budget vehicle and was very frugal and reliable.
    🤔🤔🤔
