I love the story of Romeo so much. It's heart breaking to know Geppetto was deliberate in sending the likeness of his best friend to kill him. I really really hope we get to see more of him, his little snippets of memories with Carlo are one of my favourite parts of the game
I really like what they did with the Pinocchio story in this game Now I feel really bad for Romeo and his subordinates. Thanks for offering insight into these characters.
The first time, I was weirded out (by the crying face) but didn't mind, as I loved the fight itself. But after, the puppets, I had to put the game down when I saw they weren't just still, they were crying with their heads in their hands. That broke me for a good few hours
@@georgekatkus5162 Well i was supicious about Geppetto since Mad Donkey dialogue but I thought that Geppetto done it by accident but later in the game we found out why he started puppet frenzy, i was so depressed for killing Romeo
@theyo9619 I want it too but that will not happen because in soulslike and soulsborne games in 90% of cases every interesting support character dies or betrayes main character
@@tankbeast8480 the mindless king of puppets obeyed law zero and acted as a scapegoat for the puppet frenzy. some time after romeo awakened, well into the puppet frenzy, he broke free from law zero and began freeing the other puppets from it as well to stop the massacre, but he awakened too late, after most of the city had already been slaughtered or afflicted with petrification disease. the freed puppets only fought against alchemists and the stalkers they hired. his fate as a scapegoat, sadly, had already been set in stone.
Even when Geppetto ordered the frenzy, the puppets didn't kill just any human, the loophole Geppetto used to make them get around the law of not harming human is killing only the ones with the petrification disease, as the petrification disease turns them into monsters and they're not considered human anymore by the puppets.
Great video! Lies of P's story is so well done, going back through NG+ and hearing what the puppets were actually saying this whole time is heart breaking. I would love a video on Sophia next! I remember the first time it clicked that the respawn mechanic is Sohpia turning back time for you so you can keep trying to free her. Blew my mind lol
I had that same thought, but I have this game a try and was actually able to beat it. After I did I went back and played Elden Ring and bloodborne. Lies of P is a great game to get into the souls-borne genre.
You should give it a try, you can grind to get a little overpowered and TH-cam search for the best weapons and you can also use a summon to make most boss fights manageable. Elden ring was my first fromsoft game and I beat it using magic and lies of p scared me kinda lol but I’m on ng+3 now and I’m not a hardcore gamer at my age
When playing I noticed what he was saying during the fight in the subtitles, I went back to watch some clips I recorded and realized he was probably our ally.
What i dont understand is why was the main guy turned off? There is no way gepetto could have know the blue hair girl would wake us up. What was his actual plan?
To say I was upset we never got to see him again! I absolutely adored his character! It's so difficult to find all of the pieces to really find out the truth about him though, so thank you for this video! He's my favorite character! 🤍💛🖤

Yes, the Pinocchio inspiration is fantastic. Lies of P has deeper lore than I think most expected, many great characters!

Oh man I never realised how desperate Romeo sounded during his boss fight, that's so tragic! Loved the video!
Finally got to watching this.. best character in the game! Romeo is just awesome!

I think genuinely everyone can beat these games with enough patience and learning. The fun part is to get better!
