Thank you so much! This video has been extremely helpful! I want to go with the Topvision product, but I can't find it at Harbor Freight tools and the link you provided says Page Not Found :/
If anybody had their Topvision fail on them, please post. Mine worked for about a year then failed. Only used it four times. There's chance that the failure was due to a loose battery post, I put too much vaseline on one of them. But just curious, because the product went completely off the market several months ago. Thanks.
Project Farm is better than Consumer Reports ever was. They would often get hung up on some trivial issues or features instead of the overall quality/utility of the product and were not as real world oriented.
One person I use to watch no joke their intro was 1 minutes and like 15 seconds... I get people want to make good intros but I'm sure most of us watching just wanna get to the content
@@ProjectFarm I think you're doing great. I like the intro. But to satisfy these two maybe add a note to the content start time code so they can skip forward. Oh and also for these two if you're watching on a phone you can double tap the right side of the screen and it will jump the video forward 10 sec. Do that a few times and you are at the beginning of the content.
Not being mechnicaly inclined, When something works, to me its a mericle! Project farm has helped me greatly . Big thumbs up! Helps all of us find and use the best products! Ill second that EMMY award!
2 year update- After watching this video I bought the Audew about 2 years ago. It has worked great and I have used it many many times on cars and motorbikes. I also regularly use the flashlight, and USB C phone charger when Im camping. It really holds SO much power for such a small pack. I havent yet found a vehicle it wont start! Even diesels it starts with ease! Thanks so much for your reviews I followed your advice and the Audew has been a great tool !
2 years after your video was published, it is still helping a person like me. For that, I thank you for your time and very detailed various test results and most importantly, the non bias review.
I came to say that I had the chance recently to test out the Audew I bought after watching this episode when it came out. Our Dodge Grand Caravan had completely discharged its battery overnight, not even panel lights. I grabbed the Audew from our other vehicle which was outside in 7'F weather. When connected, the Audew beeped and flashed green informing that the battery was too low to auto-connect so I hit the boost button and I got a steady green light. The first 2 attempts the car hardly cranked, but it was improving after each try due to the heat generated in the booster. On the third try, it started right up. I have to say that I'm pleased with the cold-weather performance of the littler booster and boy am I glad that you tested it under adverse conditions. A big "Thank You!" from Maine!
Demanding high amps from a cold lithium battery is very bad for it. You'd be better off taking it inside to warm up first, or heat it up by supplying power to a moderate load first.
@@erik_dk842 was going to say essentially this. I was hunting and my battery died. I sat on my Audew for about how long it took to make a pot of campfire coffee and it fired right up on the 1st attempt and it was right around 10℉. Audew is a right skookum choocher
@@morganghetti yes, and what's wrong with that? The option to skip ads are there... And I love to watch click bait channels which I don't want to waste time with ads. Also skip skip skip to get conclusion. Are you a butthurt failed TH-cam creator or what? That said, i repeat again, project farm does such a good job I make the choice to let the ads play.
Since this video I placed an audew unit in each of my cars. I've used each one when I had a dead battery (a Subaru and Ford explorer). They have worked well each time. I also modified the case so that they are being charged from an auxiliary 12v outlet to USB charger whenever the cars are running. Always prepared, I say! Thanks, project farm/Todd!
It's timely, that way. as the mechanic to my tribe I'm starting to hear about some of those seasonally-revealed battery woes, been thinking one of these would facilitate rescues. :)
@@ProjectFarm How about de-icing salts? Theres lots of different products, like calcium salts, and urea based formulas. Effects on ice, temperature, corrosiveness, and effect on plant/grass life.
I bought the Audew about a year ago after watching this comparison test! I’ve used it a few times in that year and can tell you that it sure lives up to its number one win from this test! I consult Project Farm before I buy any tool hoping I’ll find a video on it.
All - quick update. I finally did receive my Audew jump starter, and 2 days later I came out to a 10 degree - diesel which wouldn’t start after sitting in the cold all day (10 hours). I hooked up the Audew and immediately started the diesel motor. Thanks project farm!
I have bought the Audew battery jumpstarter based off this review. It is a cold 7 degrees here in Wisconsin! My 5.3 liter V8 Silverado would not start. Connecting the jump starter was a breeze and successfully jump started my truck twice with 88% remaining on the jump starter. Thank you for your efforts on the video and recommendation!
I can’t give you enough accolades for all the hard work, money and time that you spend on making these testing videos, I don’t know you by any means but I hold you in high regards for your integrity, intelligence, and grounded hard work ethics. I try to send enough of your videos to people I know to spread the Great 👍🏽 Work that you do. Once again, thank you!!! Tip of the hat 🧢
I won't say a noco battery booster is the end-all be-all of battery boosting technology, but I have the genius boost one and it has saved me a lot of money and other people's time, in starting my car when I first got it, with a battery problem that appeared a few weeks after buying the car, which is a 2009 ford focus... After getting it checked with a handheld digital battery tester, it didn't appear to find anything wrong with the battery after all the tests it performed... A few weeks later and using an analog tester with a battery draw test switch found that the car battery wasn't coming back up in voltage after the draw test, however, until I found that out, the genius boost actually worked very well to start the vehicle, and give me enough juice to get going and get the alternator working enough, to keep the engine running with the radio going... **Note** the battery was still over 10 volts, so it wasn't anywhere as extreme as these tests, which appear to start at around 6 volts give or take a couple
I bought the Audew after watching this. Its amazing. Started my Volkswagen 2.0 TDI in -10 with a dead battery. Cranked harder than my huge black Schumacher 110 by at least 3 times. Thanks Project Farm!
So I bought the Audew. Got it charged it up put it the car. This morning after the car sat a week in 20 degrees temps no start. Slow crank the n click click click. Hooked up the Audew hit the key fired right up. Temps this am 11 degrees. Thanks for the time and effort you put into testing these units. Update. After first jump Audew at 98% power recharged. Next day frozen fuel line cranked batt down trying to start. Thaw out and hookup jumper fired up. 2 days later without charging up jumped plow truck. This is notorious slow to start sits for weeks without running. Andrew cranked it faster than it has normally cranked and fired it right up. I am truly happy.
DO NOT ORDER OFF AUDEW WEBSITE I was checking out, put my card info in, and in the end it said there was an error and to start over. I try again, same thing. Then I go to my order page and sure enough they charged me for two. I cancel the pending orders. I check my bank and they charged me for two ! It wasn’t until I emailed them they returned my money. But get this...they only gave my money back for ONE out of the two.
I bought the audew solely based on this review and recently had the opportunity to test it out on the dying battery in my 2018 VW Passat. The battery was showing 10.2 volts the day prior to using this on a jump box. Had to use Boost but the little audew worked. Took the battery to be replaced and it was bulged on the short sides so it was dead dead. Audew worked for me....also worked on my harley which is what I bought it for.
I swear I've learned about almost all of these products tested here the hard way, that being said for the real men that still believe in getting things done hands on knows and respect everything Project Farm puts through the ringer, let's patreon this guy's hard work. Keep up the good work sir.
I’m starting college in a different state soon. As a young girl without her family , you might understand why I’m so thankful to you right now. Audew is definitely in my shopping list! Thank you! 💜
Go with the Top Vision. It's just about the same performance and is $20, and the price is trending downwards according to CamelCamelCamel.com. Price for the Audew jumped $10 when this video came out.
After watching this video I bought Audew. It kept sitting in my car for a few months. I had no opportunity to use it until few days ago, I drove my car with my friends to Freeport Tx, when we returned, I tried to start my car, but failed. I realized that we had a big trouble. The battery was dead, we felt so bad, I opened the trunk trying to find anything that can be helpful, then I found Audew jump starter. I connected it to my battery and immediately started my car! That moment when the engine started to crank I felt so great, my friend almost teared down. On the way we drove home my friend and I kept talking how great this jump starter was and how lucky we were. Audew save my day! Thank you for making this great video.
How many years are the lithium batteries in the jump packs expected to be good for? Do they recommend storage at 100% charge or is it better for longevity to be a slightly lower state of charge? I had a sealed lead acid jump pack that's gotten tired and have just put a smaller standard flooded lead acid in a milk crate with jumper cables for portable jump duty, but that's not something easily tossed in the trunk. If the Audew lasts years, it'd be nice. The 16+ voltage seems a bit of a concern if connecting to a car with no battery to limit the voltage, if it has an ECU or sensitive 12V electronics.
NOCO was one of the highest rated and popular jump starters on Amazon, and I was just about to pull the trigger and decide to check out if PF had a review on it. I'm glad I watched this video. I saved a lot of money.
I was in the same boat as Naveen Kumar. I saw Amazon’s high review on the NOCOjump starter and was seriously considering buying it. So glad I watched your review!
I know I'm late to this video, but very well tested. One thing that might be useful is for lithium batteries used in bikes, it's recommended to turn on the headlight for a few seconds in freezing weather but fire cranking to allow the battery to somewhat warm up. The same probably transfers to these battery packs, if they have a flash light built in flick that on for a little while before cranking
My nephews son turned me on to this TH-cam thing so I couid listen to my old radio shows from when I was a lad and a young man , when he discovered Automobiles as a hobby we spend a lot of time together , since alot of times I can't get On the garage floor like I used to or stand under the lift with him for long periods of time your information is a great help especially since I can't remember things I knew fast enough. We watch you and a few other fellas and it's a tremendous help . I went to work for Plymouth at the Old North Assembly plant after I came home from Korea , I was there for over 30 years and I would have hired you at the drop of a wooden nickel. PS I have an exhaust hose for my garage so I can run the car in the winter while lashing valves or checking the timing or anything else ..it's not fancy, just metal flexible tube ,heat resistant sealing material and a doggy door in the garage door . I'm sure you can probably get a decent one with an updraft fan , but i used it for years with lead gas and motor lubricants containing PCBs . The simulation was great But I sure would have loved to count the cranks before each charger actually fired the engine ..

@@3nertia I don't think that's how supply and demand works in any respectable manner... If you aren't able to supply it you'll charge more both to be able to continue building more units and to possibly upgrade infrastructure to then be capable of selling more units at either the old selling price or close to it.
@Sven3xs Never heard of it, and that rarely happens, not to mention that would also mean they have a good backstock and are already capable of keeping up with or able to match demand at that time or otherwise able to meet demand within a short period to continue with current pricing. Expansion itself costs money which might be needed in this case considering they didn't or don't have good stock of the item. Prices will go up to meet production costs unless the framework was already there to begin with. Similar problems have occurred to other companies namely GPU ones where they undercut the competition by too much and ended up losing profits, it's why companies nowadays will charge a bit more rather than continue to undercut, or they will charge to about the same as the competition.
@avgrim77 yeah and now if you put something on your 'Wish List' the next time you go back to it .. it will be more $$$...noticed Amazon doing that a lot lately......grrr...supply and demand my butt...they KNOW when you browse something and it triggers a built-in deal...

Lol... Its funny, saw that with a vid cam light... They do use the same case, but the prints and innerts are different! Prices are pretty different! Be sure to look for quality in printing and for lame numbers
Haha!! I was just getting ready to buy one of these and low and behold consumer reports....umm I mean Project Farm comes out with a testing video! Awesome!!!
I always check this channel's playlist before I purchase a tool. The piece of mind I get from the rigorous testing here is worth every second I spend watching this channel. I just bought the Audew charger for my Ford E-450 6.0 diesel engine. Diesel engines have much higher compression than most ordinary gas engines, making it a lot more challenging to jump-start them. After viewing this video, I believe that the Audew will do the job. Thanks again! BTW Amazon has them at this time. That's where I bought mine.
Thanks for doing this! I own a car wash and I have to jump customer's cars a few times a week. Just ordered the Audew on Amazon. This will save me from having to bring my truck around to hook up the jumper cables!
I have been watching these project farm's videos for quite a while now. I love how you give facts with out the "fluff" so to speak. You truly are my favorite channel to watch. Keep it up !
While I'm not a regular viewer, any time I need to compare some relatively niche products, this channel is the first thing that comes to mind. You're a gift to humanity, sir.
@@Dr.Westside There may be a lot of differences, but none of them matter. People worry more about oil filters than how fat they are, or how much they smoke! And that really does matter!!!
No really, it's a shame that manufacturers can print anything on their devices without the device coming close to that. Look at the first test. 1500A (or 500A starting) labeled device, putting out smoke at 300A. Sorry, but I don't see any potential for 1500A, not even 500A. You just can't trust manufacturers anymore. If you believe what they say, you're going to be very disappointed and maybe badly ripped off.

Great video! I have a Noco40 but it has not jumped a dead battery several times in the past but I thought battery was too drained to be jumped. Bought an Audew because of this review. Coincidentally, my Jeep would not start this morning. The Noco would not start it but the Audew started no problem!! Saved me! Thanks again for a great review!
The wide variety of equipment tested in a wide variety of situations with quick clear commanding voice are pure gold / lithium! Your videos improve our options in this free-market economy, thank you!
Your test of the AUDEW made me a buyer and since then it has started a dozer, backhoe and several cars. What a joy not to depend on jumper cables all the time. Essential equipment for long off road exploration in Nevada. Used to carry an extra battery, what a hassle that was.
Years ago, bought the cheapest one I could find...I think about $24. Never used it for my car but rescued strangers in parking lots on 2 occasions. One had a 4 cyl. the other a 6 cyl. engine. Attached the unit, which turned it on, waited 1 min. then cranked the engines. Worked very well.
Viking: "Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee....I'm done...." and I wouldn't worry about someone accidentally powering up the Noco. It doesn't work when you power it up on purpose...

Got a awdew from my grandad. He said " This will get your massy (Ferguson) started when it's cold or hot, come rain or shine. She'll get it done she will. errrr..... it was actually mentioned in the video that 3 of them are probably from the same factory because of how similar they look and the carrying cases are almost exact copies. But yeah, almost EVERY electronic device nowadays gets made in some asian factory where at least a dozen USA companies also let their devices be made.
I am in the market for a lithium-ion booster pack, and had actually considered the Harbor freight brand. I am sure glad I saw your work on this subject. Thanks again and keep these coming!
I wish there was a legit “PF” trademark for quality products. A lot of my hardware and home purchases are based off the in-depth testing and reviews by Project Farm
I actually have one older DBPOWER model on my parents car that already saved us from being stranded with a dead battery far from home and as soon I got my own car bought a suaoki T3 with a tire compressor just like the ones you tested. A big test to those battery boosters would be trying to start that big block on the RV So great job testing and looking forward to what you are testing next.
Your tests are so scientific and your videos are so well polished that I've got to ask if these are things you cobble together yourself or if you are an engineer with one of the national forensics companies with a full production department. Either way, they are outstanding.

It’s like you have a window into my mind. I was thinking I needed to research the newer lithium battery packs to replace my old one. And a couple days later this video pops up. I really love your channel!
Your videos are far more insightful than any other resource available. With Everything you review, the information you give is based 100% upon facts as opposed to others who base their conclusion mainly upon biased (paid) opinions. It seems like you can’t be bought, and you’re not just another influencer pushing a paid promotion on its customer base, and I have tremendous respect for that. Also love that you don’t waste any time and get straight to then useful information which we seek. I can’t stand watching similar videos and having to listen to them babble on and on about what they think. this type of ‘cut to the chase’ approach which you have is much more effective and thoroughly keeps your audience’s attention engaged. I will always watch your videos and support your channel, Kudos sir!
I'm so glad I watch this video before buying one, I was really thinking on buying the genius boost before but not no more, thank you Project Farm for the awesome reviews and product comparisons.
NOCO didn't technically lied. It says 7,000 joules 3s, which if you do the math, is like 194 amps for 3 seconds. Most of the tests done here are much more demanding that that.
the genius is a piece of shit my buddy has one and he tried to boost my jeep twice at diferent times and it didnt even turn my 6 clyinder engine over nevermind start it. pos. and it was brand new took it back and got another one and same shit didnt work. had to jump my jeep with my other truck-------no problem. dont waste your money on the not so genius. and this was in july not winter.
It's too bad because the GB40 IS very high quality and rugged but it's battery had bulged on me and failed to work. I didn't even get a chance or need for a boost and didn't even have it for a year, maybe 8-10 months.
Based on your review I purchase the Andrew jump starter; it truly lives up to expectations. Jumped the dead battery on my 4x4 and it only used 2% of charge. I used it about four more times and never dropped below 94%. Best of all it fits perfectly in a side pocket of my vehicle so I carry it with me all the times. Good review, thanks.
Thats what I thought, he did something wrong there, the Noco I bought is and absolute animal, they make a great product in many sizes, maybe that one wasn't comparable? and he didn't use it properly ??
FYI that is a Gen 1 NOCO. They had some lithium battery issues. The new ones are awesome. If you have round LED indicators you have a Gen 1. If you have square indicators you have the new model with the new lithium cells and the beefier jumper clamps
After watching this video, I purchased this Audew and used it 7-8 times the first year with no issues. I have jumped three vehicles in a row off of one charge and it was still at 77% charge. I have been so impressed with the Audew that I purchased a second one. I highly recommend and would definitely purchase again if needed.
I managed to score a "1200A" Balight brand jump pack for only $29.99!!! Was on a big sale on Amazon. I have been incredibly impressed with it. Just started a Northstar V8 without a battery helping twice in below freezing temperatures! Has been a life saver numerous times and works better than jumper cables. Really excited for this testing!
@@ProjectFarm Mine actually seems nearly the same as that Sanrock unit, other than a slightly different case design and amperage rating. Same carrying case, same cables, and I wouldn't be surprised if companies obviously fudge the rating. It also looks like the Viking unit is definitely from the exact same factory as the Sanrock starter. Even the Topvision seems very similar, but obviously a different pack inside. Basically all the Chinese units that scored top 4 on the first test are likely from the same factories. They definitely work and will start even large V8 engines in my experience. Great value overall as long as they last. Wow that Viking was a failure though. Great test!
Thank you so much for this amazing and comprehensive review. My car wouldn't start today because I accidentally left the driver side car door open for over 10 hours so your video comparison definitely helped me to choose the right one. Amazon reviews can be misleading so that is when videos like yours help us consumers in choosing quality products.
I'm always amazed at how you've got a video for nearly anything and everything I am looking to buy. The way you test everything so comprehensively always makes me confident that I'm making a good purchase decision. Thank you for everything you do.
Todd, you are probably the hardest working TH-camr out there! Being as bright as you are you probably have your own version of AI to go through and love and comment on thousands upon thousands of comments, otherwise that alone would be a full time job! I have an expensive idea for a video series so I became a patreon supporter. I figure if others do likewise it would remove the financial burden. Here is the idea..... I learned the hard way a long time ago you cannot tell a chainsaw or a generator from its cover. I would purchase cheap thinking it was all I could afford only to find that cheap sometimes quickly lead to useless. Cheap equipment with motors tend to have only one compression ring, only one nut holding the bar, etc. I think a tear down comparison (like you have done on so many things) exposing what manufacturers are getting away with might be very interesting and help your subscribers save money by not buying the stuff that will soon break. A head to head with a Honda generator and a Generac showing only performance is one thing. But revealing what type of cylinders, pistons, valves, etc. are in each might cement which is really best. Just a thought. (You will find I have many ideas, most are bad.) Love your channel. Ken
Hi Ken, Thank you very much for the positive comments, for supporting the channel via Patreon, and for the terrific video idea! I'd love to test and then tear down generators, chainsaws, and all sorts of power tools. I'll see what I can do. The jump starter video was expensive and I have several other pretty expensive videos on the way. The cost of testing products is a huge factor. I never accept any form of sponsorship from companies, decline sales commission opportunities, such as becoming an Amazon affiliate, etc. to ensure that the testing is never influenced by corporations and to guard going down the path of chasing a sales commission through the Amazon affiliate program. How can test results be trusted if I'm getting a profit from a sales commission or getting paid by the manufacturer of a product? Anyway, I spend every penny and then some of the Patreon money and greatly appreciate your support. Thanks again and best regards, Todd
Yep...it didn't help me when I needed it to start my 3.6L engine when I left some radios on. It would crank but I don't think voltage was high enough for the computers, relays, fuel pump, etc to fire it.
@@ProjectFarm I used your analysis to buy Imazing jump starter. It already saved me on a few occasions last week. I probably should replace my tractor's battery or perhaps dynamo is acting up (?), but regardless, that thing started up my tractor each time with no issues. Thanks!

Your reviews and experiments and let's go attitude make me so happy, they're a pleasure to watch and learn from. I've purchased multiple things after watching your videos based on their performance during your demonstrations. I had already bought Topvision before the lockdowns hit expecting my battery to die out since I wasn't driving anywhere for a weeks/months on end during the worst of it. Started my car up easily on the first go every time. Got it on an Amazon lightning deal for $65.00, very happy with it.
I have a Schumacher Lithium Jump Starter 600 amp. During the lock down and subsequent work at home time, my truck would sit for 1-2 weeks at a time without being used. I was using a trickle charger but then it malfunctioned. So I was using my jumper every time I would use my truck. This thing was awesome. It would give me 4-5 starts on one charge. The unit cost me about $80 at WalMart. It was totally worth it and I highly recommend these jumpers to everyone. I especially think about college kids who park their cars in long term storage and may not drive them for weeks at a time. These devices are must have. It also works on my motorcycle.
@@eideticex I disagree ... while there are plenty of things that are crap (I won't buy any electronic device) ... toolboxes are a hidden gem .... best bang for the buck IMO. Folks at garagejournal forum agree. They have a huge thread of rating HF stuff. IMO wrenches and sockets are good to go too. I own a floor jack that has been a great find. Other things are likely good enough for most .... i.e. some electric stuff like grinders and all ... but I don't use those hard. You just have to know what is good and what isn't.
I have owned the harbor freight one for about two years now and its still working great for me, I use it to start my 6.7L cummins from time to time and many of friends cars when they die in the winter. The one hes using Looks like a dud.
January 2024 and I watched this to check how the GB40 performed before buying. After watching I decided to buy Audew instead! It is now branded Andeman Epower-155 in the UK with the letter A on the unit. (£55.19 with a special eBay promotion.) Mine came with a UK plugged transformer (stamped Output: 5V-3A max) (=15W), USB A to USB C cable (and C to C cable), 15v to car cigarette &of course the charge leads in a sturdy padded case. It arrived charged to 81% so I plugged it in. The highest power inputted was 4.83v and 2.43A (occasionally dropping to 1.3A), and it took over two hours to get from 81 to 100%. Instruction leaflets says: "Approx. 3 hours to full charge through the Type-C input port. 500A (3s), 400A (5s). Predicted life 3-5 years. Weight: 595g" My scales read 624.9g and another scale reads 623g but hey what 5%?! Anyway, 3 hours would mean input of 20Ah/3hr or 6.667amps but /.7 for typical Li-Ion charge efficiency 9.5amps. My USB meter can't handle 10amps for more than a short period and not sure any of my USB-C cables can. (I have found a 6 amp rated cable on eBay.) However, the spec printed on the back of the device says 20000mAh (74Wh) Input Type-C PD 18W this infers a most optimistic time to full charge of 4.1 hours or closer to 6 hours allowing for 70% charging efficiency. and indeed with the supplied transformer probably 7hours. Not had to use it yet as my daily is good and other two are on trickle chargers. Initial observations - it is a pretty object with a shiny face and a plastic case that may not survive a slide off the wing of a car onto the road - IMHO it needs a bumper jacket. Clamp springs are strong and should give a good contact. I have my fingers crossed.

If anybody had their Topvision fail on them, please post. Mine worked for about a year then failed. Only used it four times. There's chance that the failure was due to a loose battery post, I put too much vaseline on one of them. But just curious, because the product went completely off the market several months ago.
Denise, Awesome! Glad it did the job. That's impressive considering the outdoor temp!

Full agreement from me. A video that tests a dozen products, WITH TESTING NUMBERS, sure beats any "specific product review" at any time of the day.

I have enjoyed my Audew for years. Has no problem starting my deisels... I appreciate you doing the comparisons.
Great information on having used it for years. Thank you
What is the exact model of yours please?
As usual...concise, straightforward and objective. I absolutely love this channel.

@avgrim77 And that's the problem with Amazon heh. When demand increased, prices USED to drop ...

I am in the market for a lithium-ion booster pack, and had actually considered the Harbor freight brand. I am sure glad I saw your work on this subject. Thanks again and keep these coming!
Thanks, will do!
I wished I watched before buying my noco junk. I will be returning it.
I wish there was a legit “PF” trademark for quality products. A lot of my hardware and home purchases are based off the in-depth testing and reviews by Project Farm
Great! Thanks! I'm actually working on that!
Project Farm that’s awesome!
Bryce Rodriguez - Agreed! I'd look for a "PF" stamp of approval before I would a UL listing!
@@ProjectFarm - That's awesome! I really hope it comes to fruition! Sooner the better!
Audew is now out of stock in the US, with 30 day line to get it. They put a note in their website thanking PF. Its a start!
I actually have one older DBPOWER model on my parents car that already saved us from being stranded with a dead battery far from home and as soon I got my own car bought a suaoki T3 with a tire compressor just like the ones you tested.
A big test to those battery boosters would be trying to start that big block on the RV
So great job testing and looking forward to what you are testing next.
Thank you!
Your tests are so scientific and your videos are so well polished that I've got to ask if these are things you cobble together yourself or if you are an engineer with one of the national forensics companies with a full production department. Either way, they are outstanding.
I cobble together the testing devices. Thanks for watching.
@@ProjectFarm Hey Project. I am knee-deep in testing fake lumen specs from Amazon. I have nearly 40 flashlights I bought from Amazon. All but 3 failed specs.
Care to join me?
@@m4rvinmartian lmk if you ever make any videos about it. That would be hella interesting buying a bunch of falsely rated flashlights from wish or something like that. Dope series for sure
@@ProjectFarm You are one awesome cobbler! (lol) I've purchased several different products based solely upon 'your' outstanding analyses and have recommended your YT channel to my friends.. Hat's-off to you!
I really appreciate the combination of bench testing for measurable attributes combined with the practical testing. I also liked the observation that a few of the products were likely the same thing, with the external case and packaging by different companies. I have noticed that as well with so many products these days.
Thank you!
I would like to see how well these function after being left in both the cold and heat for 30+ days to replicate real world use. Great job on your videos!
Great test idea!
Yeah I was thinking the same thing leave them in the cold car in this Chicago weather for a couple days
I have a Hero battery starter in the car year round that has worked every time.
Lincoln Jones on baby it’s finna be cold asl tomah
They work just recharge after use or twice a year
FYI: Just picked up the Topvision charger on Amazon and there is both a 15% in store coupon, plus once you receive and register the charger (for the 2 year warranty) they give you a $20 Amazon gift card if you fill out a quick survey. Basically it was $50 shipped.
hey man, I bought my Topvision all the way back in 2019, and had no idea about the $20 Amazon Gift Card, checked out the topvision site, and am now getting that gift card from my order, lol. thanks so much for posting this.
It’s like you have a window into my mind. I was thinking I needed to research the newer lithium battery packs to replace my old one. And a couple days later this video pops up. I really love your channel!
Thank you very much!
Thanks so much!
I'm so glad I watch this video before buying one, I was really thinking on buying the genius boost before but not no more, thank you Project Farm for the awesome reviews and product comparisons.
Thank you for the feedback!
I didn't even get a chance or need for a boost and didn't even have it for a year, maybe 8-10 months.
sad for me i buy a genious G1000 CHARGER maintainer and you have to reset the thing to charge the whole batery because it stuck at 85% whole time
Based on your review I purchase the Andrew jump starter; it truly lives up to expectations. Jumped the dead battery on my 4x4 and it only used 2% of charge. I used it about four more times and never dropped below 94%. Best of all it fits perfectly in a side pocket of my vehicle so I carry it with me all the times. Good review, thanks.
You mean the Audew? It's not available anymore unfortunately.
@@m4rvinmartian you can find it on eBay
@@TrojanLube69 thanks, yes. I went there after posting, but forgot to update.
If you read the manual on the NoCo GB40,,, hold down on the triangle to put it in to 1000amp mode. If you just turn it on it puts out less.
The NoCo sucks. I had someone try to jumpstart my car doing that a year ago & it couldn't put out any worth of lick to get my engine to turn over.
@@guyguz7 I have one too, 3+ years old now and i've had no issues with it. No problem starting a completely dead 5.4L v8
I have 3 of the noco jumpers and have never had any problems, even started my girlfriends cars at -10° F last winter after sitting for a week.
Thanks for sharing.
really? that product is no longer available on amazon, how did you purchase it? (your commet was from 2 days ago)
@john-eq8cu did you find one?
Nice!! Impressive performance to start the Northstar!
Great test!
@@802Garage got a link for it? this was all i found > www.amazon.com/s?k=balight+1200a&ref=nb_sb_noss
Great feedback. Thank you!
Now I see what they did with all of their leftover Nintendo Switch cases LOL
lol
I'm always amazed at how you've got a video for nearly anything and everything I am looking to buy. The way you test everything so comprehensively always makes me confident that I'm making a good purchase decision. Thank you for everything you do.
You are welcome!
Love the reviews you conduct, and love when you point out the manufacturers claims on their packaging, pointing them out with your pen.
Thanks for the feedback.
People are going to rely on these. It's sad that certain companies actually sell something like this that literally doesn't work.
That's called corporate greed.
Yep...it didn't help me when I needed it to start my 3.6L engine when I left some radios on. It would crank but I don't think voltage was high enough for the computers, relays, fuel pump, etc to fire it.
I was thinking about that too, pretty sad. But in their defense, they might start a small car, just not a truck or diesel like the video.
telih I think his ranger has a little 4 cylinder.
I havent had a problem with one yet but i buy mine on amazon and read the reviews
I am so happy you included tractor in this analysis -- that is exactly my use case, for which I'm shopping for right now.
Thanks for sharing.
@@ProjectFarm I used your analysis to buy Imazing jump starter. It already saved me on a few occasions last week. I probably should replace my tractor's battery or perhaps dynamo is acting up (?), but regardless, that thing started up my tractor each time with no issues. Thanks!
Thanks for the video, my old jump starter pack (which has come in handy for me and my neighbors several times) got stolen and it gives me peace of mind to see your testing to know I'm getting the best one

Just bought the Top Vision G26. Whats scary is it wont work on a completely dead battery. Still carry jumping cables just in case.
Thanks for the feedback.
This just reinforces my belief that just stick to hand tools when it comes to harbor freight.
I have a dbpower so far it has helped me to start my 3.5 several times
Thank you!
Lesson learned: Never trust Harbor Freight when it comes to batteries!
Or anything really. All they are good for is tools you know your going to break so that you don't mess up your good tools.
Thank you!
That has been my experience for sure!
(£55.19 with a special eBay promotion.)
Mine came with a UK plugged transformer (stamped Output: 5V-3A max) (=15W), USB A to USB C cable (and C to C cable), 15v to car cigarette &of course the charge leads in a sturdy padded case.
Thanks for the feedback.
You just helped me make this best purchase. My wife was in harbor freight looking at the Viking and I said let me do some research. I have seen many of your videos and the audew was in the Amazon cart before the end of the hour.
