I bought a tennis elbow velcro strap from the local drug store. I use it with a recharging brick as a counterweight on the top/ strap or below the tightening button at back of my headset. Now I can cup the back strap below the occipital ridge bone at the back of my skull as intended and loosen the whole thing more around my head and face. Comfy and recharges my headset!
Mainly for me it’s not the back more than it is the fact that my face droops down and my face hurts in the end. Plus while I’m playing I keep having to move my headset around so it stops hurting my face
thank you so much before i used a picture frame and slid it into the straps on the back as a counterweight but i tried the stuffed animal method and it worked like a charm great helpful video 👍
With a mix of my sensitive motion sickness and frequent migraines, playing the quest usually only lasts 25 minutes before it becomes paintful. This was a great help
Thank you, this is the vid I needed, I have to wait awhile to get a better head strap, and this game me a good workaround. (Every other video was just an ad for a strap)
Also I'm experimenting with pieces of styrofoam that I found laying around my house and that works too. It cushions the back of the headset without needing a sweatshirt, stuffed animal, or a blanket. Your tutorial gave me this idea so thx alot!
these do help but i have one problem that always appears no matter what: forehead pain. my forehead rubs against something inside of the vr headset and it makes it so painful and uncomfortable to wear.
for some reason my quest glass thingies never no mater how warm it is i never get steamy thngs on my quest for me thaths not even a problem but the bigges problem is if you have the link cable for your quest and you strap it to the back of your oculus quest the cable kinda pushes you in the head and it hurts a little and thath+ the weight of thath thing is unbarible for just one houre playing i can stand the uncomfortabillaty and the pain so does anyone know how to lessen the weigt like a lot + how to take care of thath cable
this video really sounds like you're joking but now i'm just gonna try it anyways Edit: i have this cape thing (look up the anime Umaru-chan) and it definitely reduced the pain so thanks a lot
holy shit I laughed so hard at that thumbnail, I'm over here looking for accessories adding more on top of my OG quest I already dumped $400 plus games... thanks for the ideas. my top strap busted off, side strap slider plastic cracked off, controller cracked down the seam, and my lens circle randomly fell off somehow cracked too??? First quest will just start falling apart from wear over time but damn I wish I had bought controller covers and lens protectors, oh and something that covers the side straps and face... things so janky oh and I took off the pad cut a piece of fabric/paper of some kind and put a slit on it, clip it between the pad and it blocks light peaking at the bottom nose area and fogging up the lenses
For the sweatshirt idea, you can just put the hood on like the blanket, and have the rest of the sweatshirt hanging like a cape.
Wear a beanie, it’s works the same. Thank you, this helped a lot.
I know I'm a year late but... genius
Wow how did I not think of this, thx 😃
Anti sweat cooling beanie is what I wear with it. Bikers wear them in the summer time. There not that expensive.
@SuperFrog you are the god i will pray from now on
tried this. doesn’t work for me
step one: get sponsored by vrcover
step two: wait until you get the product
step three: cut all contact
Lmao
Facts
The counter weight edition is:
Step one: get sponsored by htc
Step two: wait until you get the htc vibe deluxe audio strap
Step three: cut all contact
Hehe
Ok, ima get woodshed, but that’s *illegal*

Ya its all about playing around with it
4:26, I'm sure that was the original name. "Glasses extender thing."
Definitely 😉

I personally like putting a rock inside of a sock or maybe a weight so it can counter the weight of the head set
rock. I feel like that would be a little hard on the head

Glad I could help
thank u my head was in a lot of pain after using it for a few hours
If your eyes are hurting from the screen, I used to turn on the night time, blue light filter mode on.
That helps

I've never thought abou that, smart 🧠
@@FluffySezyt It looks weird but works! I posted a pic in ur vr help section in ur discord.
I'll pin it
these do help but i have one problem that always appears no matter what: forehead pain. my forehead rubs against something inside of the vr headset and it makes it so painful and uncomfortable to wear.
I'm sorry I've never experienced that so I dont have a fix
And yet some people will be like" "Can you please tell me what teddy bear brand exactly you have?"...

You just saved me a bunch of money. I have a TY giraffe that is 230 grams and near perfect for getting the pressure off my face. Thanks!
When I play for hours it has a lot of pressure on my forehead and if I untighten its loose and I can't see
Yah
I see, your plan to wealth appears to be working
Lmao
20$ battery bank and 7$ of velcro. Strap that to the back and your great!!
I taped a tape dispenser on the back of my headset and it completely balance the weight out. Definentally try this out!!!

4:32 Yea
The poor stuffed animal
Yes many things have happned to taht stuffed animal
FluffySez
If toy story is to be believed, you might wanna watch your head when you’re sleeping
Lmao
You suggested a blanket and a stuff animal before a beanie.
I dont own a beanie so it never crossed my mind
this video really sounds like you're joking but now i'm just gonna try it anyways
Edit: i have this cape thing (look up the anime Umaru-chan) and it definitely reduced the pain so thanks a lot
Hey man! What recording method do u use to make this? Edit: I meant what did u use to record gameplay
Wdym?
FluffySez basically i mean did u use the default oculus recording that’s built in or did u use something like side quest scrncpy?
I used the default recording.
if you want to look around better wen your sitting down you can use a spinning chair
The main pain I have is sweat and headache
I feel ya
Thankyou, needed this!
My neck hurts because of the quest being heavy
Do shoulder shrugs at the gym and head rolls
Will a bandana work
Probably not
