  • On our flight out to Singapore (which was amazing by the way), we changed our United Airlines tickets out for Singapore Airlines Premium Economy. The seats proved to be plenty for the 17 hours we spent on the airplane. We also were able to test out the Business Class cabin for the return, so keep your eyes peeled for that video. Thanks for watching!

    Good upload. I love Singapore airlines. I'll be doing the New York to Singapore SQ21 flight and back in the fall for a second time (love it!), all 19+ hours. They do a great job and the Airbus A350-900 ULR is a beautiful aircraft. Hope you enjoyed Singapore. We actually just transit
    through Changi, Philippines is our destination. Thanks for sharing. ✈️👋

    Did the same route a few years back, from SFO to SIN and then on to India.. then back the same way. Great airline for sure and Changi Airport offers so much to do just there itself. While for me its a transit point, as I'm getting to do that again soon, I plan to extend my transit in Singapore just to explore everything that luxury airport has to offer.. plus, Singapore itself has nice places to check out. Good to see the view outside the plane from premium economy.. though an open view of the ground below is highly important to me, so I think I'll just continue to stick with economy 🙂

    Great review, Patrick! I took this same flight back in April of last year, and then went on from Singapore to Vietnam, also on Singapore Airlines. Your experience pretty much mirrored mine, except I was way back in the last row in economy. It was an awfully long flight, and seemed as though it would never end at times.😀 That said, the outstanding service, the quality of the meals, and the overall comfort the spotlessly clean A350 offered somewhat offset the tedious length of the flight. I looked enviously at the Premium Economy and Business class sections during my flight, but economy wasn't bad, all things considered. I scored a really great deal on the tickets, so I can't complain. I suppose that was mostly due to Singapore just easing its fairly strict entry requirements in mid-April last year in an effort to kickstart its post-pandemic travel industry. I haven't seen a deal as good as that on SA since then, sadly. I just flew the SFO to SIN route again in June this year, but this time on United and on one of their 787s, which was just as long as the SA flight last year but nowhere near as pleasant.😒

    I just completed SQ33, sfo-sin then onwards to another 3 hours to mnl. I usually fly PR economy and its about 14 hours non stop to mnl. But I must say that the 16 hours in PE is not as tiring. A main attraction is of course Changi itself. We only had 5 hours layover and hardly saw anything at Changi as we rested about 2&1/2 hours at a lounge. Flying back we'll have 9 hours layover. I do think you need more time than 8 hours to explore Changi.

    • @PatrickSheaAviation
      @PatrickSheaAviation  ปีที่แล้ว

      The seat was incredibly comfortable. I had no problem sleeping without a neck pillow. The recline and adjustable headrest was enough for me to get about 5 hours of uninterrupted sleep and then stay comfortable for the rest of the flight. They do supply basic pillow and blankets to use as well which can help if you have a window seat so you have a good place to rest your head. All in all though, for a 16+ hour flight, I never had any problems with staying comfortable
