320x240 is a huge dealbreaker. At $119.99, you should get at least a 2k screen on it. For $50 more you can get a full-scale resin printer with a 4k resolution from Anycubic.
I find the 320 x 240 a bit misleading... When compared to most non-Mono LCD printers, TinyMaker actually puts out a better resolution than Sonic Phrozen and Elegoo Mars printers... it just lacks the build volume. When I ran the resolution into their build volumes, the Phrozen and Mars came in at 0.12 mm per pixel and TinyMaker came in at 0.09 mm per pixel. Granted I am comparing the non 2k / 4k / 8k / etc versions of the printers... At 2k, the resolution for many of the printers I compared averaged about 0.05 mm per pixel.

If the screen had more resolution this printer would be perfect for jewelers, I know a guy that designs rings and prints them in resin to make a mold, and ends using a tiny fraction of the build plate on his elegoo mars.
Honestly I agree. the ONLY reason I want a resin printer is to print... tiny parts. I don't NEED a huge build volume. I want something like this but with like a 2k screen. (That may be a bit much... but basically the same pixel density as a "normal" resin printer with a 4k or 8k screen.)
That vat cover makes me wish larger printers like the elegoo saturn 4 ultra would make a cover like that as well, especially if the make it out of solid material so that if you plan on not printing anything for a while you can cover the vat so both dust, uv light and hair will not contaminate the resin

Hey @Uncle Jessy . I LOVE your videos! However, I did take a SMALL issue with one thing. 4:40 I find those numbers to be a bit misleading... 320 x 240 does seem like a super low resolution, especially when you compare it to 2k, 4k, 8k and nth K resolutions. But if you break that down into their build volumes, then something interesting happens. 4k Mono LCD printers: apx 0.02 mm per pixel 2k Mono LCD printers: apx 0.05 mm per pixel "Standard" LCD printers (non-Mono): 0.12 mm per pixel TinyMaker's resolution: 0.09 mm per pixel That would put TinyMaker above typical LCD printers, such as the Sonic Phrozen, and non-Mono LCD Elegoo Mars 3D Printers. And since it is also a non-Mono LCD, those would be a better comparison for quality of prints.
for 100 its okay ish. Its extremely small tho lol. U can get a used mars printer from elegoo for like 80 bucks. no wash and cure tho. But its portable and u can power it with a powerbank so its pretty cool.
This would be cool if you do models or toys at 1/12 scale like clone trooper kits. I would definitely get that, seeing as most kits come with small grenades and helmets and you don't need much resin like if you're using a normal resin printer
As someone who mainly uses my 3d printer for bits, basesm and other small accessories for my mini's this looks like a great solution I can use to supplument my main 3d printer. I wonder what the retail cost / quality is going to wind up being
I am glad you got yours! I cannot wait for mine to arrive, I forgot to grab the carry case so I am planning on adding it during the survey! Thanks for the video!
Just found out about it. I have an FDM already but I dont have the space for another one, plus I have only a single room that can be ventilated properly. Does my train of though of: Smaller printer- smaller builds-less toxic s***, ergo a big window and an air hood can work?
I thought that too, but when compared to most non-Mono LCD printers, TinyMaker actually puts out a better resolution than Sonic Phrozen and Elegoo Mars printers... it just lacks the build volume. So, this could be really useful for people who design miniatures or small objects and want a quick little test-print station right nest to the workstation, instead of over in the print room. Or at conventions to run off customs or made to order designs. The low res would hurt it for a lot of uses though, if they packed like a 4K screen into this lil guy it would probably be the finest resolution resin printer on the market.
@@DonsArtnGames print volume for 1, print speeds reason 2, realistic usages of the printer itself. Well, I think this might be a perfect starter Resin 3D printer for me. One perk even comes with a little wash and cure station free with it. And this video came out in May, so I personally feel lucky that there's 17 left...16.
It's the same price as what I've paid for my Elegoo Mars 2 a few years back. That one has a mono screen, higher resolution and prints 10 times faster. The footprint is maybe 3 times that of this mini printer but I don't see why you'd need anything that small. The resin bottles take up more space than the printer.
I want a resin printer but i dont want a full size one, just one strictly for miniatures. This might actually be perfect. Just worried about the print quality though
It's definitely a bit more on the niche size, but if you are not a serious resin 3d printer or just a beginner who doesn't have a lot of space or money to dedicate for this, then it's great. I REALLY like the super portability and that it has a vat cover for transporting. I can't wait to receive mine and have already started sculpting a bunch of minis to get started.

It's soo stinking cute 😂❤ I think this little printer would be perfect for like creating things like tiny simple necklace charms or earrings or all things like that where getting a huge one doesn't really justify it.

Yeah me too. Unfortunately all I have on hand is rapid resin for fast printers which apparently doesnt work well on this. Going to order up some standard grey resin and test it out more
If getting into resin, do lots of research. You need many other tools for processing resin. Probably not great for a beginner, other commitments talk about other cheap options. This seems more like a novelty.

This looks so good for claymation, stop motion and other projects for small art project. I don't want to invest into a normal/large machine for tiny stuff. I don't think i would ever make stuff with the normal machines.
It's interesting. I've been interested in getting a 3-D printer for a while, but the amount of space they take up never appealed to me. I mostly want to make action figure parts and accessories. This seems about the right size for that.

This is the kinda thing id have printing in my car plugged into the cigarette lighter with the windows cracked 20 years from now cuz i need a comb that day or somethin trivial lol
We ordered one from Kickstarter to print out minis for a diorama project - can't wait! xoxo
will be a fun little machine
Make sure you read all about the dangers of resin. It’s much more serious than people expect.
@@jaredf6205 but not as bad as many would lead you to believe... Simply put, just be careful about how you handle it.
Perfect for small scale diecast items or dioramas
Hey @Uncle Jessy . I LOVE your videos!
However, I did take a SMALL issue with one thing.
4:40 I find those numbers to be a bit misleading... 320 x 240 does seem like a super low resolution, especially when you compare it to 2k, 4k, 8k and nth K resolutions.
But if you break that down into their build volumes, then something interesting happens.
4k Mono LCD printers: apx 0.02 mm per pixel
2k Mono LCD printers: apx 0.05 mm per pixel
"Standard" LCD printers (non-Mono): 0.12 mm per pixel
TinyMaker's resolution: 0.09 mm per pixel
That would put TinyMaker above typical LCD printers, such as the Sonic Phrozen, and non-Mono LCD Elegoo Mars 3D Printers.
And since it is also a non-Mono LCD, those would be a better comparison for quality of prints.
If the screen had a better resolution so the layer height could reach “normal” resin print quality, I would have bought it
OMG...It even has a mini pallet for IT'S SOOOOO CUTE 😍😍😍😍😍
this is just perfect size for my desk.. for small art like jewellery
WIth this small of resin volume would you say its safe to print without much ventilation? Would an open window be enough?
for 100 its okay ish. Its extremely small tho lol. U can get a used mars printer from elegoo for like 80 bucks. no wash and cure tho. But its portable and u can power it with a powerbank so its pretty cool.
Yeah I would still recommend an older Mars or Photon as a first printer. Anything Mono screen over something like this. But still pretty friggin fun
cant wait to print my life size figures with this
A mini mega magneto XD
I lack the space for resin printers but I wonder if the would be just perfect for printing 6 inch figure heads.
This would be cool if you do models or toys at 1/12 scale like clone trooper kits. I would definitely get that, seeing as most kits come with small grenades and helmets and you don't need much resin like if you're using a normal resin printer
Those cheap blue snippers we all got with our ender 3s brought a smile to my face.
This looks really cool for RPG Minis!
Oh wow! I am relieved to see they seem to be following through.
the paxkaging is so good!
As someone who mainly uses my 3d printer for bits, basesm and other small accessories for my mini's this looks like a great solution I can use to supplument my main 3d printer.
I wonder what the retail cost / quality is going to wind up being
i don't remember a time where I saw a thumbnail for something and have instantly wanted it. Now I do
I am glad you got yours! I cannot wait for mine to arrive, I forgot to grab the carry case so I am planning on adding it during the survey! Thanks for the video!
yeah I cant wait for my double order to arrive with all the extra goodies.
Just found out about it. I have an FDM already but I dont have the space for another one, plus I have only a single room that can be ventilated properly. Does my train of though of: Smaller printer- smaller builds-less toxic s***, ergo a big window and an air hood can work?
For easy simple Prints, these Printers are super Handy!
Don't you mean super Pinky? The printer looked pretty small in UJ's hands
I was going to get it but 320x240 is too low. I guess I'll stick with my bbl x1c for now for minis
I thought that too, but when compared to most non-Mono LCD printers, TinyMaker actually puts out a better resolution than Sonic Phrozen and Elegoo Mars printers... it just lacks the build volume.
@@DonsArtnGames Well, I've ordered one just today while IndieGoGo is still open. They say they're starting to ship Kickstarter units in a few days.
I can imagine a jewellery maker having about 50 of these lined up producing rings and pendants for chains for lost wax casting by the boatload.
Yeah
But for the price
You could just have a full size resin printer instead
Then you would be able to make more things and bigger things
So, this could be really useful for people who design miniatures or small objects and want a quick little test-print station right nest to the workstation, instead of over in the print room. Or at conventions to run off customs or made to order designs. The low res would hurt it for a lot of uses though, if they packed like a 4K screen into this lil guy it would probably be the finest resolution resin printer on the market.
As much as I like it and love how cute it is.
100% not worth the money not gonna lie😂
Nothing wrong with that at all
What makes it not worth it to you? I'm not knocking or trolling, but I want to try and understand your perspective...
@@DonsArtnGames print volume for 1, print speeds reason 2, realistic usages of the printer itself.
Sure this is a perfect fit for someone, but i'm being realistic that it's just another 3d resin printer.
If i would to have this printer, it would be used maybe once or twice? Maybe a print on the go?
But who is gonna travel with a mini printer and resin and IPA just to print on the road?
Again like i said: it is cute and all, but let's not all forgot the main function of the printer.
@@DonsArtnGames the thing is you can often get a full-size printer (like Creality Halot One) for a very comparable price.
@@adameichler exactly my point, not really the brand i would go for but yeah exactly like you said.
Well, I think this might be a perfect starter Resin 3D printer for me. One perk even comes with a little wash and cure station free with it. And this video came out in May, so I personally feel lucky that there's 17 left...16.
That's cute. It could fit on my resin printers build plate.
Looks perfect for making push in snaps and clips for automotive restoration.
I paid $99 for a Flashforge foto 6.0
Would be the perfect thing for printing miniatures for tabletop gaming
Oh, that's just adorable 😍
I want a resin printer but i dont want a full size one, just one strictly for miniatures. This might actually be perfect. Just worried about the print quality though
Get a mars sized printer. It will work better.
@@DonsArtnGames Im a heavy FDM 3D printer maker. Ive got 4 of those, resin is more of a every now and then a miniature in resin would be nice kind of thing
@@Whos_real Yeah but thats a full size printer still. And if you add the wash and cure station will cost a lot more. I might only print 5 miniatures a month with a resin printer so a full size would be a waste for me
I love it! I need one yesterday 😭 I'll put it next to my regular size resin printer. It'll be like it's baby😂 I love tiny stuff❤
If they upped the resolution a bit to match the same density as a 4k screen, this would be really neat for people who make resin jewelry or one-of minis.
It's the tiny orange pallet for me
It's a good teaching tool, with the clear case.
resin 3d printers skills really measure resolution in different ways. pixel size or resolution per inch floor example.
It's soo stinking cute 😂❤ I think this little printer would be perfect for like creating things like tiny simple necklace charms or earrings or all things like that where getting a huge one doesn't really justify it.
That's one of the areas I plan to use it.
Because when I buy a 3d printer I am not concerned with build area and how large I can print but instead with how small my printer is??? 😅 I have 6 fdm 3d printers and the one that never gets used is the one with the smallest build area.
i feel like it’s more novelty than anything but it’s still cool and i think i’ll be heading to indigogo now😅
I wish you used grey resin so the details are more visible!
Yeah me too. Unfortunately all I have on hand is rapid resin for fast printers which apparently doesnt work well on this. Going to order up some standard grey resin and test it out more
I would love this for DND dice. And little parts for my gaming hand held.
Would this be a good first printer?
If getting into resin, do lots of research. You need many other tools for processing resin. Probably not great for a beginner, other commitments talk about other cheap options. This seems more like a novelty.
This is perfect for those quick prints that you don’t want to fill a print bed with 200ml of resin for a 15mL item.
I can already see the tiny maker as a birthday present in the children's rooms, between Ken and Barbie! 🎂 The only thing missing is UV-resin with gummy bear scent and flavor!🍭
If there isn't a giant skull and crossbones symbol on the packaging, parents won't even know that they are poisoning their children. 😮
i would love to see how the screen changes the print!
That would be a really cool little novelty gift to give a friend who is big into resin printing ^_^
I actually ordered this but had 2nd thoughts and canceled. Kind of glad I did now. It would look cool on a shelf though.
This looks so good for claymation, stop motion and other projects for small art project. I don't want to invest into a normal/large machine for tiny stuff. I don't think i would ever make stuff with the normal machines.
If you're interested in spending more time making prints than filming...
It’s finally here, still waiting for mine to arrive.
It's interesting. I've been interested in getting a 3-D printer for a while, but the amount of space they take up never appealed to me.
I mostly want to make action figure parts and accessories. This seems about the right size for that.
whats an alternative as a ‘good’ quality but still compact?
That is friggen adorable.
Ayyyyyy, I have one of those! I still need to test it!!!!!!
Bust it open!
This is perfect for miniatures
I’m a scale modeler and the biggest thing I’m making is something in 1/35 scale so this thing would actually be perfect for me if the price is right!
