Now that my extensive 997 Turbo rebuild is in the books, it's time to hunt down the next big Porsche project! At the top of the list? This 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS that has seen FAR better days! Currently it sits at a Copart salvage auction near Miami, Florida.. But I hope to change that (or bring home a GT3 as a consolation prize!

I've been a watcher since Demon projects but this time around if you really wanted your dream car GT2 RS, then my opinion man who knows when next opportunity might spun out..
So you should definitely get this one and we would definitely enjoy watching you rebuild it the way you want it.. btw watching you from the other side of ocean in Europe !

@@faststang4892 I replied to your comment hours ago, but I guess TH-cam did TH-cam shit and deleted it. Anyways, I would suggest doing a little instagram sleuthing because finding the video of the crash isn’t hard. I actually shouldn’t have said anything, it wasn’t my car, and it’s not my car now, however I have forwarded what the former owner said to Lee so if he decides to bid, he is fully aware. Beyond that it’s not my place to speak on this car and it wasn’t from the start.

Lee while I love these auction walkarounds it is so frustrating that we never see what the final sale prices are. I would like to see a format similar to the Niko Bros where they show the bidding etc. maybe Dalt can do an update on his channel for us?

ALWAYS trust your gut. Had a genuine cajun mentor years ago. One of his favorite sayings was, "You got a thinker (pointed to his head) and a knower (pointed to his chest/gut). If your thinker and your knower agree, there's your answer. I they don't, ALWAYS listen to your knower. It always right. Your thinker get you into trouble often as not..."

Oh MAN! Those yellow gauges are perfect! Best Porsche dash ever!!! I wish my 930 Slantnose Turbo had something like that!!! The seat belts, stitching, steering wheel, etc, just make it that much better!!! That would be my favorite, by far, to this point. I do wish you all would work on some other stuff, though…. You’re always talking about; “This motor would be perfect in somebody’s classic car swap”…. You should get a Third generation Camaro or Firebird, then swap in a LSA, or LS9. Now THATS hot rodding, in its purest form!!!
My 997.1 speed yellow turbo has the yellow cluster and yellow seatbelts...love those options

this car was crashed by some youtuber in West Palm Beach they took the custions because they were custom. if you can I would get the car it would be awesome content for the channel
That’s a crazy flaw the shock tower blowout!! Is there no way to strengthen that up before you wreck it?
992 gt3s are made of very fragile glass, ive seen the corners of both door windows crack just from mishandling, its not surprising to see that from that kind of damage

That strut tower repair is stupid expensive to repair, I have seen one, and the entire front end has to come apart to fix properly. As well a special aluminum welding and bonding agents. Absolutely not a “do it your self, or even a normal body shop” repair.

I've never really seen any Porsche drivetrains swapped into anything. Would swapping a 3.6 or 3.8 liter from a 911 turbo into something like a Cayman be feasible? Like a discount Carrera GT build? Maybe take it to AIM and make it REALLY wild. Hope this sounds like a bad idea.
I haven't seen it done most likely because it doesn't make sense money wise. Getting the 911 turbo engine is ridiculously expensive even for a used one. It makes more sense to have the Cayman engine built by someplace like LM engineering.

Im always confused on who would actually buy a non-authorized rebuild car. Especially one of that calibre. Is there really a chance to resell something like this?

was just looking at the gt2rs not to long ago, the funny way I figured out how it crashed was by the first reel I saw on instagram 😆
