Now! Just how do you get the 360 Camera to point and film the things you want it to film? Is it Gesture Controlled? Or Voice Controlled, it just seemed like Witchcraft to me, amazing! I've got to say there were a couple of times PP that your facial expression looked like the Edvard Munch picture "The Scream" when you gave the GT2 the beans. Great video as always. I think it's fair to say you can only count on one hand the very best car review videos on TH-cam and one of them is certainly yours PP. 👍
Thanks mate. The camera films in 360 and then you can view the video in an app on your phone. You hold the phone up and by moving the orientation of the phone the direction you are looking on the 360 video moves. You save the video and output the file 👍

Good heavens what a great car and camera. I remember skiing backwards down hills to get video of kids or racers with a huge camera on my shoulder. (Needed to remember to not swear when I wiped out from time to time). This would have been fabulous. Also remember my first rear wheel drive sports car, found out quick that it wasn't fun in the snow, ice or wet.....well it was fun if you were in a parking lot doing donuts.
Beautiful machine, glad 996's are getting more appreciation. 360 is incredible, like having a camera person with you at all times capturing the shots you want. Bit of double vision at the horizon but wasnt sure if that was corner of the windscreen related. Fab stuff Pete as always and thanks Anthony James cars

No interest in Porsches in the slightest, even though I worked as a partsman for them for a couple of years. A Cobra, however, tickles my pickle. Just yesterday was mooching around the Classic/Kit Car sites looking at prices and specs. As a powerboat racer, know Chevy V8s rather well. Small Block or the Biggies, they go really well on a budget most people can live with as a Sunday Special rather than a daily. A 6.2 LT crate engine new is cheaper than a good service on a Porsche GT. Go on Ped, have a flying guess where my vote is going.

Awesome car. I remember attending a track day about 15 years ago in my 996 GT3 at Bedford Autodrome where there were plenty of 996/997 GT3's/GT3RS's, many running Michelin Cup tyres with bespoke track set ups and a few GT2's. A chap in a stock 996 GT2 spun on a patch of grass eventually slamming into a fence by the pit entrance. He got lucky as no damage apart for a few stone chips at the rear of the car. A lot of the handling issues on the 996 GT2 caused by the suspension set up from the factory which wasn't the best but much improved with some adjustment.
Another fine Porsche and doubtless with a suitable price tag! The new camera/lens is interesting…I have never really got to use my 4K Sony because I just never seem to go anywhere interesting enough but then editing needs more skills to be learnt…I will get to it this Summer!!🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼😀😀😀😀
Time moves on and cars that were a little bit iffy, looks wise, back in the day sometimes massively improve with age. This is one of those cars in my opinion. Gorgeous, in every way.
I agree Pete that the rear just looks awesome especially with that rear wing and the design of the exhaust. Like you said something you have to respect otherwise it could all go wrong very quickly.
Ped.... I'm pretty sure that's my old GT2... I owned it when it was 14 months old.... as somebody said above it's not a Clubsport, it started life as a Comfort.... drop me a message if you or the vendor want a little insight into it.... 👍
I'm 6ft 3inches tall and found that I couldn't push the seat back far enough without fouling the roll cage during a couple of miles when driving it. Loved it to bits!
With the 360 camera you will still want to aim it at the main area you want to film, or rather, aim where the camera's software is going to join footage from each side at an A-pillar or somewhere insignificant. Some of the footage out the front was a bit off with double vision of a Transit you were following at one point. Besides that, it does seem quite good.
Once you go over 4k they really start to pull , the Turbo is the touring version of the GT2 and an absolute bargain with the added bonus of 4wd.. they are an incredible car.
That GT2 wins rear of any year for me. Any car in my opinion has to have a pucker rear as its often the most seen feature when out on public roads or race track. 🏁 ps, that 360 lense is mega!!
