ML reviews are back, and in one of my favourite cars🙊 Hope you like it yo, 25 mins so grab a brew and enjoy👍 Let me know what other cars you'd like to see, gonna be doing a host of different things, Japanese, German, British you name it. If you're a car enthusiast you're in for a treat. Chuck any comments below and throw me a like, much appreciated🙏 Peace ML
Still surprised you havent covered a lotus before man. Think a lot of people would be interesed in something like a k20 elise or a newer exige or something.
Monkey another belter m8 👌🏻😎 when I hear the bell I click 😁 you should try and find a vauxhall nova to review I'm sure somebody has a mad one kicking about somewhere, love them wee motors my first loves that got me into motors 👌🏻🐵
The last six months I've seen a huge push from the perspective of your brand and all the background groundwork we don't see that you are clearly doing to succeed and grow this as a business. It's def paying off. Only channel I watch like this as you're just humble about it all, great talks, good work etchic, sick beats and production and when driving you know there is a time and a place for John. You clearly are appreciative for the opportunities like this but don't forget they are all things you've helped yourself create. Big respect on the push forward over covid. and don't let off the throttle now. (As an older guy, please keep pushing the middle lane/tailgating points and respectful driving)
Drove a 2001 996 Turbo a few years back. WAY quicker than the numbers would suggest. Great to see you enjoying the GT2 in this video. It bought back some memories for me!
Yeah I like em, more so over time. I think as they went away from the traditional lights really and first of the water cooled, had a lot to live up too after 993 I rekon. GT2 was honestly savage
@voice of reason The real reason people complained is boxter and 911 looked the same from front. Imagine paying +100k for a car and someone asked "is that the new boxter" Thats why they changed the 911 headlights and kept the old ones on cayman and boxter.
a lot of people don't know that Porsche was going to put the engine in the front. I'm so glad they stuck with their original ideas and the Porsche is what it is today because of that. great video nice to see you back behind the camera and driving
This is definitely my favorite version of the 911 ! This GT2 and also the Turbo are absolute gems to get your hands on !! Can't believe people can dislike this, it's a true legend 🙏
Spot on ML, nothing drives quite like a 911. I'd love to have a blast in a GT2 after having the pleasure of caning some very memorable miles in a 996 turbo a few years back.
Lovely car. That’s polar silver and think the leather winged seats and stainless roll bar are later additions to a comfort model. A club sport was nomex fabric winged seats and black cage.
Yes ML tearing it up around Chichester! 💪🏼 If I see any high end sports cars drifting roundabouts down this way, I’ll guess it’s you! 😂 p.s. watchout for the mobile speed camera that often sits next to that mobile screen at 13:00 😉
What a machine, how lucky are you to get such an opportunity, you really know your stuff though (but your modest with it). These 996 Porsche's have really aged well. Really glad you took the time to stress the importance of warming oils upto temp too before using the car hard, has to be one of the most common (and pointless) types of abuse you see on cars today. Using a car hard is fine as long as the oils are in good condition and upto temp 👍🏼
Beautiful car. The color is called "Polar Silver Metallic" and is actually quite rare on the 996, as it was a color launched for the 993 models. By the time the 996 was in production, "Arctic Silver Metallic" was the standard and by far the most popular choice for silver. The GT3s/GT2s never had back seats neither in comfort nor clubsport guise and a roll cage was standard on the clubsport, but the unit fitted to that particular GT2 is an aftermarket piece, supplied by Porsche Tequipment.
I keep coming back to this to listen to the sound at 10:30 onwards. Got a 996 turbo with GT2 headers, turbos and ics and it sounds so real in this video!
Best car content on TH-cam, @monkey London and Chris Harris I always watch religiously this guy deserves all the success in the world keep up the good work man
Good to see you back John ! The lads who let you take the GT2 out are stars ! I got taken a spin a long time ago in a 996 GT3 - It just blew me away ! One of my fave ML videos of all time 👍
Yep lots of numpties on road especially on in and around lockdown. Cheers for the tips will use the slow down then burst away/pull over method. Porsche GT2 is very nice bet handling is immense.
I remember going on a family holiday as a kid, suddenly being passed by a lorry filled with 996 GT2's and GT3's. I was so impressed as a 6-year old, what a stunning example this is!
Mr ML, you rock! Good to see reviews coming back, been an avid viewer since day 1, got some mad cars for you to review if your interested! Crazy engine swaps, and skid cars... Stay safe man :)
I've got to say what a awesome review of the gt2 I thought it was very interesting of the knowledge that you had with a Porsche GT2👍👍. And I cannot wait for the next 1 Toby keep up the good work and be safe 👍👍
Hi ML, a really fantastic vid, loads of info for us all! Some great cars there hey. I too have always had a liking for Porsche's, that wide ass rear end, not so keen on the lights, but as you say, a privilege and obvious joy to drive. Great to see your reviews back ML, cool 😎
You deserve it bro you work dam hard to bring us content, enjoy driving it you'll get one one day know doubt and add to the collection Lol! keep safe ML
I used to have this idea that all Porsche's were the same but as I've matured I realise what a fantastic manufacturer Porsche is. My realistic grail sports car is a 2009+ 987 Cayman S, midship singing 3.4 flat 6 producing 320bhp with an LSD for around £15'000 yes please!
Amazing beast. Also you said air cooled, but the 996 was the first gen of water cooled. Part of the reason they got a lot of hate, minus the headlights.
Had one of them porsche gt2’s on a poster on my wall as kid haha, same colour and everything! Can’t wait to see more of that Viper aswell! That’s another widow maker that😎
@@monkylondon you should hold an open day at targa in July, invite any followers interested in buying a motor. They had a massive range of stock. I seen everything from a sick fiesta st to an nsx there.
I get numpties sit on my rear bumper and I only drive a 1.6 MGF, its not even a fast car. I guess lots people don't really know much about them or even know what they are. I personally like the 996 era of porsche especially the GT2, SICK!
“If I even had just a wing mirror of one of these I’d cherish it like mad” insert clip full send off the roundabout 😂
Hey John was a good boy 🤭 much love Grant ❤️
Pro tip : you can watch movies on flixzone. Me and my gf have been using it for watching all kinds of movies lately.
@Quincy Jaxon definitely, have been using flixzone for months myself :D
@Quincy Jaxon yup, been using Flixzone for months myself =)

The 996 GT2 is an amazing car one of my dream Porsches

They did indeed come stock with that roll cage 👌🏻 Unfortunately the 300 made for the US did not, a regulation prevented it from being a factory option
This is definitely my favorite version of the 911 ! This GT2 and also the Turbo are absolute gems to get your hands on !! Can't believe people can dislike this, it's a true legend 🙏
Production levels next level, loving the 80’s vibe at the start!!

Top class production, rewatching, one of the best videos from the Monky London 2020 season, thank you 😍💯

Gta ftw 💪
Although not quite as exclusive as a GT2, today I picked up a low mile 996 Turbo in the same colour. Such a great car to drive.
