This is such a cool character. I love the drama in him, how he does all this for the love of his god he can never receive for he is something Adyr could never love.
This is something I haven't put together till now, but the putrid mother blocks direct access to Bramis castle if you get the rune of Adyr before encountering the lightreaper, forcing you to confront him in the upper calrath. From the looks of it, the putrid mother really considered him a thorn in her side and wanted to get rid of him and/or prevent Adyr from having both you and the lightreaper as his champions, which speaks volumes about how formidable the lightreaper is.
From the little we see i assume the lightreaper really loves his job, has a very joker like voice and manner, and he doesn't care if other rhogar hates him. Maybe he could have become our ally if we sided with Adyr.
Honestly I think it's for the best, the man play needed to be put down. I mean hell not even his daddy (Adyr) likes him. Let it be said, Adyr is a deadbeat father
@@WoodenChurch_041considering how umbral works, not to mention that he’s an Umbral entity. I wouldn’t be surprised if he did manage to make a comeback.
Loved this guy from the very first time I saw him in trailer accompanied by Danzig "Mother" song. Damn cool, but I believe they could have developed his storyline more in the game. Thank you for new lotf video!
3:47 in this fight in the middle of the arena there's a large drainage cover, investigate it (and the area) and you'll find that the entity empowering the lighreaper can be removed
awsome work! i love this universe lore. Special that in many ways, we see only glimpse of this universe where we have way more dimmensions than just Umbral, Axion, or Rhogar realms. From Sparky. crafter we know this world is bigger and have many more realms of gods, races and powerfull magic. He litelary was witness to death/ destrucion of one of this world by some strange power, before he was captured by Grelinde.
It's such a shame that they decided to go with asinine boss/npc quest design, whereupon if you're just good at the game you'll miss most of the quests. This guy, for example, died the very 2nd time I faced him, which meant I missed the entire Paladin Isaac questline -.-
Thought this was gonna be a great game, boy was I wrong. This game is a technical nightmare and the level design is so terrible. I gave up at Kal Rath. I'm playing sekiro Instead and having a blast. F this game.
I didn't like the game all that much but one thing i gotta give it props for is the lore , it is interesting and helps establish interest with many characters
The Lightreaper is so iconic... man I'm so sad how underrated this game is.. it deserves better
Couldn't agree more, a great atmosphere and rich stories
Yes even with some issues I had with the game like crashing and stuff I love it and the reaper is a formidable warrior.
I was a dark souls fan but after lords I can’t go back. Currently have about 225 hours in
This was my favorite game of 2023, I've been waiting for you to do a video on the light reaper
Hope you enjoyed!

I never realized how truly powerful the gods, demons and even our own characters are in lore accuracy, this game and its lore are truly astounding
The light reaper is so sick but damn if he kicks my ass in New Game plus
The VaatiVidya of LOTF, keep up the good work!
Let it be said.... "Adyr is a deadbeat Father"

He could have but the putrid mother forces you to confront him before you speak to Adyr likely to prevent this very team up.
I don't understand why he only stalked Dark Crusaders but no Wayfarer who also had umbral lamp, also he looks more like Batman who laughs.
@AmonnRa he didn't want smoke with the main character plus pretty sure he's so op he doesn't need the lamp
@@kanyenorth2605But Iron Wayfarer is not main character
One of my favorite characters, I hope he survived and we get to see more of him in the future.
I don’t wanna be that guy but he kinda died
@@hatefulgaming1800 I know, lol. A man can dream though.
lol he comes back from the umbral and death somehow and he still saying to us "GIVE ME THAT LAAAAMP"

Yeah, I agree that he could've had a richer story, perhaps exploring the disdain Adyr had for him and his umbral nature. Glad you enjoyed!
The Adam Smasher/Darth Vader of lords of the fallen.
When he shows up you're dead.
Love your videos on LOTF. I must say I’ve been waiting on this one most of all however.
Hope it didn't disappoint!
His design is awesome.
From the story to the art direction to the fights, he is such a great adversary

I’m so glad you’re making more Lord of the Fallen lore!
Hope you enjoyed!
@@TheLorebrarians I hope to see more, I have so many questions about the lore that I wonder if i could find
