They’re not exactly the Navy SEALS, but I have a soft spot for NM cops. A couple summers ago I was driving the back way home to Denver from Santa Fe and broke down at night in the middle of nowhere about 40 miles from Taos. No other cars in sight. Miraculously a county sheriff rolled up. He told me there weren’t any tow trucks until the morning. It was warm so I decided to crash in my car and wait for several hours. I fell asleep and woke up a couple hours later when the same deputy came back. He brought me a Tupperware bowl full of his wife’s posole, some tamales and a few bottled waters. It was an amazing act of kindness. He was just checking on me and making sure I was good. Thank you Deputy Maestas wherever you are. (The food was amazing)
That made me cry. (I’m a mom of two mid 20’s kiddos that are out there in the world already. From their home to mine, is a lot like NM and it made me tear up reading your comment.) ❤️

Those were the stop sticks in his back seat that were taken out for the chase. Im curious the other counties you say you've seen this from. Probably rural or from an undercover cop or cops on a special assignment/in circumstances such as this.
its ironic that probably the most dangerous part of taking a triple murder suspect into custody may still be running across that highway to deploy the stop sticks.
Statistically it is! In the entirety of the US (keep in mind this includes high gun crime areas) More officers are killed while doing traffic stops/ being in traffic than getting shot

You have to take into consideration you have Highway patrol working the Feds. Two separate entities that use different radio codes and different terms/slang.
Having been on lots of scenes like these, two things really struck me: 1) the officers on scene were making every effort to ensure that everyone was treated respectfully and all medical issues were addressed, and 2) it takes a little time to sort this stuff out on the side of a road. Kudos to the professionalism of the officers involved. They were cautious and didn't rush anything.
Oveall the officers were professional once they made contact with them. They seemed to really be genuine in their concern about her and the dog. The organization's Facebook page had that one of the dog's she was talking about was a little Yorkie. Can you imagine? And there is still an ongoing court case about the land, it seems that there were two different areas that were on the landlocked parcel which was the organization and not the other way around.
What confuses me is that the lady caught any charges. She had no choice but to go with her caretaker due to her condition. Staying home when he fled was not an option unless she felt like dying.
Everyone seemed so nice and calm, including the suspect. You never know what a person can do, like bro killed 3 people and left 1 in the ICU and had the calmest reaction to being arrested just wishing the person he cared for was okay.
He’s seems like a normal dude and people were on his property and he probably thought he was in the right defending his property. Plus if the neighbors poisoned two of their dogs before he shot them then he was probably just waiting for them to step on his property so he could shoot them.
if he truly believe what he did wasnt wrong then there's no reason for him to overreact or be aggressive. im surprised he didnt ask why he was being pulled over.
That’s what happens when you fully cooperate with police. I’ve never been anything but completely respectful to cops even when I’m in the wrong and have never had any issues with them as a result.
They seem to genuinely care about them and treated them with respect. Can you imagine they killed the lady's Yorkie? Also, the Gazette in Colorado Springs reported that there were multiple guns recovered and several types of ammunition. They haven't determined which guns the firing came from! The article reported Clark's attorney had several points of failure by law enforcement in Colorado to respond to the multiple reports of Clark and other people who knew about their situation.

One of the best police videos I’ve watched from start to finish I didn’t not even look for other videos to watch or skip it I was watching the whole video , ARIZONA
That officer that pulled up to the scene stressed and cussing was probably swearing cuz he realized how close they came to making a felony stop on the wrong vehicle 😂

I got the vibe she was being highly deceptive and the cops knew it. @@LiamL763 how tf did she get the prescription by a physician and has a full time care taker if she is faking??? besides its feels like he shot the people and just put her in the car and fled. he couldnt leave her there to die.
I feel like he wasn't even running. I think he knew these would be their last moments together and he left, hoping for any extra time he could get. As soon as the lights came on, he stopped. One of those situations where otherwise normal people let their emotions and frustration take over and that moment is irretrievable. He knew this was it for him and he wanted to spend those last moments with them and not with the police kicking down their door. I can understand that part. I'm glad he didn't run or resist or hurt anyone else. Interesting watch.

According to the more recent newspaper articles out of Colorado Springs, it was reported multiple guns were recovered from the scene, and multiple bullet types were there, and the CBI still hasn't determined who shot who, but they are still holding him. Seems like he was trying to get her to safety. I think that's why he was so calm and asked for the police help, which the State Patrol officer is reported to have done in the video by getting her the seizure medication that had her name on the prescription.
Fact that the female suspect had to pay $100,000 bond is ridiculous, she had no other option but to go with male suspect since he's her caretaker and what's even more fucking funny is that male suspect can just pay $2,000,000 bond to get out after killing 3 people and she had to pay 1/20 of that for being innocent

I totally agree. Unless there is some damming evidence that she actively assisted in the murders, there should be no conviction.

@@mattkurek9259 NO one who has a doctor AND a seizure disorder has 90 seizures a DAY. or is on only CBD drops. remind yourself that shes a liar and it will all start to make sense. I work in ED, if you cannot present your drs name and your meds and claim a condition, it is deemed UNTREATED or "self reported" because it doesnt exist without a dx. shes using this condition and shaking only her hands and carefully acting. ive seen THIS in ED a thousand times from drug seekers too. you learn to recognize real seizures when youve seen every type for years. Some are much LESS prominent with body movement and more severe than what shes doing her. ADD that shes nervous and anyone would be shaking..shes very well trained in exploiting her illness and it does not invoke compassionwhen its used to disguise her role in ALL of this.
Impressed by how calm, polite, kind and professional they were towards the dangerous male suspect and his female passenger during the entire takedown operation.
"I have epilepsy"
Cop: "See right here in front of this truck with flashing lights?"
Not all epileptics have seizures triggered by flashing lights. My seizures occur out of the blue with no trigger.
Only about 5% of epileptics have seizures triggered by flashing lights. It’s a very small fraction of parents. That being said I think the cop still should have thought that one thru 🤦♀️. Especially being a light sensitive epileptic myself.
😐
@just-no6100 Thank goodness my parents aren't part of that 5%.
@@workingwithpaul I am sorry you have to deal with that; i can't imagne how difficult it must be.
I'm a retired LEO, who trains these officers to pull In Front of a Suspects Vehicle? That puts the officers in an Immediate Cross Fire Situation! Horrible tactics, especially for a Felony car stop! You'll NEVER see that idiotic move by California cops. New Mexico law enforcement needs some serious re-training.
I came looking for this comment! 👌 The rest was a communication failure, but that was just stupid!
John Wayne tactics 😂
Yup. I can forgive the comms, but purposely setting up a crossfire is braindead.
HA! California cops would still be chasing him!
Not being a LEO, I thought that was a clever move! Now that I've read your comment, I realize how crazy it was. I guess our country is lucky to have guys like you doing the training and armchair LEOs like me. 😂

She was charged with 5 counts of Accessory and had to pay 100k bond?? What, from being a passenger? As far as we know, she could be oblivious to what he did. I’m confused.
Yep, need more information than what we currently have and probably won't get until after the trial.
Well if you had two eyes, and weren't a dog Nutter, you would see that she was more than likely faking and that's why she was charged as an accomplice to murder by the people that have more information than us.
Agreed. I truly thought she was not going to be charged with anything. Not sure how she was an accessory to the crimes just by living with him? She was probably laying down in the house when he shot those people. Definitely need more information on this!!
I imagine its because she knew he did it and never reported it. I mean. she HAD to have wondered why they split town so fast right after her "care taker" shot so many rounds outside. I don't think she deserves 5 counts of accessory but she definitely knew what that man did. She didn't question why they were being arrested a single time.

After learning that the neighbors allegedly poisoned the couple's dogs, it makes more sense why an otherwise compassionate and polite man would do what he did. A large capacity for empathy towards those you care for often comes with it a equally large capacity for disdain of those who cause you trouble. Emotional people making poor decisions. Sad all around.
And sadly the judge will likely not allow him to present evidence that the neighbors poisoned his dogs, it could sway some jurors.
