There is no solid evidence or credible source attributing this quote to John D. Rockefeller directly. The quote is often shared on social media and in discussions about education and wealth, but it appears to be a misattribution. John D. Rockefeller was an American industrialist and philanthropist, known for founding the Standard Oil Company and becoming one of the wealthiest men in history. It's important to verify quotes and sources before accepting them as accurate, as misattributions can lead to misunderstandings and perpetuation of false information.

I homeschooled my daughter for 3 years. Even though she only worked a few hours per day and mostly studied wh a t she found interesting, when she went back to school she was 2 years ahead of her peers. She also would challenge her teacher if she didnt agree with what her teacher said. She also found the kids at school quite emotionally immature and lacking in curiosity about learning.

Pretty much sums up when I was going to school. I was surprised I barely passed, I honestly thought I wouldn't graduate HS. It took me moving out on my own to figure out everything I thought I knew, I didn't know. Now I have my son and definitely homeschooling. I refuse to give up and go the easy route. The newer generation of children are really lost. It's time to put the future generation back on track.

@@pandaaddict2756 I loved every minute of homeschooling my daughter. The only reason she wanted to go back to to school in the end was because the homeschooling community in my small rural town was too small and so she felt lonely and felt she was missing out (teenager at this stage) but when she went back to school, at first it was new and exciting but very stressful. Eventually the whole unnatural experience became too much and she left school early. It took her a long time to get over the experience. She's 21 now, back on her feet and wise beyond her years. Some children are too sensitive and can see through the crap and drama and just don't cope with it. Good luck with it. I hope you are able to find a good supportive homeschool community.

@@squeaker19694 I'm sure she didn't find a lot of good friends, public schools can be hard to have friends. I'm glad she found out the grass was not greener on the otherside, it rarely ever is. It's definitely a lesson that goes with more than just homeschool vs public school. I plan on keeping my son occupied, and my husband definitely plays a big role in his development. Thank you for your insights!

@@pandaaddict2756 as a child myself who is luckily homeschooled now after going through years of school related trauma, PLEASE whatever you do don’t follow the national curriculum, only focus on what your child wants to learn, because that’s what is important
The main reason young people struggle to know what they want to do when they grow up is because they’re flooded with so many subjects that they can’t even tell which subjects they genuinely like, because at that point they just think “i’ll do as well as i can in every subject, and that way i’ll have many options to decide from when im older”
Or even if they are able to find what subjects they like, they often try to live up to society’s expectations and think they need to get a job that requires really high grades in every subject and pays really well, without thinking about a job they actually *want* to do

@@BiteThemBack75 so everyone should be punished for a few bad apples? I just hate authority and this is coming from someone who never rebelled in their life. I just hate our whole system from the government to the schools.
I hate seeing a cop on my way to work and thinking to myself “oh are my tags up to date, is my insurance ready, what’s my speed, is my phone away?” Then getting pulled over for no damn reason and the officer has whatever justification he can pull out of thin air to hold me there unless I exercise my rights, and if I do, then I’m an asshole.
I hate looking around and feeling utterly powerless bc “that’s just the way it is.” Bc a few bad apples ruined the system. Did they get punished? So why now do we have to adjust the whole damn thing to prevent it from happening again, why can’t the punishment itself be the deterrence!? Why do we have laws for victimless crimes? It makes no damn sense other than humans power grabbing and trying to control their environment along with others around them to fulfill some sense of purpose.
Why can’t I just be fkin vulnerable when I meet new people. I never speak my mind, I always want to be the good guy and do good things and it pisses me off when the world is beating me into this silent imprisonment as if I can’t be trusted to do what I feel is best in any given situation.

In college or at work, they never dictated my bladder. So I just let kids go. Well, soon enough, majority of the class was roaming the halls instead of going to the bathroom. You know who gets in trouble for not keeping them in the classroom? The teacher. Admin would reprimand the teacher in various ways. Think of doing sign-out sheets or hall passes as a security measure for the teacher's job and livelihood rather than a power move.

I started figuring out what the education system really is at 15 in high school the main thing that gave it away was how unintelligent A WHOLE LOT of my fellow students were despite their GPA then I started realizing how I don’t actually need college for A LOT of the things I would be interested in doing as a career, but high school felt so much like 4 years of “college prep” now I’m 23 and realize school in the most simplest and basic description is nothing more than capitalist conditioning and college is nothing more than job training while taking up extra courses that’s unrelated to make a rich man richer,

Because in India education system is a big filter throw "comparative exam".
People learn English more than 15 years and not able to understand it. In India.
Teacher favouritism "internal marks" totally based on teacher.
If teacher like you so 95% is just essay, but teacher hate you so you have 7% or 8% of marks in exam.

Learning is a homework for students.
Class work is checking copy of home work in school.
I don't know why we pay for school if all learning by self in home.

Could I be making more? Sure. Am I doing as well as my college-educated contemporaries? No. It's not about the money though. I'm happy where I work and my life has been fine over the last decade or so. Growing up poor around bitter working class people was more than I needed to get where I am, and they all try to put their hands in my pockets while telling me my degrees are meaningless.

I attending school from 1987 through 1999 and since graduating I have discovered that the education that I got was subpar. As a person now in their 40s, I realize that the school system is geared towards the slowest person in the class. If you train your children at the rate of the slowest person in the class than they do not excel, I have found that since leaving high school and having free access to multiple databases on the Internet off the Internet and different points of view through things like TH-cam, and indeed, and other things like that, I have grown in many many ways. The issue that I find is that most of the people who are in control are hurting and so they wish to destroy the very thing that makes this country strong and that is the family, the school system is the beginning of the destruction of the family. I found most often. It’s the mentality of the people who are in authority. That is the problem.

I actually wrote a paper about this subject in dual enrollment when I was in high school. I enjoyed learning more about the ill intent plaguing the education system, though I was hoping to hear actual ways to “fight the system”. There’s nothing wrong with advertising your business, but it’s not the sole solution. If anything, it comes out as “not being freed but being under new management”.
For as many benefits there are to working at home, not everyone is cut to do those kinds of jobs, society still needs doctors, construction workers, and scientists. People out there like myself feel a higher calling than just to make money, as they might want to teach, save lives, or learn more about the world.
Homeschooling seems to be one solution, although kids might still find their way into the education system sooner or later. In the paper I mentioned earlier, I focused on the Finnish education system. If I remember correctly, they had changed classrooms so that kids could focus on what they wanted to do, as well as no homework and the kids didn’t have to be there for 8 hours a day. A far cry from “modern” education in the US. At the time of when I wrote the paper, Finland was pretty high in the top education systems of the world, while the US was in the 50s.
A proper solution would be to push for change, educate others on how crappy and predatory the education system is, and create communities with the goal of proper teaching while leaving free will intact. Unfortunately, I do not see change in schooling to be feasible, as corporations, politicians, and the current education system profit too much from “modern classrooms”.

For an arts teacher she was just too bad at it, she didn't know how to draw yet kept asking the students to draw masterpieces, when she passed a lesson it looked more like history class 2 rather than art class, had a horrible temper, she basically denied my right to go to the bathroom even tho I still have urinary issues to this day (heck one day I was literally sick and needing to go breathe some air yet she still denied me to go outside), whenever I drew stuff it was clear I put effort in she marked something on top of it rather than the empty side and I also had suspicious she had something against most if not all the boys.

All organs can be seen with the naked eye, but not the KNOWER. We do not see the 'I AM.' Drugging children for supposed behavior/focus issues is a Crime Against Humanity.
The child has no choice in the matter yet has to suffer the consequences well into adulthood.
Most the time the child finds themselves being prescribed additional drugs to combat the side effects of the initial drug & this often times last well into adulthood.
Our system introduces children into addiction before they even enter Middle School.
How is this not a crime against humanity?
Adults can choose to seek help and get medicated if they want
    but
to drug a child and introduce that child to addiction before he or she even enters middle school.
Thats A Crime Against Humanity !!!!
Most of these children being drugged eventually have to be prescribed additional medication just to combat the side effects of the initial medication that they was prescribed and this often times lasts well into the child's adulthood.
    Its a Crime Against Humanity!!!!
How is it not a crime against humanity when the child has no choice in the matter of being drugged yet has to suffer the consequences well into adulthood?
    Answer that.
Alot of people feel this way but it never gets any attention do to it not being a political issue. Neither side benefits from bringing this crime against humanity to the light for discussion or debate.
" Unpopular should never be considered as inappropriate for simply being considered Unpopular "
*Unpopular by main$treamMedia standards that is*
    - American Intermediary 5/4/23
I would like to see the research behind how many of these children shooters were prescribed to drugs
I believe the medicating of children for supposed behavior/focus issues is the main problem.
I commented about this on russel brands channel & the comment received 4.8 likes & accumulated a thread consisting of 600 replies before it was disabled & then eventually deleted by utube. My utube account was then removed after that. Which I contested & got it back but all of my comments for the last decade was erased.
All this for saying that drugging children for supposed behavior/focus issues is a crime against humanity!
Someday American Society will look back at this time that we are living in and will see it for what it is.
They will understand that these were horrible times for a child to grow up if he or she was being
    raised by a single mother.
It is the single mothers that the schools seem to target the most aggressively. When I was a child, my mother was given an ultimatum by the vice principle at my school. My mom was told to either remove me from the school that I was attending or to have me evaluated by a doctor for potentially being adhd.
I was medicated that same week. I never believed that I had adhd. Before being medicated I didn't even like to take over the counter meds for headaches or anything. I was hardly ever sick before being medicated.
I was forced to take drugs as a child that I didn't need, I didn't deserve that!
My behavior problems as a child stemmed from moving to a new environment. A new environment that was way, way different from where I grew up previously to moving.
Being in a new school & also not having my father around. Those were the main factors for my behavior issues.
    Before I moved,
I was just a normal kid. Then at my new school, after only 1 year.
I was being evaluated for adhd.
If anything, I probably just needed to live with my father,
but I felt bad for my mom because she would cry anytime that I would bring the idea up of me going to my dad's house to live.
If no one is ever held accountable for the millions of kids that have been misdiagnosed for adhd. I would be fine with that. I would be ok with that if the practice of drugging children ended today.
Kids shouldn't have to suffer the consequences from adults making poor decisions, Poor decisions that are motivated by unethical reasoning, probably mainly the reasons that surround greed.
People need to speak up about what is happening here in America because it is A Crime against Humanity!!!!

What a shock it was to my spirit, as well as to my system, when I found out that I was required to take a class where the students were obligated to get naked at the tail end of class, and shower with the other kids, while the teachers looked on. I liked P.E., so don't get me wrong, but I always thought that was messed up, depraved, and perverted. Can you imagine sending your children to an institution where they have to strip off their clothes, and lather up in front of perfect strangers, including adult onlookers? What the hell is wrong with us? What are we doing to our children?

Even though she is very very smart I mean you have to be to go to a state university. Anyway I basically every day and night I helped her with her studies. Then start business. We went from water slaves making 5 figures for 40 hours a week. Now we make 6 figures and have way more free time! I only work like 5-10 hours a week and my man works like 10-60 hours depending on how busy we are. But he wants to do that and I want to be home with our son… and we can afford private school!
