The Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury game features the same great co-op gameplay, creative levels and power-ups as the original game, but with added improvements. In the Super Mario 3D World part of the game, characters move faster and the dash powers up more quickly. Both adventures support the newly added Snapshot Mode-pause the action to get the perfect shot, apply filters, and decorate with stamps! In Super Mario 3D World, choose from Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad and set off to save the Sprixie Kingdom. Each character has a distinct playstyle-Luigi can jump extra high and Peach can float for a short time. Rosalina is also available as a playable character later in the game! Jump, dash, and pounce to reach the goal while collecting Green Stars, coins and power-ups.
Collect stamps throughout your adventure in Super Mario 3D World and use them in Snapshot Mode (in both Super Mario 3D World and the Bowser’s Fury adventure) to create masterpieces to share with friends and family. In Bowser’s Fury, Mario arrives on Lake Lapcat and is confronted with a rampaging Bowser! Join forces with Bowser Jr. and venture through an interconnected world made of cat-themed…well, everything. Something I'd like to point out. Shiny Stars aren't locked out if you use the White Tanooki Leaf. If you complete the Level(s) you used it on afterwards, the games acts like you beat the level(s) legitimately, and Shiny Stars are open to you.

So if I get this right. You use the white tanooki leaf, get the green stars, and beat the level. Then go beat the same level again just getting to the end and it’ll count the green stars?

One of the most annoying parts of 100%ing 3D World is that you have to beat every single level with all 5 characters
Back on the Wii U, that condition awakened the Completionist's Fury inside of me

When I play it I do it like this:
Step 1: 100% 3D World in multiplayer (no rosalina)
Step 2: 100% Bowser's Fury
Step 3: Return to 3D World and play rosalina
It's simple but it's a long process.

I love bowser’s fury. It’s so charming, the music is good, and game design is perfect. It’s a masterpiece
I wish more open world games were like this... meaning letting you play as Mario and using Plessie as your mount.
The biggest issue with bowser's fury is that it uses the 3d world controls. Doesn't feel as smooth as it should for an open world mario. I don't want something like cappy but something closer to a modern take on 64s and sunshines controls

I remember the Superstar Saga remake's big side mission 'Bowser's Minions' being very fun to me and it was so full of sass and silliness. Loved it
And of course Mario Strikers Supercharged, it gave so much personality to each character, it's amazing
They could’ve just made this JUST the original game with a few added tweaks. Instead, they made it the original game with a few added tweaks AND a brand new mode entirely!

@@Unfrightable Faster movement speed, snapshot mode, dive move, 4-player Captain Toad, online multiplayer, everyone can use their own on-screen cursor, you can use the cursor using buttons, and also you will continue a long jump out of bouncing off an enemy from a long jump.
There also might be a few other improvements that I can't remember right now.
Properly made remaster
I was thinking "How do you stretch a 3-5 hour game into a half hour video?" But then I remembered that there was a whole 3D World port in there too and how you basically have to redo the game with every character for 100%.
I love it how Nintendo everyone was chilling and then one guy was like
"Hey what about instead of loads of small levels we have one big CHONKY level!"

I really loved this review. It always cheers me up when I see someone giving 3D World the credit it deserves even if it's not as ambitious as the more beloved Galaxy or Odyssey. I basically agree with every point in your video
I think the reason 3D World was disliked when it originally came out on Wii U, was because due to bad timing. People were simply tired of the "New Super Mario Bros." curse. How a lot of mainline and even spinoff titles were feeling generic. People were hoping that a big budget 3D Mario would be the kick in the pants that the Wii U needed. But because it was just another casual linear point A point B platformer, combined with the Wii U's reputation, it sadly set the game up for failure. But now that it came out post Odyssey, it's kinda like a redemption story.
@@supermariof0521 yeah, I always liked the game on the Wii u. But playing it with the hindsight of odyssey and with all the welcome additions of the switch edition. Yeah the game's a masterpiece.
If they swapped Mario Bros U for 3d World the Wii U wouldn't have failed
Bowser's Fury looks like it has a formula that's well worth revisiting.
As long as they dont make you immortal again with way too many power ups.

It truly is. This game is short just because they've decided to give us 4-5 extremely fun hours, instead of a 20h game with 16h of meaningless content.

I'm glad people get to experience my favorite Mario game of all time. I've been wanting a port since Nintendo started porting Wii U games. I still love the game so much that I too am gonna 100% the game.
I bring it up often, but I love the darker tones of the "expansion". The, for the lack of a better term, "edgier" music, the dark brooding colors, the panic inducing fear when Bowser rises. It is a welcomed change and I feel Mario could prob benefit from a more, er, "Edgy"? game style. Keep the platforming and stuff the same but more darker tones~
Odyssey had a giant dark dragon. That's pretty edgy.

Bowser's Fury made me feel like I was playing in one of Odyssey's open worlds, while oozing the same amount of charm found in Galaxy 1 and 2. I had a smile on my face the _entire_ time, and I absolutely found each Cat Shine a fun little catch.
The music is incredible, the environments are vibrant and alive, and the controls. Oh gosh the controls.
The controls are as smooth as butter. Not once did I feel out of control of mario. Any platforming mistaks were always my fault, and not because of any slippery Mario.
I sincerely hope that Nintendo continues on to make full length Mario games like they did Bowser's Fury, and I recommend it to all who have yet to experience it.
I finally got to getting it this year, and boy oh boy, is it fun as hell. Also, a bonus since I didn’t get a chance to play 3D World originally on the Wii U, so yeah… Loving that too.
I love Bowser’s Fury especially how Bowser is actually treated as a villain that poses somewhat of an actual threat
Bowser couldn't be a threat even if they made him destroy the world. There's nothing that can save a villain after they've been beaten in games for over 30 years, character is and will forever be a joke and not a funny one.Sad because he used to be a fine villain, he was best in mario bros 3 since there was a game in between with a different villain and bowser had a comeback where he doesn't look like a buffoon like in mario bros 1 but it's his first appearance as his real better look we all know.
Then Mario World comes around, okay using him again, which isn't as cool as last time since he was already defeated in the last game but it's okay. But with each game it got less and less okay and by the time mario galaxy came around it was so extremely dull and depressing, they give epic music to the battles as if it's exciting but unless it's some kids first or maybe 2nd mario game ever I can't see how it possibly could be.
Imagine if the last time we saw bowser was mario bros 3 and then he comes back in odyssey, people would be like "Woah it's him again!" and not "oh theres bowser he has a hat now I guess"

I was playing with my dad and he took the invincibility leaf. Looks like I can't get the sparkle stars anymore.
I might be wrong, but I think if you recomplete the level you used the leaf on without using the leaf, you can still get the sparkly stars.

If Bowser's Fury becomes the template for the next 3D Mario game, I would honestly love that. The maps don't have to be quite as big as Lake Lapcat, but a large area packed with collectibles with a large threat that appears every so often sounds fantastic. It doesn't have to be Fury Bowser or a Fury Anyone, but I really enjoyed how drastically the levels changed when Fury Bowser was awake and how you'd have to bait him into opening up certain collectibles and seeing that return in the next game would be so much fun.
I completed Bowser's Fury in one sitting, but that's definitely not the only time I will be doing so. The game is a freakin masterpiece, no matter how long or short it is. I felt the same way when playing Spider-Man Miles Morales.

3D World was a blast on the Wii U when I played with my siblings, you're really tempting me to get the Switch version so I can play it again AND experience Bowser's Fury myself.

I love the 2d mario design in a 3d mario game. I'm loving this game all over again and bowser's Fury was awesome! I 100% it last night.

I can say I have become a true completionist! I went through the ENTIRE game 5 times, all stars, all stamps, and bowser’s fury completed!! I deliberately waited until I completely finished it before watching this video lol. It was so satisfying and a great journey!!
Actually even after you use the invincibility leaf if you just play the level again without it the game gives you the shiny stars

I love the final boss for bowsers fury. since its such a small side mode I didn't really expect a big final boss and I was content with the final battle just being the hardest version of the kaiju battle I've been doing several times over the past 3 hours, so when I saw fury bowser puke up all the black goop and sink into the water I put my controller down expecting it to be over. But then bowser rose up again with no pupils and 3 Giga bells and I thought it was awesome that they did this. it wasn't meowser again (thank god cuz that would've been really dumb) and it wasn't even a Giga battle. instead of grabbing a Giga bell so you can grow big and take on bowser, you have to ride Plessy and smash the 3 Giga bells into bowser enough so the force field he put around it will break, allowing you to grab all 3 of them and crush bowser once and for all. I kind of expected to grab the Giga bells and have to face the giant bowser one last time but I was fine with that not being the case considering the fact that the existence of a second phase was more than I expected

Dammit, I wasn't going to buy this game, but seeing the slight improvements, not having to have my wii u plugged in, and essentially a new small game has completely changed my mind. My wallet hates you Jirard, but keep up the great work sharing these games with us.
