    Hey guys, I hope this video helped you answer some questions about what it takes to be an Amazon DSP owner!
    If you’re interested or need more info about dsps check out the website.

      Hey Juan, I have a question. Do you personally believe it’s a profitable business? The cost of labor, vans, maintenance and insurance.
      Also, do you think amazon will start using drones for delivery and will DSPs have access to drone delivery too?

    • @IAmTheJuanAndOnly
      @IAmTheJuanAndOnly  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you can keep your company afloat and start doing good. Yea. You’ll start making great money! You might struggle a bit in the beginning, but if you get past the hard part which is always the starting point you’ll start making great money. And yeah drones should be starting pretty soon! I want to be a pilot for one and not sure amazon might just do it themselves. But if they do allow daps I want in!

    • @angelgjr1999
      @angelgjr1999 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      IAmTheJuanAndOnly Yes that would be cool. We could park the vans, and deliver with drones to the houses. It would be handy in rural delivery with long driveway.

    I just joined Amazon being a delivery associate with a new facility. And my DSP owners are excellent people. They are very understanding and support all of their drivers. Plus they moved me up to a lead driver and let me work the dispatch desk more often. They just stress a little because they can't get dependable workers. And a lot of people apply. But can't get past the background check. Hats off to all DSP owners who stick with it and provide great employee service.

  • @Riptide886
    @Riptide886 3 ปีที่แล้ว +12

    You have to have 30,000 verified in your bank to get the process rolling. There are a lot of hoops and hurdles that you have to go through before amazon lets you come on board. They say 10,000 to start but if you don't have the 30,000 in your bank your application isn't gonna go anywhere. Also, even though you pay money to start the dsp amazon still charges you a daily rental fee for the blue amazon vans. You don't really have full control of your dsp, because at the end of the day amazon decides the fate of the dsp. They can offboard any driver at anytime if they choose to. They can also ground any van at any time for any reason that see feel fit to do so.

    • @IAmTheJuanAndOnly
      @IAmTheJuanAndOnly  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A dsp owner or a dsp can’t be let go until the contract is over. But you can get your routes reduced if you’re doing team is doing a bad job. Meaning less money for you .

    • @Riptide886
      @Riptide886 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@IAmTheJuanAndOnly That is almost entirely true. A DSP can have their contract cancelled if a major violation has occurred from the dsp. Amazon can also keep dropping the DSP’s routes causing them to eventually step out. I did see that happen at one of the stations where i originally loaded up from.

      depending on the dsp. some pay you for 40 hours a week and some only pay you what you work. so it can range. it can range from 450-600 a week.

    Interesting, someone I know was kinda interested so I sent him this video , mentor did me wrong today it gave me a phone manipulation and I didn’t even touch it , it was in the docking station, I was just driving down the road , I sent feedback cus that’s not fair although I doubt nothing will happen!

    • @IAmTheJuanAndOnly
      @IAmTheJuanAndOnly  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Appreciate you sharing! And I believe it. The mentor app is wack! Like I’ve said before they really need to work on a different scoring or fix the app. It’s way too sensitive.

    • @Stallionfragrancereviews
      @Stallionfragrancereviews 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      IAmTheJuanAndOnly yeah I tried to leave feedback, and they just gave some generic answer supposedly the phone was touched for 3 seconds

    • @IAmTheJuanAndOnly
      @IAmTheJuanAndOnly  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Of course. Sorry for your point reduction. Not really much one can do. You can ask your dsp maybe they can help? But other than that. The app is trash lol
