    I'll put that here, in case of someone would have the same problem than me later.
    If the knee does not bend forward (it bend on the sides) its because if there is an angle between your two bones, Blender is gonna pick the direction where the angle is the more visible as the direction for bending the knee, so, in edit mode you should slightly bend the knee in the direction you want it to go and check that there is not too much angle between the two bones in directions you dont want it to go.
    Also for other problems, when in pose mode, if you go in "Data" > "Viewport display" you can check "Axes" in order to see if your bones are oriented correctly at first,.
    Make sure to not activate the axes from the "Object property" instead of "Data property'' otherwise it will show you the transform of the entire rig but on each bone, wich can be misleading.
    Depending on how your rig is setup you may not have to "roll" the bone after adding the pole to the "IK constraint" or roll it with another value than -90°, the objective is simply to get the leg in the same position than before.
    If the leg goes "Brr Minecraft" when lifting it, check that the pole (wich is controling the direction in wich the knee is going) does not pass behind the knee or anywhere you dont want the knee to point at, puting the pole a bit more forward in edit mode can help preventing this.

      The knees still won't bend, it's still stiff as a pole, no matter where I put the pole, the legs just don't bend.

    For tail you can just select move by individual origins and select it all to move it easily

    Hi! For those of you who have had your leg rotated, the solution is the following: when you are in Pose Mode, you have to enable the rotation box and set it to 0.010. At least for me, it made the leg not break and respect the natural position.

    I tried to do the IK working and then it's becoming a mess, the POLE and IK are going absolute seizures as everytime I move one bone

      It depends if 1 your mess is to complex, it wont work, 2 you did something wrong, but if you did it right it will work. Just try tweaking stuff

    When adding the Constraint on the other legs, some constraint is made between the right leg(the one that got the new constraint after the left leg) and the root of the model. So when i move the right leg it moves the rest of model too instead of just the legs ?

    Is it the same method for arms and torso, i've been looking at another model. || One im working on is a different model made by the same creator, but the one i'm looking at was updated with Ik bones while the one i'm working with dosnt have it... been trying to learn how to do it my self..||

    can i just ask what purpose the pole serves, why do you need a pole on the legs but not the tail?

      Knee should follow the pole target so you don't get bending on the wrong side. Tail usually bends in all directions so you don't need a pole.

    When I pull the controller all the way back, my models legs decide to snap themselves like pencils to turn all the way around, I also found that for some reason, then -90 on the left leg would turn the foot to the left, and -90 on the right leg would do the right so his feet were sideways, 0 for left and 180 for right was the only way to fix this, what went wrong?

      Hey, so it's been a long time but I found the answer for the 1st problem. Basically, it's because the pole bone (the one on the knee) is the one that determines where the leg/knee is facing. When you move the IK bone (in the ankle) back, since the pole bone is parented to it, it goes behind the leg. So the easiest solution is to bring the pole bone forward again, just drag it forward to the knee and boom, that's pretty much it!
      Also, I'm not sure about the second problem, but it might be because of your bone's orientations. My model is also messed up, I had to put something like -16° for the left one, but honestly, I don't think it matters TOO much as long as you don't purposely try to break it

    I set it up correctly, but I'm have a problem where it caused the leg and foot bone to be rotated the wrong way when I set it to -90. Is there any way to fix that?

      She's orientating it by -90°, but it dont have to be the same for you, depending of your actual rig you may not need to rotate it, or simply rotate it with a differente value, the objective is simply to get the foot in the same position than before :)

    Hello. I have a question glad if anybody can reply sooner to me. Is it possible to this IK legs set up to create a simple walking animation? Avoiding to use the rig that i dont use personally?

      Well I don't really understand you question. If your asking if you can make a walking animation with the IK setup, yes you can. But if you asking if the IK has a walking animation, No you have to make it yourself. Hope this helps :)

      The pole bone is here to tell in wich direction the articulation is supposed to bend, it also serve as a control to orientate the knee :)

      Make sure you are in bone constraints, not object constraints.

    Select the bone, clear the parent and it does not work. Typical blender.
