I found that my bottled glass beers have all tasted fresh and gave a better flavour, I have my first beer in PET bottles and they now are over carbonated and the flavour isn't as strong. Also the carbonation drops when I refrigerate them as the co2 goes back into the beer.

Yep, I think for long term storage I will go with the glass ones every time from now on. I did use the drops on all of them from what I remember, but a good review that I enjoyed doing that one..

Hi double tap, great video mate. I have recently been gifted a home brew starter kit containing 40 of the brown plastic bottles. Do you think they'd be ok short term, to be honest I reckon they'll all be empty within a few weeks. All the best, Tony

Nothing wrong with the plastic ones I just prefer the glass and the beer seems to last and stay better in glass, plenty for sale on ebay so worth a look if you want to long term brew, best of luck Tony :)

Hi DDT could you please tell me when to add the spraymalt and the demerara sugar please.Regards Ady

When you open you beer kit add hot water first and it will help disolve the kit, then add the spray malt and sugar stir it all in and then top it up with cold water to the desired ammount. Hope this helps Ady..

Hi, where do u store your fermentation bucking during the initial fermentation? I’m new to brewing and don’t know where is the best place to do it whilst it’s this hot

All of mine reguardless of if it's beer wine etc are all kept in the front living room, before that they were in the downstairs wash room or sometimes in the downstairs bathroom. All of the room's have thick floor tiles or concrete floor so it helps to keep it cooler in this weather and never go above 20-22c
