The Yo-kai Watch games are massively underrated games, that's a shame, this game series are such of a pretty fun games in my opinion and needs more attention. Also, I want Jibanyan in Super Smash Bros Ultimate as a DLC character.
OMG I also want him in smash! He was one of the highest voted characters in the smash ballot, even if it’s just like a 2 percent of all votes

As a Pokémon fan, I'd like to see the Yo-kai Watch and Pokémon universes collide at some point. A game in the vein of Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright would look very interesting.

yeah but alot of yo kai are just recolors and the first 3 pokemon game where on handhelds much weaker than the 3ds so they couldn't make that many pokemon
I think it’s cause that yo Kai watch 3 is on the 3DS and Pokémon gen 3 was on the GBA
People dont understand the recolors have different stat values and movesets
Not to mention the Inazuma Eleven series that has just as many characters, all with unique designs, shillouettes, and movesets. Most of the scout character designs arent as nice to look at, but they're all unique with their own charm. Theres probably a couple thousand of them at this point.
I genuinely cried when this game was announced and I still love this game with all my heart.

I don't like how ppl complain that this is a Pokémon ripoff. Monster collecting games should be allowed to exist without being shamed by Pokémon fans. If you ever played yokai watch u know its good. Plus this game has so much more content in it than any pokemon game ever. And great characters, including the yokai

There's a few Japanese exclusive mon RPG games like Chocovaders that took elements from that series so that's not surprising.
I want to be in a society where this game isn’t always being compared to Pokemon. I’m tired yo kai watch being called a Pokemon rip-off. About 99.% of people who say that yo kai watch is a Pokemon ripoff haven’t even played yo kai watch. To me, Pokemon is getting old and it is becoming harder to keep it alive. Yet yo kai watch has so much potential. I hope that yo kai watch becomes as popular as Pokemon. Pokemon is impressive for being alive for 20+ years but Pokemon is becoming stale. Some argue that yo kai watch is lazy yet Pokemon came out in a time where gaming was just beginning. Also people don’t like how yo kai watch has recolored versions of similar looking yo kai but there is more to yo kai watch than Pokemon. BUT STOP COMPARING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT GAMES FROM COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FRANCHISES! IT RUINS THE FUN!

I actually agree with this, I mean look at yokai watch 4 which had way less development time for switch but pokemon sword and shield was just a big overhyped disappointment
Pokemon is literally the same thing every time with better graphics and one new fighting mechanic and that’s all. For example the dynamaxing in sword and shield. Other than that it feels like every other Pokémon game.
Blame the boomers that simp wayyy too much on Pokemon.
If anything Yo-Kai Watch is more like a kid friendly version of Persona.

I will settle with next year because it usually takes them 3 years to localize yo Kai watch so I will consider myself lucky if it comes out next year

I heard that they were aiming for a worldwide release. That's why we are getting only the third version of Yo-kai Watch 3.
I just discovered Yokai watch early this year and I swear from all the Pokemon I've played that I enjoy it more even the adventure. It feels like a breath of fresh air from the monotony that I felt in all the Pokemon games that I had played with
Crazy to think that Nintendo was still making and publishing 3DS games just 4 years ago and now the eShop is already closed

My theory is that the comments got nuked cuz the video was marked as "for kids", which means that nintendo acknowledged this games existence, which must mean that Busters 2 will be at e3 this year

@ZuSwakia Some other Yokai watch trailers were marked as "made for kids", and I believe when it isn't set as "not made for kids" fast enough, the previous youtube comments are deleted.
In other words, Nintendo went and enabled comments on a 2-year-old video for no reason. The fact that they even remembered this video could be considered good news...

Tbh i prefer yokai watch than pokemon just a bit more for the reason being nate does not enslave his friends to me the idea of making friends with yokai is smart and i like the little jokes in the game to it adds character not only thay yokai whatch has itz sad moments too as pokemon does

It is really hard to explain why I prefer Yo-Kai Watch 2 than Pokemon Sun and Moon. I played both games and Yo-Kai Watch 2 felt more adventurous and had a lot of interesting features with more goals to try out. Looking forward to play the third soon.

Gian Zambrana his old voice is perfect, it perfectly suits his character being goofy most of the time but it can be somewhat creepy and unsettling at times.
oh boy, this is surely the ultimate experience. it is filled of tons of things to do, and yet it keep surprising me with every new episode. gteat game :) plus smart move merging the "two versions" in one here. XD

This game is underrated. In the west at least, but god dang the game is good specially 3.
This game was so understocked it's ridiculous. Physical copies go for crazy money online. And now that games are not releasing on 3ds anymore and the series has lost popularity, it seems we will never have a restock.
This is my most anticipated game that no one is talking about what with RE2 and KH3 around the corner. They're missing out.

Pokemon Sword and Shield (22 hours post game included) Yo-kai Watch 3 (50 hours post game not included). You can guess that I had a lot more fun with Yo-kai Watch 3, because this game have real optional content (Optional area/side quest/boss fight, etc).
Finallllllly it feels like it's taken forever for the game to come out in America but I'm so glad it's finally almost here!!
I am surprised this hasn’t picked up more in the States, never played but that was impressive. I’d be sold if I thought I could genuinely play through a 3ds game. I loved it for years but I think I will just hope for the fourth game to be localized.

Well, I might give the Yo-Kai games another go. I played the first one on a recommendation from a friend on day one. After that, I was kinda hooked and was excited to play the sequel a few months later. But afterwards, I kinda gave up on the series because of the lack of merch and other products to keep me interested in the series. I may also pick up yo-kai busters as well just because it's another game that took a while to reach the US.
