I have a question from you. My wife was able to get her car added to her Toyota app but I cannot. I do not want to reset the settings and she doesn't want me to either lol. Is there a way to get this code to show without having to reset so I can just add the car to my app?
The QR code is only used to attach the car to an owner's account. There is only one owner's account per vehicle so it will never show a QR code once it is associated with an account. If you want to share an owner's account, I have a video on how to do that here: th-cam.com/video/mTYrUlISbSI/w-d-xo.html
Hi Steve we did this reset, and it says system reset completed but we don’t see the blue screen/welcome, we also don’t have the remote connect under the apps, how can we reinstall this app?
I setup my Toyota App and connected two bluetooth phones to Android Auto. But the Multimedia system always says no Profiles, or No Profiles Detected. Something like that. I'm never going to use the remote features and just want each phone to be automagically detected when the car is started. How do I do that?
Hi Steve! Hope you see this. I had followed this and worked perfectly until I messed something up and now my Toyota Tundra is stuck in guest mode (no other profiles just guest mode) and no reset is working. How can I fix this?
I did do a video on this but the fact that the reset doesn’t work tells me something else is going on. I suspect that your Bluetooth is off. That world gray out the reset and wouldn’t show your profile. Here’s the video on refer to guest mode: th-cam.com/video/1GpqtW04Q2g/w-d-xo.htmlsi=_UgvoXiv8DZcOi5Y

Hi Steve! I am having troubles activating Toyota Connected Services on my Toyota Corolla Touring Sports (2023). Maybe you can help me out here. I am based in Germany. The issue is: activation process goes in a loop in the app --> I am able to accept the data protection/processing conditions --> Screen comes up: that the activation of the connected services will take 24 hrs. Even after one week the connected services haven't been activated and when I open the MyT app again, it asks me to accept the data protection/processing guidelines for connected services again i.e. connected services have not been activated yet in the first place. Do you happen to have any troubleshoot advice?
Yikes. This might require a call to Toyota of Europe's Brand Engagement Center. I don't have a number for that but it is likely in your owner's manual somewhere. Before you do that, try this: Delete the app from your phone completely. Reinstall it and sign in. Do the factory reset procedure I describe here and enroll using the QR code. Don't enroll with the VIN as that sometimes is glitchy. Agree to all data consents (again) and make sure you get to the screen that says "finish enrollment." The screen on your phone may not show it is active at first but within 5 minutes, you should be able to refresh the screen and it should show up. If it doesn't, call Toyota or see your dealer. Wish I could be of more help. The European app is nearly identical to the US not I believe there are subtle differences so I hope this works.
My Rav4 2023 (belgium model and i live in France) asked for a long time (many months) to validate the conditions of use on the system screen. I arrived in guest mode each time. I had to enter my password to activated my profile. One day i used the Chrome browser to go to my customer account. I did some manipulations and i got menus that appeared on the screen that i had never seen in Firefox. It was to validate user conditions. I validated and when i returned to MyT, i also had conditions to validate. Since then, my system recognizes my phone and activates my profile directly. I no longer have to validate the conditions each time i start, or enter my password to activate my profile.
Hi Steve. We have a Rav 4 2023 we bought in October. My partner did some kind of reset and now we are stuck on the purple initial screen that has that friendly button that tells you to contact your dealer. I also got emails from Toyota and AT&T that my plans have been cancelled. Now, despite doing system reset and personal info reset, I can’t get the QR code to come back. Not sure what else to do.
Look at the overhead console. If the light is green, you’re good and we can find a solution. If there is no light, it means somebody canceled the service ands declined the data consent. Toyota turned off the data control module so you can’t connect until you call Toyota and tell them you want to agree to the data consents and restart your trial. The number in the US is 800-331-4331. You can also test it by pressing the SOS button.
Thank you! We called Toyota and 30 minutes later on the phone, they say it's fixed. We need to wait 48 hours, but they say it should be fixed.@@TrainerSteveClifford

I can't get the QR code to come up to bring me back to remote access because I tried to get my husband to put a profile on for the same car. Is there a trick to this without having to reset everything?
Profiles and accounts are two very different things. You can have several profiles associated with the car but only one account linking. If you both want access to the remote features, there is a work-around but the design of the app is to only have one person with full access.
