It's crazy how much better the graphics in 3ds games got over the years.
Well, this game uses a lot of the same assets and engine as the first game, which was released in Japan way back in 2013.
Ha ha, Jibanyan is riding Chocobo from the Final Fantasy games as part of his alternate forms. Yokai Watch is a great franchise.

I love that you can't even find this in stores.. It took me 3 gamestops, 1 Walmart and finally at BestBuy I found a copy after a week of searching since it launched

Ouch. They axed Sangokushi for placing all these Yo-kai in the third game with other means.
I always thought that the yo kai watch series is similar to the pokemon seried, but Its not at all. So I dont get why everyone seems to compare it to pokemon here in the comment section. Both are fine games
Because the majority of fans in the Pokemon community are supremacist to games that has monster catching aspects.
JPlayer- Games and Plush As a Pokemon fan I 100% agree with you. All the salty fans keep attacking other monster collecting games and call it a Pokemon ripoff, while every one of these games has their own unique style of gameplay (except pre reboot Robopon but we do not talk about that).
Ikr and yo kai watch does more better at some stuff than pokemon.The story is better and then after you complete the game there is so much to do.

I have looked everywhere from EB games to Walmart. I can’t find this game anywhere. This is so sad as Yokai Watch is such a great series and deserves more love and recognition.

Who wants to talk about murders! I use there website to do that for me it’s EB games Canadian it’s never stock no where it was once but only at 3 places and they were quite far
Oof, okay that's a problem. I think you can ask them to ship the game because I remember a Digimon game I was looking for was out of stock and I asked the employee for the game. They'll ship it for you, but of course it'll take a couple of days for it to come.
Ikr none of my local stores stocked it when it released and even now Meijer of all places only has 2 copies....

Yokai Watch 4 is already confirmed for the Switch, if you didn't know.
As was stated, Yokai Watch 4 will be on switch. The combat also looks way different. More like Ni No Kuni.

_Yo-kai Watch 4_ has had its release delayed in Japan though. It will be a long while before it gets localised for other markets.

For those who trying to buy the physical version is no longer available. It can be only bought digitally. Don't bother searching this game in stores. The only way to get physical is when someone selling it thru ebay.

I have just finished main storyline. The game was great, but YW2 got better storyline in my opinion
Quick question. Does it matter which side you choose (sushi or tempura)? I wanna be able to get both Darkyubi and Illuminoct, but I have to chose either or for them?
@@ladykitsunetama8022 Hmm... According to someone on the internet, yeah, you still have to choose one of them. But it doesn't depend on Sushi or Tempura at first part, but rather, the Team Leader during the latter part of the story. You know, like how in YW2 Psychic, you can choose 1 of the 2 versions at first, but later, you can still choose 1 of the generals to support
Oh, but if I remember it right, you don't choose between Sushi or Tempura at all... Only 1 time before the USA's "Komasan Brothers" side quest, but I don't know what it actually does

I just check, that is for either KK brother sidequest (Sushi) or Tomnyan sidequest (Tempura). But on wikia site, they say that even if you choose Sushi, you can still do a Tomnyan sidequest later on (don't know if they are the same), so I suppose the same apply to KK brother (even though they haven't mentioned anything on wikia... yet). But for the safe side, maybe you should choose Sushi in that
3 is cool, but I want english version for 4 when release.
I hope they don't take 2 years to release it here.
I feel like they're trying to have this localization process a little more faster, because this game is suppose to have 3 versions (Tempura, Sushi, and Sukiyaki) but instead they released one game that basically has all 3 combined. It's possible that we might not get Sangokushi or even Blasters 2 because many people are abandoning their 3DS for the Switch.

Final Fantasy Yo-Kai but no Dragon Quest Yo-Kai? Man and here I thought I knew Level-5...
I think that's less Level-5 and more Square. You know how stingy they are, look at Cloud and Midgar in smash and how it only has 2 songs, not even remixed. No spirits either.

Akira Toryiama designed the Dragon Quest characters and Yo-Kai Watch has a distinct lack of spiky haired boys roughly looking between the ages of 10 and 16, western style dragons, middle aged men with glorious moustaches (ok so that's mostly just Morrie and Hercule), teenage girls roughly around 13-16 years old with sexy outfits (why do you do this to us Toriyama?) and Yo-Kai that resemble namekians (ok maybe this is like three to six specific monsters in Dragon Quest but still).
I like this game more. It has more than 700 yo kais. Awsome!!!!

No, this is actually the improved version.
It was three versions in Japan, but they combined them all into one for localization.

Well that's because you saw a whole bunch of areas from this game, while all you saw from the Pokemon direct was a couple towns and a region map.

Dezzebot wahe yes but in Yokai watch basically the entire game is set in just a few areas and towns, so obviously that one town will be entirely fleshed out and stuff. In Pokemon, you get to explore an ENTIRE REGION, but in order for the game to run a steady pace they had to scale down the individual towns.
Nintendo, release this series on Switch here in the US and I will pay you handsomely for it.

Got this for Christmas but my 3ds broke x0x (I'm European)
OMG! I relate cuz my 3DS broke and I have to get a new one! However I got YW3 anyways cuz I just needed to claim it and have it in my life XD
I like how well the third games battle system evokes mega man battle network.
I hope there will be in Switch edition as well.

@@MrCrow-tl5tv I played 1 and 2, and I just sold my 3DS last year. I don't blame them, I believe the game development for the 3rd Yokai watch had begun way before the Switch announcement. So sad though 😭😭😭. I think the game mechanics won't work in Switch, accept in 3DS, plus the graphic too, it's either they going to make the 4th series on switch, or they are going to do the remake from 1, 2 and 3 first.

My save file data got corrupted so I can't even finish it..... Sigh. I was nearly 40 hrs in it. Tbh but yk1 appealed to me more than ykw3. Why cause I straight up played the entire game 2 times. First Nate than Katie

@@eepysleepybat I'll admit yes, I made that comment without seeing the whole thing, but the QR code was still only for 1 of the 3 shown in that segment, unless it includes the other 2 not pictured as well.
they're gonna release an official code eventually, if your impatient find a non official one save before using it though or u might get permanently locked out of those yo kai (that might just be a myth)
