5:36 From what I've heard, bread is actually _shockingly_ hard to make, at least compared to what you would think goes into it, and if you don't know what you're doing it can make a _big_ mess, so that's one reason you might ban someone from making bread: they're not good at it and you don't want to deal with the aftermath.
That said, it doesn't _sound_ like that's the case here. If that were the case, they wouldn't be able to just hide it in their room, they'd at least need to do a lot of clean up as well. Perhaps the mother is tiered of having to keep buying new ingredients because they keep getting used up in bread.

You know, that teenage girl from the 1930’s might actually still be alive. It’s less than a 1% chance at this point, but still possible. She would be like 110 or something now, but there are a few women older than that. So it’s possible.
If not for covid, a great-great aunt
of mine might still be alive. Born in 1921, died of covid aged 100 in a retirement facility (no chronic illness beyond arthritis) full of science denying staff and family of other residents. Her siblings died at 99, 96, 90, 87, 72 (cancer) and 28 (TB) and thier mom had 1 miscarriage. One of her nephews is now 96 (healthy except for arthritis and deaf as a stump), and 3 more in thier 80s, also no major chronic issues)

Wow! That is an amazing blood line you are apart of! If my grandmother hadn't died in 2021 then she would be 92 this year, October 27th 1932. (However her siblings lived well into their 80s, the women living to around 88 and the men living to around 85.) Hope you have a long & happy life.
