@@HugeRMCFanBoY-bx3od Ever since the beginning, Mario has been regarded as one of gamings best franchises. Why do you think that is? Traditionally, what have Mario games done better than others?
Super mario galaxy is the best video game I have ever played. Not only is it nostalgia, but every aspect of the game is amazing. The storyline, uniqeness, gameplay, game design, mechanics, everything. I am a 16 year old game developer and gamer, and I have never seen something just like this. When I make more advanced games, I def want to make games like these. Super mario galaxy is part of my childhood. Amazing
My list of all 3d Mario games (not including bowsers fury and sunshine since I haven’t played it) 7: Super Mario 64 ds 6: Super Mario 3d land 5: Super Mario 3d World 4: Super Mario odyssey 3: Super Mario 64 2: Super Mario Galaxy 2 1: Super Mario Galaxy Explanation Super 64 ds has terrible controls. Super Mario 3d land is a very underrated game but it’s up against so many masterpieces that it can’t compete with. 3d world is like a combination of new super Mario bros wii and super Mario 3d land and it is great. I love the chaos that ensues all because of that damn crown. Super Mario odyssey is next and it’s practically just as good as 64. This game has the best movement in the series but it lacks great missions with it focusing more on quantity over quality. It also is too easy. The movement is so good that these negatives hardly matter. Super Mario 64 is a great game. I played this for the first time recently and it was so good. I loved most of the missions in the game (except 100 coins) and the movement was very fun. Super Mario galaxy 2 can be swapped with galaxy depending on what you prefer. Galaxy 2 has better gameplay but it sacrifices the great atmosphere and story from the original. Galaxy 1 is the best due to it being the only Mario game to actually focus on the atmosphere and story and it delivers. It has the most memorable areas in the series. It also has one of the best soundtracks not just in Mario history, not just in Nintendo history but in all of video games. Absolute masterpiece of a game that everyone needs to experience.
@@thesupervideogamenerdmore3171 I played Galaxy 2 first and then Galaxy 1 later. Galaxy 1 kinda felt like a downgrade. The only thing better about Galaxy 1 is the story elements. Only suggestion I have would be to swap sunshine with 3D world. Gameplay alone is not enough to make one game better than another. In my biased opinion, no game in the series has as much personality as sunshine. 3D world was fun as hell, but it really did not have its own identity. Its identity was levels. The gameplay was stellar, but even after playing it to death, I can barely recall anything super memorable. I remember it feeling really good to play and having cat suits. But Sunshine had such a vibrant, believable, atmospheric personality that is unparalleled in the mario universe. Its incredibly compelling personality coupled with its admittedly sometimes questionable level design and frustrating glitches, in my opinion, should boost it above 3D world, but no higher.
My problem with sunshine is that the level design just kinda sucks at times. Which isn't something I would say for any any of the other 3d Mario games. Even beyond stuff like the horrible Pachinko level, most of the other levels don't have anything interesting to them when you look past the visuals. So while 3D world's identity may just be standard, I wouldn't say it's ever bad in the way Sunshine's gameplay can be.
Call the people who grew up playing Super Mario 64 DS like myself, the control seems really aren't that bad, and just because the people who make these videos having grown up with the DS doesn't mean that they're opinions are any more valid. I feel like perhaps you didn’t play Sunshine much? I think Sunshine makes A tier and is better than 3D World. Without nostalgia, I can see why you put Galaxy ahead of it. I just think you’ve heavily underrated Sunshine. Sunshine is pretty much the first 3D Mario game to really give Super Mario it’s modern lore. Bowser Jr. Pianta and Noki residents. Perfected beach/resort theme. Petey Piranha. Shadow Mario. Mecha Bowser. Peach’s plane. Toadsworth. The main-stream multi-colored Toads. 3D Yoshi. Fludd. Cataquacks. Giant Wiggler. Gooper Blooper. All of these iconic characters/items originated in Sunshine. I think Sunshine might even be the most iconic 3D Mario game ever (Peach’s castle, Whomps, Klepto, and King Bob-omb are the only iconic characters/things I can think of who originated in 64). What it did, it did right. But the glitches and lack of polish are a bit much. 😭😭😭

Honestly as much as I LOVE regular Mario, the RPGs are some of the greatest games I've ever played. They have incredible stories, engaging action-twisted rpg battles, fun characters, and loveable (not just Bowser!) odyssey is only A tier for me. its quite boring if im being 100% honest, the moons feel about as satisfying to get as a coin since theyre just sitting there most of the time, and the level design isnt engaging enough to make me want to explore much past the main path. the gameplay loop gets old rather quickly

I really don’t think that if they were all remade for the switch it wouldn’t be in a collection but rather be individual remakes. The switch isn’t powerful enough like the ps5 and the new xbox, so I believe it was powerful enough, the games for 3d all stars can actually be remakes
this is true
I think Mario 3D world is a sequel to Mario 3D land
like...this video is better than the others, why is he not famous yet?
:)
1. Super Mario Odyssey
2. Super Mario 64
3. Super Mario Galaxy
4. Super Mario Galaxy 2
5. Super Mario Sunshine
6. Super Mario 64 DS
7. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury
8. Super Mario 3D Land
I won't count 3D All Stars because there's nothing different about it aside from a couple graphical enhancements and people are having outrage over absolutely nothing.
I know everyone has their own opinions but I personally think 64 is overrated AS HELL. How tf is it better than Galaxy?
@@anordinaryuser5818 1 word. Nostalgia.
@@Tod_erwartet if you're not a prick then you must know that nostalgia doesn't make a game any better.
@@anordinaryuser5818 dude you don’t have be fucking rude like that
@@Tod_erwartet then don't be annoying. Nostalgia shouldn't be a factor for why the game is better. 64 is "revolutionary" when it first came out, but compared to Galaxy, 3D World and Odyssey, it's just suck.
Only played 64, my family had Nintendo 64 when i was 6
AYEE YOU DID MY IDEA TTHANKS BRO
i saw it 😉
pls make a ranking of all 3 luigis mansion games
i need to play 3
bro… sunshine was my most played Mario game between the ages of 4-10. before making this video I had played tons of it too.
The lore, atmosphere, and music is all amazing. Unfortunately it’s not fun to play for me anymore. I’m sorry bro!
I suggest you watch my full video on sunshine, I speak more in depth there.
@@JacobCruise oh bet! Link to video? I’ll give it a watch! I’m a Nintendo fan but also a game designer. So I’m genuinely surprised someone who played it as much as you said ranked it so low. As a game designer, I’d love to hear what you loved/hated more in depth. Helps me make better decisions as a dev. :)

i used the 3DS with this game
Even though it’s the hardest one, Super Mario Sunshine is the best for me!
i respect it 🗽
if you had to pick 1 side what side would it be all the mario rpgs or all the 3d mario games
damn man idk that’s a tough one
Honestly as much as I LOVE regular Mario, the RPGs are some of the greatest games I've ever played. They have incredible stories, engaging action-twisted rpg battles, fun characters, and loveable (not just Bowser!) Villans that makes Mario's world feel more like a living, breathing place than the main games could ever hope to portray.
dope ranking :)
Geeat video and an excellent critical review of all the 3D Mario games! 👏👏
Thank you!
mario odyssey should be C tier

@@JacobCruise what
I WAS HEEREEEE
yes
W list
Agree on sunshine, but galaxy is too linear
Does linear = bad though ?
@@JacobCruise not necessarily, no. But it takes away the charm from 3d marios
@@ndre90 Gotcha
i prefer galigy 1 than 2 and i playd 2 ferst

Thankz
Mario jump less run 😅
Fire
Even if super mario oddysey isant an open world game id call it close enough tbh i do still want one tho cause i think id be amazing if you could play as the core mario caracters and just explore the mushroom kingdom as them as well as the surrounding areas like bowsers kingdom and just other one off locations like the bean kingdom from the mario and luigi series or recuring plases like the sesert snow or ocean areas
Rosalinas storybook puts Galaxy 1 at the top of the list

odyssey is only A tier for me. its quite boring if im being 100% honest, the moons feel about as satisfying to get as a coin since theyre just sitting there most of the time, and the level design isnt engaging enough to make me want to explore much past the main path. the gameplay loop gets old rather quickly
it feels good to be here this early hahaha
welcome
