  • While in the 2020 travel shutdown, I've decided to clear some copyright claims on my channel. This is a re-edit of a previous flight with Singapore Airlines and my first time on an Airbus A350. We are traveling from Singapore to San Francisco and the flight is scheduled for 15 hours! In Economy! How did I do? Watch and see...still a bit salty after all these years...Enjoy!?

    I just flew that same route (Dec. 2022) in economy A350 and had a great experience. They offered an upgrade to premium economy at $600 but I had to pass at that price. The flight crew were awesome. I picked an aisle seat so easy access to get up an stretch from time to time. I went to the rear galley while everyone was sleeping to stand for awhile and chatted with the flight crew. They also have a snack tray back there and cups of water to help yourself while everyone else is sleeping. The guy in front of me reclined his seat so I did too, not a big deal for me. The FA's will ask everyone to straighten their seat during meal service and they turn on the lights. I was able to get in a couple of sleep sessions and then watch some movies to help pass the time. They also left pillows and blankets in each seat as you board. I love SQ!!!

      I did it again in the premium economy version in 2019 and it was really good. I do love SQ as well!

    Singapore Airlines service is AMAZING!! Also, it’s very rare to see this type of inflight service. You can only find them on pretty much Asian carriers.

      Premium economy is the way to long haul, IMO! Especially with SIA! One of my favorites.

    I thought they have only premium economy and business on the flights to the US

      Not at this time, close to 4 years ago. Might be the case now, I haven't checked.

      EWR-SIN is on the 350ULR. LAX-SIN also used to be on a 350ULR prior to the pandemic but currently operates on regular 350 as does SFO and SEA. IAH-SIN was operated with regular A350 as well via MAN.

    SQ is still better than a lot for economy, long haul flights in economy no matter how good the product is, sucks

      Trizity Traveling I think on a long haul flight it is perfectly reasonable to recline your seat. On flights

    The overhead bins are a little to high.

    • @TrizityTraveling
      @TrizityTraveling  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are way up there...I've heard some FA dislike the A350 for that reason.

    • @badgerattoadhall
      @badgerattoadhall 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@TrizityTraveling the one time that I flew an a350 (delta ams-dtw) they had non delta employees enter the plane right before flight just to shut the bins.
      Chatting during flight with delta flight attendants, I learned that the a350 was unpopular with the crew, and was even described as a "stinker".
      Apart from the bins the crew also disliked the galley.

    I fly Seattle to Singapore to Bangkok in 7 days on Singapore airlines in economy. Unless I run across another mistake fare for business class, like I did on Hong Kong airlines 3 years ago, economy will be my option. The flight is at 10:20 AM, so I’ll make sure that I get a full 7-8 hour ambien induced sleep the night before. I will have 13.5 hours at Changi airport, which will require a repeat sleep at the airport. My final destination is Chiangmai, where I have a house and I will spend 59 days there recovering from the flight.

    • @TrizityTraveling
      @TrizityTraveling  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      59 days to recover from that itinerary sounds about right... :)

      No screaming on this flight, thankfully. Turned out that it wasn't that bad IMO. I suspect the captain was being cautious.
