Really? I didn't know that Yo-kai watch on the 3ds was released before 1996. Pokémon was here LONG before Yo-kai Watch. I am a fan of both series, and I do think Yo-kai watch should be recognized as it's own game, bot Pokémon was here first, that's just a fact.

Cool! Glad Level-5 is continuing to bring these previously Japan-exclusive games over here, they're a lot of fun.
(And to everyone demonizing YKW for a third version, Pokemon's been doing the same thing for two decades, and Fire Emblem even did the same thing recently. The only reason you care is because you think the series is a Pokemon rip-off, despite the fact that anyone who plays it would know that's far from the truth. If it was, would we start calling Smash Bros a Street Fighter rip-off? They're both Fighters, after all! Mario and Kirby? Both platformers! Pokemon and Yo-kai Watch are the same genre, but go about it in vastly different ways.)
Also, Yo-kai Watch isn't dead. You just don't like it.

YoYoshi MK I actually thought as Yo-kai watch 1 came first out in Germany that it was a ripoff until I decided to play it and realized it was completely different

PKM DIGIMON and SMT fan and i havent played yoki watch i didnt like its monster design but its slowly growing on me.
Definitely a day 1 purchase for me I absolutely love Yo-Kai Watch. I still need to beat Fleshy Souls before this comes out, but I'm up for the challenge.

I will always prefer Pokémon because I grew up playing it but I'm still very open minded to other games like Yo-Kai Watch.
I had no clue Yo-Kai Watch existed until I saw a TH-camr named MunchingOrange play the English demo of the first Yo-Kai Watch game. I said to myself "this actually looks pretty interesting" so I waited for the full game to come out and I bought it. Soon enough, I was hooked and I wanted more.

People compare too much! Not many people give this game a chance. Everyone compares to other popular games and franchises. Although, it seems to be like other games like Pokémon, most of those people who compare didn't play the whole game. They just read about it, watched trailers, or played a bit of the demo but pushed it away too soon I think Yo Kai watch should keep trying and come up with even more ideas. Well, if this is not your type of game, you're able to like what suits you the most. Me personally, I love the yo Kai watch franchise and it's great in its own way. Although people are a bit disappointed with The gameplay and the designs, it doesn't have to be better than Pokémon quality. This game is new and has its own community and has a level demographic. I'd say give it a chance, back off or decide what suits you

I only want to say something. In my opinion, designs of the pokemons are much better and the pokemon universe is bigger and amazing, but... I like yokai watch too! They are very different!! The Type of battle is so much fun, the games are much longer and quests and bosses are harder, a lot of harder. You can't compare Kali Mera, or Caldewolk (bosses of the game) with any pokemon. I can say that win the pokemon league is much easier than win ONE boss of the yokai universe, and yokai watch 2 has a lot of bosses. At least 50, and there are some bosses that are veeeeeeeeery hard.
Please, before speak, try the game. I was a yokai watch hater too, but I tried it and is so good. Do it.

sonic7270 well, games like red and blue came with different Pokémon so that would encourage trading, and then after about a year, they would release a sister version in this case Pokémon yellow because the sister versions gave the opportunity for improvement
