  • Pep is a very good manager. But the tactics he uses are especially good and exactly what gets him the results. Positional play wins trebles for a reason and in this video is all about positional play and why it’s so effective.

The thing is positional play can be reduced even further into just triangles. You pass, move and get open. Find the lanes. It's even more important that you're open than whether you're in the correct zone.

just like in military tactics over the span of human history, as long as there is one dominant tactic, given time someone else is going to find a better counter tactic... just matter of time. For instance, football used to realish total football or playing one big tall striker up-front or sweeper roles in defence as once dominant and superior... nobody really fancy these "ancient" style of play these days. Insightful video ...cheers☺

It is the best tactic in the world not just because of the exploitation of the Half-spaces or positional rotations but because every player is required to be a playmaker.
Now I'd like to know your take on the following -
    1) Inzaghi's use of positional rotation in a perceived defensive 352 setup
    2) Nagelsmannn use of the concept of minimal width (& it's various term)
    3) The use of relationism and positional play as an hybrid which leads to dynamism eg Girona's tactics. Is it feasible in the near future?
And I love your simplicity in analysis. Keep it up, I just subscribed.

@@gabrielalohan728What is this, a flipping test?!? Jesus... That's pretty bold of you demanding the next topics he discusses. You didn't even ask, you acted like you're at a drive thru and just started naming your order, and then in true mafia style, "I look forward to your reply." Were you stroking a black cat, too? Jesus... probably one of the most entitled copy-pastes out of Wikipedia I've ever seen.
You don't really think anyone believes you know anything about those tactics or formations, do you?
