I think a really cool video idea would be a tour of your shop and all the tools and things you've collected over the time doing the channel
Thank you for the video idea!
Really good idea!
I agree
This is a great idea. I'd love a behind-the-scenes tour.
And which tools are your tools of choice from each ‘category’.
This guy knows how to make testing videos.
1. no stupid intro clip with stupid graphics and horrible music.
2. jumps right to the point, tells you what he is gonna do in less than 5 seconds!
3. no nonsense and gets you the information you need.
4. when he is doing testing, he is on point, tries his best to be apples to apples, and tries to be fair and impartial regardless of the brand.
5. consistent!
6. over all great attitude and loves to do his work.
This man deserves a trophy annually.
And without any gov't assistance.🤣
Thanks!
1000000% agree on #1. I absolutely despise video intros. No one cares about intros but the creator.
PF is both a public service AND a National Treasure!
This channel is literally the best
We are honored and proud to be included in your Top 10 list!
His videos contain everything.
1 Tests as professional as possible
2 Information you need
3 Sense of humor
4 Entertaining
5 No sponsors
6 Graphs (they help you see the evidence)
7 And overall just an amazing guy
Thanks so much!
OH MY GOD HE RESPONDED THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE
The _"VERY_ _IMPRESSIVE"_ is the highest accolade a tool can strive for.
Good Point!
This product was given a "VERY IMPRESSIVE" by Project Farm.
Sounds like a merch slogan!
"We're going to test that"
Sends shivers up and down their spines.
As a welding inspector I can say that your weld penetration test was legit and a very clever way of checking pen depth
Thanks for the feedback!
The amount of work, thought, and preparation put into all these tests is a ton! Goes very unnoticed. Appreciate it a lot.
Thank you very much!
Yeah agree. One of the best channels on TH-cam. Very valid testing, no wasted time, gets right to the point. Just brilliant. Thank you.
That and he takes the time to reply to almost (if not every) comment! That, to me, is absolutely AMAZING! Nobody else that I watch does that.
On the contrary, every video has tons of comments applauding his work. I also appreciate it but it definitely does not go unnoticed.
I can't believe I only managed to find this channel late November. You are a rarity of not only being incredibly in-depth with your comparative videos, but limited ads, succinct and concise reviews, rigorous and empirical testing standards (you don't get enough credit for this) and no awkward attempt at humor or wasting our time. I am glad to have subscribed, and miss reviewers like yourself in the first decade of TH-cam with minimalist video channels getting to the heart of what we want. I want to start doing repairs and need some DIY tools, so you will be essential in that pursuit. Best wishes to you and your health, that amazing garage of yours, and many more years of success for this channel. I will definitely be here for the future, and have your previous videos on my list to watch later!
Welcome Thanks! Thanks for the feedback.
Honestly you are the highest most detailed product tester I've ever seen on TH-cam, we really appreciate your hard work.
Thank you very much!

@@ProjectFarm I'll never look at this comment the same ever again. 😢
@@ProjectFarmmy whole life is a lie
Awesome, appreciate the time stamps, but since it's project farm I'm going to watch the entire video, every second, to make sure that TH-cam knows this guy is a national treasure.
@@kyesniper agreed. I didn't see he already had the listings in the description so I just timestamped them out
Your reviews are hands down the best. I trust you more than consumer reports! Thank you for making these videos
Thanks and you are welcome!
Your content is basically perfect. Every video I am consistently amazed. I watch reviews for things I dont even plan on buying. Watching your testing methods, thoroughness, and explanations are incredibly interesting. If only most online review / testing sites were even 1/100th as good as yours I might start trusting them.
Thanks!
I thought the same thing. He asked recently about the direction of the channel. I believe this is it. This is what people want. Exactly what he does is exactly what people want.
AT-205 really is a miracle product. It's currently holding back a rear main leak and power steering leak in my 04 Suburban. I haven't had to add either in over a year since the first use of it.
Thank you for sharing!
I had great results with AT-205 also. It used to be half the price it is now until Scotty Kilmer testified to it's effectiveness.
Completely agree. Saved an old accord power steering leak and oil leak through the not old valve cover gasket.
If it starts leaking again.@@aaronmoore3050
A test of brake pads would be wonderful--OEM vs. popular aftermarket. Rotors would be another. Many thanks !!
Thank you for the video idea!
Autozone has a lifetime warranty on their pads, get whichever ones, wear em out and get free new ones forever rince and repeat bro
@@brianbristofer-woods6788 How do they even make money
Great channel! I'm 56yrs old and when I was growing up I had to learn the hard way or ask around to find out which products were any good. A lot of the time it was a shot in the dark. Keep up the good work!
Thanks, will do!
Man, I LOVE this channel!! I wish I knew of it years ago! Imagine how many hundreds of dollars I could have saved… At least I know now! This channel is such a service to everyone! Thank you!!
You are welcome!
It'd be interesting to see a test on hand files. Longevity material removal, hardness etc
Thank you for the video idea!
I second this. We already learned about back and forth vs just forward strokes on Fireball Tool's channel but he only used one brand of file, a pricey one if I remember right. Would be nice to see some good cheap files
I take care of my files but they go down hill too fast. The cheap ones I've tried were short lived.
@@SparxI0 He picked one of the most expensive files you can get. I wasn't surprised that it didn't care about back strokes. Most of us work in production shops where the boss/purchasing manager isn't buying us the best tools. :(
@@larryschweitzer4904 I buy the old good ones that are "worn out" and unloved at yard sales and such. They refurbish and cut like new after a good vinegar soaking. It's nasty but it works at least once. I've not re-refurbished any lately.
I'm (still) so curious on what the tool/product storage is like. Also how much of the items you keep for either personal use, potential future videos, or maybe resell or give away.
Good question! Seems like a great video topic!
Count me in if you do an auction for used tools or equipment.
Another year of GREAT videos, you do an amazing job on these and deserve to be commended. I join many others in saying we are looking forward to another year of comparisons!!!
You're welcome!
I'll never get tired of seeing the innovative rigs you create for testing the various products you showcase. Most of them look simple, but looks can be deceiving, and the amount of thought and ingenuity that goes into your test jigs in order to provide a level testing field is far superior to any other testing channel I've seen.
I also really like and appreciate that you go out of pocket for the products, and refuse corporate sponsorship as that is honestly the only way to have a fair test. So if you recommend a product, we the consumers can be sure that it was the better product of those that you tested, period.
Thanks, Todd, you rock!
Thanks!
The amount of creativity it takes to come up with your test methods is extremely impressive. It’s why I watch your channel even when I don’t necessarily care about the products being tested.
Hello, how are you doing? I hope you’re having a great day so far👋how’s your weekend too. God bless you🙏🙏❤️
Thanks!
Always love the year-end roundups. Also, congrats on 3m+ subs!
Thank you!
Make a list of tools every year, watch video's like these and then check out the holiday deals. Todd never disappoints.
I am continually gobsmacked at all the genius testing equipment you use. The time and expense you employ is beyond measure. Thank you so much for all your efforts. MUCH RESPECT!
Thanks and you are welcome!
This was a great summary for 2023. Thanks for all you do! Keep up the good work!
(I own more than half of these best ones now thanks to you, haha)
Thanks, will do!
The Milwaukee inflator is very quick and pretty quiet.
I have to add air to my vehicles every couple weeks and this does it without waking the neighbors in the middle of the night. Once you get a few feet away, the quiet performance is impressive and appreciated.
Right now Home Depot has these as one of the free tools with the BOGO deals for the holidays. Get the charger, two 5ah batteries and the tool for $199, just $20 more than buying the tool only at $179.
Thank you for sharing!
Every couple weeks? You have a leak?
@@joshuagibson2520 Multiple cars, some with slow leaks.
With the current price of tires, I don't mind adding a little bit of air rather than spending for new tires.
@@joshuagibson2520or its just cold weather?
What use case makes you add air every couple of weeks? Is this like a racing track, very curious.
I look forward to these best-of videos each year! Thank you Todd!
Thank you very much!
Yes sir! We all do!
Dont always have the time to watch but when I do you are always one of the videos I will watch. Thanks for what you do.
You are welcome!
Suggested video: Best cellphone full body protector case, like: Otterbox vs Crave vs FNTCase vs Miracase, as an example.
Great suggestion! Thank you!
Yeah, break a bunch of iphones please
That would be really hard to narrow down. So many brands people support. Rockform, incase, probably 15 others that aren't Chinese knockoffs.....and are the 9.99 knockoffs as good.
I've also suggested screen protectors, maybe a Mashup of the two for one video
@@Deere2154DThat's a good idea, would like to see H9 glass screen protector test, other that screen protector film. btw full body protector cases usually does have its own screen protector already integrated, most. ✌️
The transparent testing is the best! Anytime I need to buy something you might have tested, I always check here to see if you tested the product.
Thanks!
I do the same thing
100%. I always check here too when buying something outside of my wheelhouse or a new tool that may have a better option.
Thanks for all you do. I bought the Milwaukee tire inflater after watching your test. I love it.
You are welcome! Thanks for sharing.
I bought the Milwaukee inflator for my dad for christmas. He always brings his 18v impact with him in case of road-side repairs anyway, it's another great tool!
Thanks for sharing.
Good morning everyone!!! Happy Sunday!!!
Good morning!
As always, a great video. Thorough, informative, unbiased.
Anyone else waiting for the “Very Unimpressive: The 10 Worst Products of 2023” video?
Todd is too positive to do this lol.
@@majist0you're looking at it wrong. "Top ten products to avoid"
Thank you. All you do for us viewers, it means mountains!
You are welcome!
One thing i know is that since i came through your channel few years ago, i never buy a product without looking at your videos first, i really appreciate all the hard work and your time you find to make our choices easier and better, keep up the good work🙏🏻
Thanks, will do!
I've been using the original Drill Doctor ever since I got mine for Christmas so long ago that I can't remember. It spoils you. I have never used a dull drill since.

I don’t care what you upload I’m always supporting your hard work!
I appreciate that
Whenever I need background noise on at work, I set up a play list of all PF videos and let them play away!
For the generators, how much fuel was used per generator? Was that only 60 minutes for a full tank?
Fantastic as always! Every time I see cousin Eddie and the Farmabago being used and abused, I can't stop laughing. Thanks for all you do!
You are welcome!
I think Cousin Eddie needs his own channel!
Great reviews and tests! Happy New Year!
Thanks! Happy New Year!
Todd, you are so clever coming up with all of your tests. So many factors that I don't even think of, you've taken into consideration for all of us! Very impressive!
Hello, how are you doing? I hope you’re having a great day so far👋how’s your weekend too. God bless you🙏🙏❤️
Thanks!
I love this channel! No annoying music, and no pestering visual distractions to endure. Honest testing results because no sponsors are accepted. My kind of channel. I've watched just about all the videos and want more. A segment I'd like to see is which least expensive E-Bike is best. Also which least expensive E-Tricycle is best. Also least expensive stand on E -Scooter is best.
Thanks! Thanks for the suggestions.
Keep up the awesome work PF!!
Thanks, will do!
Need a video on upf clothing, best workskin shirts best neck gaiters etc
Thank you for the video idea!
It was great to see this recap of the year's best products. I had forgotten about some of the older ones like the kinetic energy ropes. I enjoy all of your comparison videos even if they are products I'm not likely to purchase. Your tests are objective and relevant and the mechanisms you build to perform those tests are ingenious. We can only hope that your style of testing with its creativity and rigor becomes more mainstream so that consumers are better informed about their purchases and manufacturers are forced to compete on performance instead of just marketing.
Thanks!
Worked on towboats for a long time, and our main face wires for facing up to barges was 5/8 or 3/4 wire ropes, and facing up on empty barges was a pain being 12 feet up and trying to hold 200 pounds of wire and drop them on a button lol When they switched to the kevlar plasma line at like 5 pounds,it changed our whole life lol
Thanks for sharing.
Brings back all the memories of this year and all the fun tests, thank you for your hard work and dedication to the stats, its always neat to see how tools can hold up to the torture tests and see the real strength of what your trusting to work every time you need it to! Also, my only vid idea I could think of would be; have you ever thought about testing those air bag jacks out? Like those ones made by VEVOR? I've seen them before, but I've always wondered how they would hold up to like a normal floor jack, and if they have any better advantages than one too. Anyways, thanks again for all the cool videos this year, I can't wait to see what next year holds for fun tests! Take care and be safe out there!
P.S. My Gooloo gp4000 has still been kicking strong since last year when I got it, It cranks everything from my RV to my lawn mower, and I use it about once a week! Gotta love that thing, it just keeps on going!
You are welcome! Thanks for sharing.
I don’t know what I would do without this channel! Keep up the good work!!
Thank you very much!
I love your work, sir! Your no nonsense reviews, while maybe not ultra-scientifically accurate, are more of a reflection of what real people put these devices up against. You level the field as best you can and then ask the widgets to do their best, and that's all we can really ask for! Some things you've recommended I have purchased, so I've got a few of your faves in this video floating around. Like others have said, a tour of your shop and farm would be awesome to see but I understand if you want to keep it private. I'd also love to see what tools you've tested have made it into the "keeper" category and have become a part of your life as useful tools. Happy holidays and New Year to you and yours!
Thanks! Thanks for the feedback.
After going over many videos of yours for powertools, I ended up buying into the Milwaukee ecosystem (even tho no store locally sells them) as your testing showed consistently that, while more costly, they money doesnt go to waste. Including this tire inflator. It is very quick, and the memory sets are very handy. (I just hope the hose holds up).
Thank you.
You are welcome! Thanks for sharing.
Love all your content I would love to see you do some work flashlights I think that would be a very interesting thing you can test
Thanks for the idea!
This goes in my saved folder for future reference!
Subject idea: Since we're headed into winter, it would be great to see a leather waterproofing test for gloves and boots. I've tried some great products and some not so great, and some work great on, say, boots, but waxy, dull, sticky gloves not so much, or boots you do work in vs the boots you want to look decent in public in.
Thanks for sharing. Thanks for the suggestion.
I like this idea
I've used everything from Sno Proof to Bear Grease and Mink Oil to Ballistol. Sno-Proof seemed best.
I have been following you for a little while now, and because of your research, I’ve bought accordingly and haven’t been disappointed…😉
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Mr. Farm! I always appreciate your content. Looking forward to 2024.
You are welcome!
I bought a Noco GBX155 after watching your video and couldn't be happier with my purchase. My car has a rotary engine which takes a lot of force to turn over, and the Noco works just as PF said it would. No wonder its on this year's top 10 list!
Thanks for the feedback.
I've seen a few of your videos for testing various products, and I just wanted to comment that you (Project Farm) have one of the very best product/research/testing & shopping channels I've seen. The time, effort and extent of your research for meting out good vs junk products is commendable, Thank you!
Thanks so much!
YES! For the Honda Generator and Milwaukee Tire Inflator. I own both of these products and haven't had a single problem. Both are solid tools!
Thanks for the feedback.
Great videos as always. It's that time of year again when a workshop can get cold. A test of diesel space heaters would be interesting. Testing the big brands with the cheap ones.

It was last year, but you recommended the Sylvania headlight restoration kit. It made the headlights on my 2012 Honda Ridgeline (always parked outdoors) look like new. It's been almost a year now and they still look great! I need to try that Permatex windshield kit next. :D Thank you!

You should do a video on the best aftermarket wheel hubcap covers!
A good long term test for the Jumpstarters (and probably some other items) would be how they perform after long term storage in hot/cold weather. I carry mine in the trunk of my car and the pannier on my bike, I'm a but worried about longevity, and how long they keep a charge.

Todd, I’ve enjoyed and learned from every single episode you have posted this year. Very Impressive!
Thank you 👍🇺🇸
Thanks so much! Glad to hear!
I enjoy these test comparisons a lot. When you look at the results overall, what your tests indicate is that the most expensive item is usually the best. That's a good thing - it means the manufacturers are providing value. For my own best tool of the decade I vote for the Nitecore TUBE keychain flashlight - I own a bunch of these and they are a real lifesaver - usb rechargeable, very small, durable, good amount of light, cost about $10, and I always have a flashlight with me !!
Thanks! Glad to hear!
Love the video! another great year. Have you ever considered testing soldering irons? I'd love to see how those stack up, especially with battery models compared to wired ones.
Thanks! Thanks for the suggestion.
Great video. Happy New Year. How about a behind the scenes video: What do you do with eight sets of tested jack stands, eight knife sharpeners, eight jumper cables, etc.?
Thank you for the video idea! Happy New Year to you!
I absolutely love this channel. You've taught me so much over the years!

I saw another channel a few months back where the guy was doing reviews as well. He spoke very much like you do during your videos and I called him out on it. He was humble enough to admit he liked your channel and watched you a lot as well. I guess there's no better sign of how good you are and how far you've come than when you become the one the others immitate. It's been a pleasure watching your videos over the years and I'm looking forward to continue watching more in the years to come. Thank you..

Jump starters; After watching your review of jump starters I identified a need to jump start a small van that had been sitting for 9 months under somewhat remote conditions. Checking prices I found the Gooloo you tested for under $100 delivered. Not the "best" not the worst. Long story short I ended up jump starting the van 3 times in a row with the third start as good as the first. I then had to jump a Cummins 4BT 3.9L diesel again with no noticeable loss of performance of the jump starter with no recharging of the jump starter in between starts. 4 starts in more or less one after another and the battery gauge still showed full power. Granted both engines were easy starters I still can't complain about the jump starter. Thanks for the testing that allowed me to find a product that worked well for me.
You are welcome!
Great testing summay info! Thanks for useful and interesting videos!
Thanks and you are welcome!
This is definitely my favorite testing channel. I was going to order the Noco Jump Starter based on the video recommendation (one of the cheaper models, 1000A model for $79 is fine for all of my cars BUT reading the reviews there seems to be a problem with the On/Off button that hasn't been resolved (along with some other problems), and as this device just sits in your trunk for months, it won't be cool for it not to work when you really need it months from now. It has a year warranty, so you could conceivably have it in your trunk and not used for over a year, only to find out it is dead when you need it.
