After 6 months of ownership, it's a time for a review on my Porsche 996 Turbo S. I'll cover the pros and cons of this amazing car and share my experience so far.

Look into new engine mounts - I have RSS. Will change the way the car drives, more direct.

Seconded, solid engine mounts improve the interaction with the car a lot. Throttle response and raw sound / feeling of the engine through the car...😎

Personally, I like the blue BBS caps, and I think that color would give the car a more subtle contrast pop
Color means something different to everyone, but I do love the wheels and the stance!

So you ended up with 19/8.5 et43 and 19/11 et35?? (Assuming both wheels were et50 to start with) What size are the tires if you don’t mind? Thanks for the awesome content as always 👍

how did you get on with clearance on the front alloys? I have 18 inch twist on mine, all good, but close to the arch liners, I have a set of 20inch ,but they catch, as they have a slightly larger rolling radius. Though it does look cool. I just cannot steer!lol... I am looking for a set of bbs e88's. I get 28-30 on mine, have hybrids and a do88 intercoolers. 580bhp, manual, but it is a money pit. Make sure you always buy a loved one. As they get expensive.
20's would definitely catch, especially if you've upgraded the suspension and lowered the car. No issues or rubbing with my wheel and suspension setup 👊🏻
Looks great on the LMs. But may I suggest using guide pins when removing and installing wheels on Porsche with Ceramic Rotors. As you know, they are extremely expensive and if a wheel drops down on the rotor, it’s all bad. I’ve seen pictures of them completely shattered just from the wheel barrel impacting while removing from the car.
I was thinking the exact same, they are not exactly light wheels either, so easily done

Raj, when you updated to Kenwood did you have any Map issues?
I've just upgraded to the DMX8021DABS and Google Maps throws my position on my iphone way off once the Porsche ignition is turned on, any ideas?

Check your GPS antenna for the DMX8021DABS is connected and also ensure it is not being hidden or obstructed by any metal work.

BBS wheels are for sure an acquired taste. Pretty car!
now this sano turbo looks weapons grade!!!!. I of course would go nuts on power but a daily needs be no faster or probably not as fast as this can be stock. can be sold bold as to suggest 1 more thing which I think would change the attitude so drastically you be stunned. my brother hates me I'm trying to get him to buy RUF turbo r bumpers and wheels its makes him goes ape shit its so funny... sorry back to my fav 911. GT2 exhaust those huge round 3,5" I think the opposite mirror each other at like 35-40 degrees. I seen them angled to far which can get that carbon shot shit or even melt some hoses or the vents on that rear bumper cover. just a suggestion but I know how killer it looks now that would the pinch of evil to really make this such a cool yet nasty and dead sexy it wouldn't remain your daily I wouldn't think. I expect nothing but the most tasteful wicked cars from you so I'm not even a little surprised. erect yes but you always build sano rigs!! truly a serious piece of kit!!!!! cheers

I always thought the S in the turbo S only started in the later 997
The "S" variant was available on the last run out of the 996 Turbo (Dec 2004 to 2005)
3 piece turbo twists would have looked great, but LMs always look 100%

My daughter thinks the BBS LM's are vile. I am not so sure either. (She also said they are "barbaric"! 🤣) I think I prefer the turbo twist wheels, but then I am biased as I have a similar Porsche 996.... 😉
