I'm high porosity and I use the LCOB method and that really helps my hair retain moisture. My hair loves fresh aloe vera, ayurvadic herbs, oils and butters.
It’s like finding treasure when I find something about high porosity. ❤️😎😆🤩. I use Mane Choice the green one for 4c hair LEAVE IN It has flaxseed and my hair MELTS
This was so informative and easy to understand. I’ve been searching for a guided routine on TH-cam for ages and finding this video was like a shinning beacon of light. thank you so much!
First things first I’m a new subscriber girl I found you on Instagram from one of my home girls page and I am so happy I found your channel girl because this is perfect I do not know anything about really how to best take care of my real hair so I think that this is so helpful for me thank you so much and also I was on a journey is supporting black TH-camrs like myself happy to have found your channel.
I washed my hair about 3 days ago and did my twists two days ago using the loc method. I usually do the lco because it made more sense to me since the oil would seal in moisture. I did research to find that loc method is better for high porosity hair and it has been working wonders. With the lco method, my hair would quickly lose moisture after two days but my hair has lots of moisture left.
I use a cream leave-in and after use a oil/butter homemade solution which is (natural Shea butter and olive oil) mixed in a spout bottle. Is that okay to use?
In other words, film forming humectants are the way to go. You could even use them to seal in the moisture as well. For example use aloevera gel, then go in with a light cream of your choice and then aloe Vera gel again to seal the moisture in. Voila!
can you do l. c. o. a? because using a oil before the cream will prevent the cream from being about to moisturize your hair right?. could i do a l.c.o. a and then also seal with aloe ? because my hair is super super super dry. like if you have ever use the aphogee protein treatment, that how my hair feels even when I am not using a protien treatment.
Thank you so much for this video! I have long, fine blonde hair with minimal damage but prone to breakage easily. Could I do a LCOAB method based on my hair needs? i.e. Liquid leave in -> water soluable cream -> argon or avocado oil -> ACV/aloe spray -> butter/water insoluable cream? Or should the ACV mix after the butter?
Hi! I have fine/wavy to curly hair. I just start the CGM and after watch a lot of videos, I’m still 🤷♀️. I have damage/dry hair doesn’t like proteins that much love moisture and I’m doing the leave in, gel and oil. Am i doing it right? When u said do the LOC that means leave in, oil and cream so the cream is the gel? I can’t use a lot of products because my hair get very limp and no volume so could u give any suggestions? Thanks
Heey idk if this would help, I have fine hair and scalp problems so it’s hard for me to find good products as well. -I’ve noticed that my hair is weird with protein sometimes, but if I do the treatment 1 every two weeks my hair likes it, I use rice water as a proteins treatmen -For wash days, I’ve been keeping my hair in twists and washing it with black afrian soap once a week (doing only water cleanse some days). Using olive oil for my twists (just ordered almond and grape seed oil because they do magic with my high porosity hair) -Scalp massage 1 week, ACV rinse when I shower (a spray with rose water would be great for everyday mist) and on days I’m using my hair out I use shea moisture jamaican castor oil leave in My hair is low density tho and I cant say this would work for u but just leaving it here for whoever might need it
With the LCOB method: is the oil a moisturising oil, since the butter is used to seal? Or is this method supposed to seal twice with first the oil then the butter?
What shampoo & conditioner do you recommend for hair that soaks up oil & grease and everything smh 🤦🏾♀️ my daughters hair is like that & it gets so dry

Charles told me about you and I’m so happy he did. My hair needs some lovin. I’m going to try the LCOB.
I use the LAOC method and its very moisturizing to my hair. The A is for Aloe Vera juice.
Love that tip on LOCA will try that, great informative video👏🏽
Let me know if you try it!! So many high porosity ladies swear by it
I can't believe I just now discovered your channel. One of the BEST curly queen videos I've seen! So informative & helpful!

What can I use on my daughters hair , her hair dries super quick ! And stays dry. What would be a good detangler ?
This is so helpful! Thank You! I am a 4C, and it has been challenging.

My hair absorbs moisturizers too quickly which leaves my hair super dry all the time, I hate it
How are you sealing your hair after your Cream Moisturizer
NowIAmNappy well I don’t seal it, I don’t know what to seal it with.
NowIAmNappy can u help me with any suggestions on what to do because I need help?
So I recommend Uniqurls leave in, it’s a heavy product and you can seal with Shea butter or mango butter or castor oil
@@NowIAmNappy I so appreciate the fact that you have taken the time to answer these questions. Bless you, SIS-STAR!
Do you still recommend the Naturalology Butter Me Up?
Yess it’s very good
@@NowIAmNappy Ok, just ordered it and excited to give it a try!
I will be trying the LCOB method!
Yes I’m sure that will work very well for you my dear
Again thanks for the tips
Woodlyne Pierre you’re welcome 😉
I can use Braggs Orgnaic Apple Coder vinegar and water and it acts like aloe Vera water? 😲😲😲
I struggle with humidity my hair is moisturised I start off with a lovely twist out but during the day it reverts and shrinks to a tight Afro 😞
Girl mines too 🙄
Try looking for glycerin free products. Glycerin doesn't work with high humidity.
What shampoo & conditioner do you recommend for hair that soaks up oil & grease and everything smh 🤦🏾♀️ my daughters hair is like that & it gets so dry
My hair hates butters and aloe vera juice.
Do you have fine strands?
@@NowIAmNappy Lol, I do, any advice is greatly appreciated!
That’s it mean am low porosity?
You could definitely be low porosity. Does your hair take a long time to get we And absorb products
Aloe Vera juice makes my hair dry
It doesn’t absorb products
I just use as a mask or rinse out conditioner
