    Nice work, we know it works because the technology in it is tested to the extreme already. The past 100 years I believe. I like the idea of the tiny form factor the printer only needs to be big enough to print jewelry. This does just that. Probably better than the bigger brands.

    once you get into 3d printing, you will want to get bigger and bigger!
    i can see the market for this is around 10 year-olds. Parents want to introduce the tech to kids.
    Can it use silicone button? that "click" sound is irritating.

    • @maximvdw
      @maximvdw ปีที่แล้ว

      Trust me, you do not want a 10 year old to play with resin. Video is showing super unsafe practices. This is messy and harmful without proper care. UV resin has toxic fumes, can cause allergic reactions that can make your skin more sensitive to other allergies and it can cause permanent damage to eyes and lungs. Wear protection.

      @@marcus1202 If reviewers had to buy every printer they reviewed, there wouldn’t be many reviewers around because they usually don’t make enough money from their reviews to afford buying multiple new printers per month.
      And supplying free printers to reviewers is a good marketing strategy as it makes more people aware of the printer and creates trust in the brand by having independent reviews.That’s part of the reason why most big 3d printer companies supply their new printers to a lot of reviewers.
      It’s more effective and a lot cheaper than regular marketing.
      When a company brings out a new printer and doesn’t supply any to reviewers, it’s usually a sign that they have a bad marketing strategy or that they are afraid of getting honest reviews.
      But in this case I give them the benefit of the doubt as they subscribe to the open source idea and have posted pictures that at least indicate that they already have invested in the production of the bases, covers and parts of the motion system. Maybe they will supply printers to reviewers once they shipped out all the kickstarter printers and start to sell them on their onlineshop.

    • @marcus1202
      @marcus1202 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @yourlocaltoad5102 Hopefully they don't give away anything to anyone and they capitalize on their product by making money not donating to charity for views online. I hope they hold strong and not give in to the "I want free stuff" crowd. Which is what youtube reviewers are to me beggers. Review and give it back, and if you like it and want to keep it pay me. This is America nothing is free. If their broke then they should review dollar store items.

    In terms of value it's awful machine. but as a portable concept its neat. Have only one question why they wasn't able to put USB connector? There is definitely enough space, is it was beneficial from board stand point? then wy not to use that opportunity with mobile slicers in mind?) Sounds like perfect marketing opportunity as to show fully portable setup.

      It comes down to how you'll use it. I can see this as something that would be a good classroom tool, good for whatchmakers who need a part that hasn't been produced in 90 years, someone who doesn't need a large form factor printer or doesn't have the space for it. It comes with a satchel it seems so I'd also assume travel application is also viable, so you could print a vault key while spying abroad in Dubai for Interpol. But that's only if his Kickstarter isnt bullshit.
