Not without modifying your behavior (I had the same issue and have sent many messages to Toyota about it), this system is fundamentally broken. Despite what the documentation says, you MUST link a key in order to load a profile automatically, so each driver needs to have their own key. It also means anyone with a key fob has access to the personal information you let the system upload from your phone (because your profile will automatically load). Ideally, the car would use your phone or facial recognition to load a profile, then load the guest profile if a recognized driver is not found (which is how the misleading text in the owners manuals is framed). Unfortunately, there was very little research and actual development that went into this and the rest of the Toyota software, and their "customer service" just spews back copy/paste responses from various manuals.
Our Toyota tech person set up the profiles in the Multimedia System for my wife and myself. When we get into the vehicle my profile is recognized. We tried to change to my wife's profile, but the system did not recognize her pin number. Can we reset her pin number.
my wife is set as a primary driver. the navigation is not set up yet. i create my account in the car and linked to the toyota app. i tried to set up the navigation while logged in with my account, but it would not allow me. only primary driver can do it. i tried to find how to switch my account to primary (i know my wife's pin too) and i cant do it. i cant use the navigation. what a load of BS.
Same here. I can't use navigation. Any address search finds no result. It's my dad's car and he's out of state with his phone. What a BS system. I can't beleive Toyota did this.
Now I can't even switch to secondary driver or guest mode. Can't delete primary driver either. This is buggy & false design. Why do I need to always carry a phone to drive!!!
Hi, Abdullah. Yes! We suggest reaching out to a local Toyota dealership to get detailed information regarding inventory availability and options. To learn more, be sure to visit: www.toyota.com/corollahybrid/
I wish you would have kept the previous system. In my '22 I liked how you could customize the screen with up to 4 areas and it would start there every time I got in the car, in the '23 all I get is the subscribe to navigation screen (you even show that in this video), or a full screen of radio with useless space. I also get annoying popups about android auto not connecting, or time out. But I found a solution, delete all phones profiles and go to settings>display and turn it off and just don't use it at all. The permanent solution is replacing it with an aftermarket radio.
I'm the primary driver in my car connected through My T and every time I get in the car I have to load my profile. Every time I have the msg "no profile loaded". Is this how is supposed to function?

I have the premium audio package on a 2023 Rav4 and when I go into personal info the link key option does not appear. Any solution to this? It is extremely annoying having to go into settings, click on my name and enter my pin number every time I start my vehicle.
@@andreascharalambous-sg4jk Unlike Toyota USA, I will respond to your question. Unfortunately, no, nothing has been fixed yet. So, every time I get into my vehicle, with my fab, I choose to just hit the dismiss button and remain in guest mode rather than enter my pin to go into my profile.
I love everything but the infotainment system. For someone who is only 5'2" the screen impedes my view even with my driver's seat elevated as high as it will go. They should have placed it into the dashboard. I love everything else, I just wish maybe they gave you the ability to lower it, or fold it down or something! Anyone else having this problem? Is there any way I can take it back and try and get toyota to get a smaller screen?

I just bought a 25 corolla. It won't even bring up a QR code or a pin for me to link the app to my car. It's pretty disappointing. My subscription time frame is still being used even though I'm unable to use these functions. I called toyota and went to the dealer. They all say they aren't sure what the issue is.. Like what? It's a brand new car. You can't do anything to fix a malfunctioning unit? Terrible.

Hi, Joshua! The primary profile will be tied to whoever the vehicle is registered to through the Toyota App which will take priority. You can also create two alternate profiles that can be switched between at any time.
Is there a real life specific example that anyone can tell me how is this "profile this and profile that" stuff useful? My wife and I both drive the car, I don't think we ran into scenario where we thought it would be useful.
@@klizacloco thanks. Among those, setting the seats position is a useful thing. I didn't know it could do that. However we chose to use just one key. Extra button push is all it takes.
totally worthless to someone that has a phone older than a couple years, doesn't work, WHY WHY is it necessary to have a new smartphone to set up your radio, THIS IS INSANE and not quality !!!
Somehow when the salesperson was setting up the primary driver profile on our 2023 RAV XSE HYBRID, he put in my husband as the primary driver but entered my phone as the primary phone. We don’t know how to fix this problem and my phone connects automatically when we’re in the car. Kindova mess.

And be sure to hold your mouth this way. Sorry, I digress... Why, why, WHY does setting it up have SO many steps with very little (or no) explanation what the steps are actually doing? And then of course, the app doesn't look quite like the video because the rent-a-kid programmers have changed it. And I'm STILL waiting for my second key!

Is it possible to switch between profiles saved to the car without requiring the pin? It's a bit of a pain as my wife and i take turns driving
Did you ever find the answer? I am trying to figure it out myself.
I'm looking into this as well. My husband as the primary driver doesn't have a pin, so I think it is possible.

Still no option in my 23 RAV4. Even with having two driver profiles it was causing havoc on the android auto connectivity.
How can I do all this without a smart phone?
i think pair the keyfob with profile … its in this video
